Is My TV Too Small?

When I go to the inventory/quest log/skill trees (Back button!) I see my character to the right. From what I understand I should be able to see the entire model, but am limited to about half of my character. It's just kind of weird. Not inhibiting at all really, but it'd be cool if I could fix it.

I tried to adjust the screen through the in-game options, but that didn't help. I'm wondering if, maybe it's just the TV I'm on and I can't do anything about it? It's not HD, probably 36x24 inches if I had to guess by just glancing at it. Any input would be appreciated.

It's not HD thats gotta be it. It's scaling to SD.

So the game's trying to squeeze into the standard definition? Oh well. That's the only problem, every thing else is perfectly visible. But it's weird, I have a friend who definitely doesn't have an HD TV and he doesn't have my problem.

I'm not sure what the problem is but to answer your question...yes, it's too small...for me that is. Mine's 72" x 36".

The game changes aspect ration to fill the whole screen while it was designed with 16:9 (if that makes sense for you)
basically unless your native resolution isn't 1280/70 or any other 16:9 the image is going to be squished. I've had that happen when playing this on my PC monitor instead of TV you can also clearly see defect when playing splitscreen.

Yeah that's a lot of crazy speak to me. It's fine, I was just wondering if there was anything I could do. I'll probably get an HD eventually, but other than stuff like this I see no real reason to upgrade.
