Marrying Ysolda. She was literally the first person who showed interest in me so I married her for the achievement. Not the smartest idea, I can think of better mates.

This is exactly how I play. But I always have an Argonian as a secondary, as I love them.

May I ask what you mean by this? I'm near the end of the MQ at level 35. :/

My biggest regret is that it took me too long to stick with my characters. I've only got two on the go now, but before I had reached this point, I had started 7-8 other characters. I always do. I hate myself for it.

Being too selective in my playstyle that I had to use the Oghma Infinium glitch in order to find legendary dragons, as I literally hadn't levelled in months :P

I regret starting blood on ice. I hated it on the ps3 and I hate it on the 360. it's bugged on me on both consoles, I've got half way through it and I've given up on it this time it's not worth the hassle

Make daggers, enchant, sell. Rinse/repeat often.

Not so much a spoiler, but you get companions and certain summoned/called upon allies that generally stay at the level you acquire them. Odahviing scales up to level 50 and then stops, so if you want the best of him, be over level 50 by the time you finish the MQ. Now that's a spoiler.

If they're not special like Serana or a Dragon, you can wack them with the Wabbajack to morph them, then punch them to unmorph them to re-balance their level.

Also, you raise your enchantment level by enchanting, so enchanting iron daggers you make will work. Albeit I keep hearing that they somewhat nerfed the rate you gain levels in blacksmithing, I can't confirm that.

Yeah so the higher level of quality the item is that you smith, the more experience you get from it. This stops leveling 1 - 100 smithing by just spamming iron daggers.

Yeah I had that done on my normal character almost a year ago. Now if I wanted to grind it out I'd probably use the Oghma or just stick it out.

Besides, its big use is making your own gear, seeing as how you can just boost your enchanting/alchemy and over fortify your smithing better than with the perks anyway.

Enchanting does level up your enchantment skill yes, use high magnitude enchantments that put your enchanted items' value in the crazy numbers, you'll get more xp that way. i prefer using the Banish Daedra enchantment for power leveling with weapons, fortify carry weight with clothing (namely jewelery).

only downside is that you might have too many daggers and not enough traders to sell them to :/ that is my only regret in Skyrim.

Thank you for your reply incinerator.

I had searched a little more on the matter, and UESP says that Odahviing's level is higher than yours by a decent amount when scaling, so he'll cap at 50 when you're level 36, supposedly.

I'm level 35 at the moment, doing Alduin's Bane at the moment, and I have no idea how to test these theories... so, do you or anyone else know anything about the subject?

I may just take what UESP says as a given and just grind a little for 36 and just assume he has capped at 50. I can't be bothered to grind all the way to 50.

I suppose. I just wanted the best for my Nord as he doesn't dabble in Conjuration, so normal summons isn't his thing. Also, I haven't done the Civil War yet, so I was wanting to call Odahviing in on the action (the better he is, the longer he'll last).

That's not a very big deal, there seems to be no shortage of lockpicks in Skyrim (i haz 200+) and i am a lockpicking king* when it comes to Skyrim (and Fallout)

The only regret I had was leaving Frost parked beside a mountain while I went into a dungeon. Came back out and he was dead. Along with several baddies. And this after saving quite a few times. Oh well.

Other than that, no regrets. Didn't do the main story until I was well over level 50, dragons were a breeze. Did the Oghma glitch just to obtain 2-handed, block and a few other skills I'd never use much anyway.

Quite the opposite for me, I only found out about this glitch a few days ago and I had already used the book. I regret not knowing about this glitch sooner, so I could boost the skills up that I never use.

There is a disturbing correlation to real life with a lot of the regrets I've seen posted...

Everyone seems to regret their choice in spouse and seems to want a divorce...
