Excited or Meh?

So after playing all of the Simpsons games (and thoroughly enjoying some of them especially Arcade!) just thought id open a conversation to see whether you guys are looking forward to this purchase or if you will be giving it a miss?

Look forward to your comments!

I definitely will be getting this game as Family guy is one of my favourite series ever. If its anything like simpsons hit and run its going to be amazing!

I agree with this. If they can copy The Simpsons: Hit and Run style game play where they have some whacky story with all the characters getting a part and they have a cartoonish style gameplay, than I'll defiantly being buying it.

However my exceptions are indeed pretty "meh" I'm not excepting this to be Game of The Year but I think it will be fun.

Echoing the opinions of the people before me. If they have a Hit and Run style it'll be great. The problems could arise if they try to take eachother too seriously, or overload it with billions of different features. It's most likely not going to be a GotY, but that shouldn't stop it from being a really god damn fun game.

GT did a preview of it and the guy spoke highly of what he saw at Comic-Con.

I can't wait for it.

I remember playing through the Family Guy game on I think Xbox, might have been PS2. That game was short and enjoyable for the family guy humor, not the gameplay. If it's anything like that, it wouldn't be worth $60. Unless it turns out to have a lot of open world content, I'll wait till I can find it for $10 at a pawn shop.

Yeah, I remember the Family Guy game on Xbox and the Simpsons on Xbox 360. Though the gameplay was generally horrible, the games themselves were interesting and fun. It would be awesome if this game was free from the former flaws, but we will see.

Trying to be optimistic and say I'd enjoy it, but frankly no trailer or gameplay vids makes me lean more towards "Meh". At least until either/both are shown lol

SP: SOT will be amazing though.

Because meh, was one of the two options..lol

OT: Im excited for it. If its not a crappy collection of mini games, or some generic "Put family guy skins on anyold product we haven't sold" type game.

By any chance, does anyone know if this is exactly the same as the free family guy game on there website?? If it is, then im changing it to meh.

Not a huge fan of Family Guy these days (like the Simpsons I think they've used most of their best material) but I have to admit I am looking forward to this game. Seems like the sort of game my other half and I can play co-op

I was referring to his post in a FG thread when he says he doesn't even like FG, not his thoughts on the game

Big Family Guy fan but not sure how good this game will be. Will be trying a demo before buying. Even if it is not that good will be a definite rental at the least

@ckingvengence Graphics don't matter. They may not look up to date but that wouldn't make the game not playable.

I love family guy but this doesn't have me interested. It's coming out what.. this month and I've barely heard anything about it. I'm more excited for the South Park game. I will wait for this game to fall down in price and get it at cheapest.

I don't really know. hmmm, I love family guy but loathe Activision. If I hear good things I might get it, most likely be a bargain bin purchase though :/
