I really liked this game too, it stands out and defines itself as more than the average shooter. The ending felt unique, I won't spoil it for anybody, but it certainly didn't feel like the usual problem solved, everybody is happy, bad guy is dead, you're the greatest etc. It was a great ending though, and I was impressed with the game every minute I was playing it.

Must say I haven't finished the campaign yet (chapter 13 so far) and I'm loving it. Single player is much better than anything call of duty, medal of honour or halo can produce I think. Nice variety in the gameplay; achievable yet satisfying achievements too and it's got that "one last go" factor that has kept me up until the early hours of the morning more than once.

For me yes.
The game grows the longer you play it.
And for a book adaption transfered in our time&place it's one of the best "reimaginations".
Awesome voiceacting, fresh setting, some humor and a twist you never expected.
(Not the obvious one, the big one after)
NO Multiplayer cheevos *yes*

What i found *meh* was the graphics,
i mean they're good but you'll see how the UT3 Engine aged.

It's Gears of War without the SciFi, a realistic military shooter with a gutwrenching story and a whole lotta critic on the (US) military.

I absolutely LOVED the story and how it tells how war is BAD instead of glorifying it like the average shooter.
One of my all time favorites for sure <3

woohoo finally beat fubar. took me one whole day. God, hardest part for me was at the last two turrets. i snipped them out (without auto-aim, first thing i deactivate in EVERY Game (also in W@W)) with the scar and rushed up with the last two rockets.

Edit: Sry. Postet in the wrong thread. Great Picture, great Game. Deserved more attention than it got.
