Sleeping Dogs Story DLC, Nightmare in Northpoint, available October 30

Quote:
Square Enix managed to find a surprising success in Sleeping Dogs, their crime drama that takes place in a engaging open-world Hong Kong. Since the game's summer release, it's gotten DLC offerings that give players new racing or cop missions as well as packs filled with new customization options but nothing in the form of new adventures for Wei Shen.

In a panel at New York Comic-Con, the developer of Sleeping Dogs says the game will be getting "Nightmare in Northpoint," a new DLC game mode. United Front tells Kotaku the extension will be horror-themed, similar to Red Dead Redemption's "Undead Nightmare" from two years ago.

"With the DLC, we feel we can explore other aspects of Hong Kong cinema," United Front representatives told the panel. The DLC will release Oct. 30.

Every game has its zombies. Don't know if this really fits for this Sleeping Dogs but we will see.

Hate zombies. Hated zombies in RDR. A game about zombies fine (i.e. Dead Rising) but hate when it is added into games that aren't zombie.

honestly, my opinion is zombies in any game makes it better. as long as its a new thing. if its been done before in a series then it gets a bit old after a few games of it. (hint hint)

The way they did Zombies in RDR was brilliant. It was a great stab at zombie B movies, and never took itself seriously. This, likewise, looks like it could, potentially, be quite fun! The main guy looks kinda creepy, and fighting an army of Jiang Shi could be cool, as long as they actually make them look different from normal dudes.

At first I thought... zombies?! WTF?

But then I suppose the chances of zombies showing up in Hong Kong is as good as gangsters spraying bullets with their SMGs on the street in broad day light, so if the original story is acceptable then so must this DLC...

I think this will be good fun. Sleeping Dogs is a great game, and more content with actual substance will be fun simply because the core game is fun. However, I would prefer more DLC in the style of the main game. Give us a new character or something, or extended story. I just want more! As much as I loved the story I don't have much desire I replay it right now, and I've completed everything else the game has to offer.

The DLC is available now from the in-game menu, only 560 MSP and size is 777.70MB!

Go get it!

Yes it is, rather than the dumbass MAX PAYNE 3 - Hostage Negotiation Pack DLC! What a fail.

Yeah the only thing that sucks so far is that you start with only 30.000 HKD. I have over 3 million on my account. Dunno why you start here from scratch.

I assume you don't really need that much money in the DLC.

Well so far the dialogs are fun, same as in the main-game. I'm not done yet. Still at the beginning but I was getting it anway because of my freaking Completionist habits and frankly 560 MSP is not that bad for another 125 , could be 400 but oh well.
