Am I right in thinking that the "Acceleration" and "Boost" stats mean..

Acceleration being the higher the stat, the less time it takes to aqquire boosts during drifts.

Boost being the amount of speed you get through all forms of boost, including boost pads and power ups.

Just want some clarification on what these stats mean, so that I don't go into an event thinking that a certain stat might help me in a particular way, when it doesn't even represent what I actually think it does.

Far as I know acceleration is how fast you go to top speed. If you crash with a 5 star character you will get momentum back faster compared to a 1 star character. Acceleration is good for levels like Curien Mansion or Burning Rangers.

Not sure about it giving you boost during drifts though, haven't noticed any difference but will have to test it out.

Actually I think there are 3 options
1. How long a boost lasts
2. How much extra speed you get
3. How quick a boost builds up while drifting

In actual racing boosting, and acceleration are similar. This game throws that out the window and puts them in different categories.

Acceleration: how quickly one is able to gain the boost ability through drift.
Boost: once given the ability, power up, or launch pad, this stat is the speed of the boost you are given.

So basically the acceleration stat will determine how quickly you can earn the boost. And the boost stat basically indicates the speed of the boost.

This seems confusing, but it easily explainable. I am a huge fan of racing, so thought this was slighlty odd, but then once figured out, it makes some sense.
