Morolarim's Gamercard
Achievement Guide

This game is fairly straight-forward, and as long as you're thorough, you shouldn't have any need of this guide. Nevertheless, if you want to be sure to get everything, here's my guide. First one, so I apologize beforehand if I've missed something!

Back to business 5
You support the local weapon trade. That's... well, nice of you.

Simply trade with a merchant. You'll most likely get this once you reach the Black Hand hidehout and trade with Spearhead.

King of the arena 10
You fought like a lion and ended up victorious in the Row.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Nobody's perfect 15
The Imperial officer in the Monastery seemed to be of good faith. Just to be safe, you offed him.

Once you reach the Monastery, you will have the option to go after an Imperial officer or leave him alone. Going after him will earn you this achievement.

Warrior 50
You have valiantly dealt with all the trials in Of Orcs and Men

Finish the game on Hard.

I'm a killer 30
You slit 47 throats and they never saw it coming. So you dig?

Simply assassinate 47 unaware guards as Styx.

You crack me up 30
You have a delicate tendency to break the bones of people who get in your way, so congratulations.

When Arkail goes into a rage, he may sometimes preform finishing moves on human enemies, and for this achivement you need to do these finishing moves on 15 humans. This will most likely come naturally.

Big chest lover 75
So you went digging around in every corner to find at least twenty chests to empty, huh?

Simply find and open 20 treasure chests/bags. This will most likely come naturally as they're rarely hidden and glow orange.

Jack of all blades 30
You hit eight enemies with a single blow. Huh, not bad.

The easiest way to do this is to play as Arkail, get surrounded by enemies, and use his Round Attack. Goblins work best since they're small and come in great numbers.

Guidance counselor 15
You were able to find the best people for your squad for the assault on the Pillar.

This achievement requires you to spare Dakath, see Samaritan. Speak to Marhlok to appoint your selected orcs. For runner, pick Dakath. For Warrior, pick Garok, and for Strategist, pick Drakane.

Smart and smarter 5
You chose to improve one of your Skills before you learned another one. Kudos for that.

For this, simply wait to improve one of your already learned skills before you learn another one. Easiest would be to wait 'til level three and upgrade a default attack for either Styx or Arkail.

Poisoner 10
You don't like wasting perfectly good poison, so you cleaned your blade off on 3 different enemies.

Using Styx's Poisoned Daggers skill, poison three different enemies and this achievement will pop. Note, they need to be poisoned at the same time.

Go bling-bling 15
You only wear upgraded equipment. It's a matter of reputation.

At a merchant, you can choose to upgrade your equipment. Upgrade the weapon and armour you're wearing and this will pop when you exit the merchant.

I know a shortcut 5
The good thing with shortcuts is that they are faster. It would seem you got that right.

This will probably be the first achivement you get. Simply go to Skills and bind a skill to LT and RT with both Styx and Arkail.

Deratizator 15
You cut short the Goblin invasion in the shantytown. Pretty violently.

You'll get a quest from Monkey in the Black Hand Hidehout to stop a large group of Goblins that are invading Shantytown. Kill them all (there are a total of three waves) and this achievement will pop.

A hair too late 15
You pulled your girlfriend Brune out of trouble. She owes you a massage for that.

After the quest above, Fox will mention that she heard of another Bloodjaw trying to get across the Wall. Accept the quest to find him and fight your way to the end for this achievement.

Well trained 15
You got even with the Trainer. And he got dead.

This quest can be acquired from Spearhead/Fox after talking to the Last, though you must have challenged and beaten Monkey before Spearhead will mention it. It's a fairly straightforward quest, kill a few enemies and the boss at the end and the achievement will pop. If you want to get the Guidance counselor achievement, this quest must be completed.

One less nutcase 15
You avenged your friend and killed the mad Shaman. He'll guide the dead himself.

After your first excursion into the sewers, you'll be given the choice between saving Arken or going after Sarkyss. Choose to save Arken and kill the Shaman for the achievement. Be warned, this boss can be quite difficult, so prepare well.

Hand shake 15
You showed those Black Hands who's the boss.

When you reach the Black Hand Hideout and talk to Spearhead the first time, he will tell you about a Black Hand tradition – the Challenge. All you have to do is beat the living daylights out of Spearhead, Fox, Monkey and the Last for this achievement to pop. A defensive stance worked the best for me, and the hardest of them seems to be Monkey. Be aware that you have to do the quest to kill the Trainer before the Last will fight you.

Off the Wall 50
You finally got past that damn Wall ! Well done!

Story related and cannot be missed.

Class struggle 15
You avoided a miners' revolt. Thanks to you, they will be able to die for a nobler cause.

You'll get this quest from Adek after winning the Row. Simply kill a few guards and the quest will be completed.

Throat-slitter 15
You sent Styx to introduce his daggers to the sentinels of the Mire. He thanks you.

After putting down the miner's revolt, Adek will ask you to help him once more. If you accept, you'll send out Styx on a mission alone, requiring you to remain stealthy if you want to get out alive. I assassinated every single guard (except one), but the achievement popped as soon as I assassinated the guard captain.

I don't like chit-chat 5
You didn't feel like letting Gorkash bore you with his bull, so you cut him off.

When you reach the Head Foreman in the Mire, just choose the [Kill] option right away. Easy points.

No quarter 15
You have imposed your authority by taking out all opposing Orcs. An age-old method that still works.

After defeating the Head Foreman, Adek has a quest for you to track down the last few hiding foremen. At the end you have the choice to kill or spare Dakath. Kill him for the achivement to pop.

Samaritan 15
In a spirit of forgiveness as heroic as it was delusional, you decided to spare Dakath the traitor.

Same as the above, only spare Dakath at the end. If you want the Guidance counselor achievement, you must spare him.

All this for that 15
You had to put up with a pile of enraged Goblins, but you got your flask of water!

A quest for the shaman in the Mire, available after you defeat the Head Foreman. Simple as the others, kill a bunch of goblins, get achivement.
Tip: In this quest you will come across a large group of goblins by a fire, this is a good place to get the Jack of all Blades achievement.

The beast and the beast 5
Garok is now your friend for life. Now that's a sign of upcoming great conversations!

Assuming you killed Dorek the Trainer, by talking to Gorek and telling him that the Trainer is dead, this achievement will pop.

You mythed! 5
You showed that big-mouth Braggart that when he blows his own horn he's talking to the wrong guy!

Assuming you possess 'The Gift', which is acquired by killing Dorek the Trainer and speaking to the Last, when you speak to Braggart after defeating the Head Foreman and this achievement will be yours.

Team spirit 15
You made sure to put together a special team to assault the Pillar from the Mire.

As long as you appoint your orcs this achievement will pop. If you let Marhlok do it, you're out of luck.

In open air 50
You managed to escape the Mire. With the chick, too.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Slicer-Dicer 10
You decided to forget your past to devote yourself to a career as an Assassin. Enjoy.

When you enter Arkence's mind you will be taken through the past of Styx and Arkail, and at the end of each zone, you will be given a choice between two professions.

Into the shadow 10
You decided that black magic isn't so bad, especially when you're the only one who knows it.

See Slicer-Dicer.

Inner rage 10
You turned Arkail into a berserk monster. More than before, that is. And it went well. For some.

See Slicer-Dicer.

Anger management 10
You helped Arkail control his rage. Those of his friends and family who are still alive thank you.

See Slicer-Dicer.

I've got my friends in my head 50
You've gone through nightmares, but now you're finally setting off for the Island of Laments.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Regicide the first 10
You’ve killed Emperor Damocles. Which is nice to hear, ‘cause that was the idea in the first place.

Upon reaching the Temple of Laments, you will reach a scene in which you meet the Emperor. Kill him for the achivement.

Your sister too 50
You have taken on the most formidable warriors in the Empire. Apart from you, of course.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Repeat offender 50
You killed the Emperor again, and set fire to the Tower. Maybe you should stop now.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Rakash 20
You have smoothly dealt with all the trials in Of Orcs and Men.

Clear the game on Easy.

Mercenary 30
You have bravely dealt with all the trials in Of Orcs and Men.

Clear the game on Medium.

Bloodjaw 100
You dealt with all the trials in Of Orcs and Men like a berserker.

Clear the game on Extreme difficulty.

Tips:
- Whenever possible, scout ahead with Styx and assassinate as many enemies as you can before bringing in Arkail, especially in the later stages of the game.

- Defensive Stance is generally your friend, but Round attack from the Offensive skill tree is truly a life saver. It does send the Rage level skyhigh though, so be mindful of that.

- Styx has a plethora of skills to cause vulnerabilities in enemies, make use of these!

The hard way 5
You handled your first quarrel like... an Orc. Well, you sure got into your character!

When you first come across Sork, let him know what Arkail thinks about him working with humans.

Talk it out 5
You allowed Styx to calm things down before Arkail went berserk. Literally.

When you first meet Sork, have Styx talk to the sergeant before Arkail lets Sork know what he feels about him working with humans.

Manual worker 5
Nice move, you sliced up a boss without a single auto attack!

Simpler than it sounds. Find a boss character and stack up your attacks, making sure that you never auto-attack. Once dead, it'll pop.

To each his branch 10
As a good specialist, you've decided to learn every skill in a single tree.

Learn every skill in the Offensive or the Defensive skill tree for either Styx or Arkail.

My house!
50
As a good master, you've decided to learn and perfect each Skill in a single tree.

Upgrade every skill in the Offensive or the Defensive skill tree for either Styx or Arkail.

I didn't keep track, unfortunately, but if you play through on Extreme I'd imagine about 10-15 hours, depending on your skill. The combat system is apparently similar to that of Game of Thrones, so if you're used to it (which I wasn't) you might have an easier time. That said, it's quite unforgiving, so you might want to give it two playthroughs like I did.

The difficulties stack.

There is only one part that was tough for me on the extreme setting and that was defeating Monkey in the Black Hand sidequest. I got him down to about 20% health a few times but couldn't finish him off. Still not sure what build you need to get past him on Extreme. Defensive maybe?

So I left a save just before that fight and then after beating it on extreme, reloaded and played those fights again on easy. I then had to play up until meeting Braggart as you have to have completed all the Black Hand fights for "You Mythed" to unlock.

Any advice on fighting the final boss on extreme difficulty? He keeps self-healing and resurrecting the berserker orcs and they keep wearing me down until I die.

Oddly enough I'm actually playing Game of Thrones now.. Cyanide makes both of these games.. I wonder if they'll bring this to the states as it actually looks better.

And OP, try and make a 'roadmap' for your guide.. check out other guides for a general idea.. but include hours to complete, number of playthroughs needed/recommended, are all achievements offline (I assume yes) and rate the difficulty.

Cheers for the guide, just bought it today, and never played Game of Thrones,, so have no idea how combat works. But I've been intrigued by this game since I heard about it. Will come in handy.
