Different animations for Ghost kills with the same weapon?

In the following video:

Just before the Spider Tank, when Ryu moves in the fog, you can see that there is a ghost kill with a different animation (Ryu stabs soldier differently).

I tried different angles and buttons but I was not able to do the exact same animation. I even tried to line up in a better way behind the opponent.

Anyone got an idea as to how it is achieved? Anyone else did this in the game?

Thanks a lot for your time and help.

I just tried the distance, unfortunately it does not seem to be the reason.

Anyone else got any idea?

I would like to know since I find the other animation somehow better.
