Achievement Guide and Roadmap

Scrapdaddy has provided an excellent Roadmap as follows:

Overview:
- Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10
- Offine: 30 (985)
- Online: 3 (15)
- Approximate amount of time to 1000: 15 - 50+ hours (depending on how you play)
- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (you can replay events if needed)
- Missable Achievements: 0
- Do cheat codes disable achievements: N/A
- Does difficulty affect achievements: N/A
- Glitched achievements: None
- Unobtainable achievements: Yes (Be part of the community)
- Extra equipment needed: Kinect, Uplay account

Introduction:
Welcome to my Your Shape: Fitness Evolved roadmap. This is a collection of fitness inspired classes, activities and mini games. The majority of the achievements can be obtained easily enough by just playing whatever activities you like. Nothing is terribly hard and you can make the game as casual or strenuous as your body can take. The time it will take you to complete the game will vary GREATLY depending on how you choose to play. I'll go into more detail in Step 4 below. My suggested breakdown is as follows:

Step 1 - Tutorial/Fitness Test:
When you first start the game you will be forced into a short tutorial and the game will ask you some basic questions. Answer them however you like with the exception of your weight. The answer to this will determine how quickly you will unlock the achievements. You can either go with your actual weight and progress through the game at your own pace or put in the maximum weight of 396 pounds to burn calories (and achievements) as fast as possible. Once you get to the main menu of the game choose "Personal Training" and just answer the questions and play through the basic moves for "First Contact".

Step 2 - Official Website:
With the Fitness test out of the way, take a minute to go to your computer and login to the official website. Login with your Uplay credentials to link to your gamertag then create a challenge (or accept a friends challenge). This will allow you to unlock "Track your progress online" and "Ready Steady Go!" DURING step 3 below. Check the achievement guide for specifics on each of these achievements if you are having trouble.

Please note that if "Events" are ever enabled on the website, you can will be able to join one and get "Be part of the community". Unfortunately, this option has not been supported since the games original release which makes this achievement unobtainable at the present time.

Step 3 - Gym Games:
There are 4 gym games and each one has a score based achievement. They can all be completed on easy and you can keep replaying them as often as you need to. Just look under the four "High Score in... (event)" sections of the achievement guide for tips if you need help. Please note that upon completing the first couple of mini games, your gamertag profile will sync with your Uplay account and you should unlock the achievements mentioned in step 2 above.

Step 4 - Fitness Classes and Calorie Burning:
Now go ahead and go back to the main menu and select Fitness Classes. You need to play through the first parts of both the Zen and Boxing sections to unlock the "entire class" and the 2 respective achievements.

At this point the only thing left to do is burn calories. This is where you need ask yourself a question and make a decision: (a) "Am I here to excercise and achievements are a motivation?" or (b) "Am I here to get achievements?".

If you fall into category "A", then you probably put in your actual weight at the beginning. Just continue to play the game using the personal trainer, fitness classes and gym games that you like. All the calorie related achievements will unlock over time. An average person will be able to burn at BEST around 100 calories per 12 minute workout.

If you fall into category "B", then you put your weight in at 396 pounds when we started. Read "Calorie Score 10,000" for tips on getting over 400 calories burned per 12 minute workout effectively quadrupling the speed in which you will gain the remaining acheivements. This will get you the maximum obtainable gamerscore within 15 total hours or less.

You can also start the game as category "A" and then switch to "B" to speed things up if you like. Or just do a combination of both - it's up to you.

Conclusion:
The game is really pretty good and is a useful tool to get in shape. You can tackle the classes and games in any order and then only play the ones you like to burn the needed calories. The choice is yours as everything counts toward your total calories burned. Have fun!

High Score in Virtual Smash - 20
Get a score of 800 in Virtual Smash

You can do this on Easy mode, if you're fast enough and don't miss any breaks. Make sure you punch across your body or it won't register. If not, do it on Medium mode because there are more blocks to hit.

High Score in Light Race - 20
Get a score of 500 in Light Race

It is best to do this in Medium mode. Just follow the pattern and move your feet to activate the lit up squares. Once the pattern is done, it repeats. The faster you go, the more squares you can step on. Also best done on Medium mode.

High Score in Loop-a-Hoop - 20
Get a score of 300 in Loop-a-Hoop

This is rather easy, I've scored over 400 points on easy mode. Just pull the hoops down with your hands and swirl your hips in a circle. It does work your abs!

High Score in Stack 'Em Up - 20
Get a score of 500 in Stack 'Em Up

This is the hardest of the bunch. The best thing to do is complete Easy mode to unlock Medium mode. Once in medium mode, hold the platform as low as possible so the blocks drop down faster. Some blocks come down on fire and you must raise your leg (left if block falls on left and vice versa) to put the fire out. Get as many blocks stacked as possble, they change color the higher they go. Try and get them to red and then dump them into the traps on the side (when they are open of course).

First Contact - 50
Complete Fitness Test & Quiz.

The first time you go into Personal training the game will ask you some questions. Just answer everything and when you get done you will get this achievement.

1st full Cardio Boxing class - 50
Unlock 1st full Cardio Boxing class.

When you first go in to the Cardio Boxing section the only class unlocked is Cardio Boxing Bronze Part 1. Do this Course. Once you have completed it Cardio Boxing Bronze Part 2 should unlock. Do Part 2 and once you are done with that Cardio Boxing Bronze Complete should unlock, followed shortly after by this achievement.

1st full Zen Class - 50
Unlock 1st full Zen Class.

Same principle as Cardio Boxing, except there are three parts to the first Zen class.

Track your progress online - 5
Link your profile on the official website.

Follow the step by step instructions to connect within the game. Afterwords you will need to do one of the activities so that the game will try to synch with the website.

Be part of the community - 5
Subscribe to an event on the official website.

This part of the website is currently not active so this is not currently achievable.


Ready Steady Go! - 5
Create or accept a challenge from a friend on the official website.

Go to yourshapecenter.com and create or accept a challange. You will need to have linked your profile from within the game first for this to work.

About the "Track your progress online" ach...well, I linked my account with ubisoft website but it didn't unlock...I don't really know what to do... I can access the Uplay menu from the game, I can see the rewards and everything, still no ach....
Did someone have had troubles with this one?

EDIT: never mind I figured it out.. you actually need to play and register your progress on the ubisoft website AFTER you have linked the accounts

approximate amount needed, is meant for an average player, so u have to write something. 10-100-1000 hours???

I don't agree that Stack Em Up is easier to get the score on medium.

Do it on easy. Keep it low so they stack up to the red color and aim to get 2-3 reds each load.

If you get a block land diagonally dump and it causes problems that load and start again.

I did it with 3 full loads and 1 quick load because it was not going to stack well.

Yeah, I have to say 100 is probably still not the most accurate estimate. It was taking me about an hour to get between one and two hundred calories burned. But, I think I need to change the position of my Kinect.

Yeah I can confirm this works too. Instead of a rocking chair I use a Lazyboy recliner with a swivel base. I start up the silver boxing class, pull the chair over and just sit behind it and spin it around. It takes about 12 and a half minutes for this session and I can get 420+ calories a pop. With my three daughters, they each get a turn being spun around and in that 36 minutes I have my next 1000 calorie achievement. Do that once per day for 10 days and you have "burned" all the calories you need for the achievements. And of course set your weight to 396 (the max) for the most burn.

So for completion time: you've got around 2 - 4 hours for the initial setup and misc achievements. Then using this method it would take another 400 minutes (I rounded up to 40 minutes per session to account for load times etc... equals a little less than 7 hours). That means it is completely possible to have all the obtainable achievements within 15 hours or less.

OP: were you planning on writing a Road Map (other than just an Overview I mean)? If not I can write one and link to your guide. Just let me know - I'm with the site Guide Team and I'd like to get his loaded onto the main site but can't do that without a completed Road Map. Assuming you are still checking this thread let me know. Thanks.

With the gym games, I'd disagree on a couple of medium recommendations.

For Light Race: You have to treat easy as a game of Simon (in other words, in the first two repetitions of the pattern, learn the order of moves, and anticipate). I have broken 800 on Light Race on easy doing this, but it is crucial not to break your combo.

For Virtual Smash: Again a game of Simon (learn the pattern, anticipate the start of the punch). I just broke 1300 going hell for leather, so 800 is doable for most (physically, I have a fair amount of stamina but low coordination, so you can do it).

For Loop-A-Hoop: This is the hardest if you aren't coordinated. Do it on easy to avoid having to reach up for hoops more than the once. I found having legs staggered actually helped - a slightly diagonal stance if you do cardio boxing - but that comes down to personal preference. Also, don't forget to breathe!

For Stack-Em-Up: You really need to emphasise the need for greed. You need to be tipping in red blocks. Also, if you start getting triangles and circles, dump the blocks there and then - they'll only stuff you up. Definitely one for perserverance.

Completely agree with this - I did mine on Easy, once I knew the route of the lights (first time through) I anticipated the lights and got faster and faster, by the end I had SMASHED the 500, hitting around 1,000!
