the dirt and grass on the hills is what i mean the grass blocks on the hills seem a lot smaller than the ones under them.... could just be the texture pack like but its seems wrong

his games modded anyway so its nothing to get excited about either way

ah right just an optical illusion then..

but still as i said its a modded game and if you do mod it (which you shouldnt) you can add anything to it and since he "wont" give details of how he did it its not really anything to get excited about because it might (read: probably will")not happen

Yeah it's just the line that divides the green grass from the brown part is more distinct in this TP than say the default where it blends nicer.

I can't say I'd buy a texture pack anyway, I only bought a skin pack because the default has always been boring.

i us texture packs from time to time on pc but i wouldnt pay for one... i generally only pay out money when it actually adds something to the game and well minecrafts default textures are fine as they are

I totally regret watching that video. All he did was repeat the same sentence over and over again with his hideously annoying lisp. I want to slap him. And by slap I mean kick his face. Quite obviously he as hacked it.

Regardless of when we do get texture packs to the Xbox version of Minecraft, that texture pack was still pretty 'neat' lol .. even if that one is modded / not real.

Yup, only way to get texture packs on the XB360 is to either have a Jtag or RGH.

I think its popular because its one of the ones thats not too far away from minecrafts vanilla one but still has the HD textures people like.

personally i prefer something like sphax with its nice colourful graphics or john smiths with its dark eerie ones because they are both really different from the basic, they offer something different.

like ive always said though when textures come they might take inspiration from the ones around for PC but they wont actually be the PC ones, like the skins 4J will have to design their own

He has more videos up with different texture packs. My personal favorite one on PC is dokucraft, which is one of the videos he did as well as sphax. A friend of mine said that the guy making the videos has confirmed to using Jtag. Regardless the videos, I'll end up buying the texture packs anyways. Some times you just want something different.

I've used a ton of texture packs since I found out about them but I'm mostly fond of Soarex and Faithful.

Some of the ones I used weren't updated so are stuck in Beta 1.4 or something from long ago now.

I like dokucraft as well. If I could afford a PC it would be the first one I bought. I want texture packs soon as well. Probably pick them all up.

I think you got mixed up there and meant download instead of bought, I hope so anyway.

Texture packs only work on the tutorial world.

You use a program called wxPirs to extract your minecraft file (game file) data on your pc and then ftp it to your xbox (RGH/JTAG) then in there you can edit the png files, pictures (wall pictures), animals, etc.. or in this case textures.

When you strip down the minecraft file, it only lets you load the tutorial world hence the reason nobody has ever shown they're world with their custom packs because they can't load it

LOL. I agree.

They'll be a fee, MC would want them free but you and I know who doesn't want it for Free. Probably be like the skin packs. 80msp.. so we hope.

The texture packs could cost anywhere between $1 to $2 aka 80 msp to 160 msp. Like the skin packs.

That's a reasonable price range; if 4j implements them, HD and animated texture packs will obviously cost more.

Reading this before watching the video makes the video funny when he repeats the same thing.

HD packs in the sense of what it means on PC shouldnt really exist at all for 360... though i have a feeling they will

i say this because one of the reasons 4j cited for the world size is how it taking too much to render the blocks in the 16x16 format so if 64x64 packs come out that would be completely stupid

I WILL NOT TELL YOU I WILL NOT TELL YOU DO NOT ASK ME.. I'M NOT A BETA TESTER FOR 4J STUDIOS... IM JUST REALLY SMART. LOL.

He has either an RGH or a JTAG.

He has extracted the minecraft data from the arcade game using wxPirs or with Le Fluffie and replaced the textures file with a custom .png file from the pc.

You can't replace the file within the arcade file so he's uploaded the extracted files to the hard drive. When you do that only the tutorial world works hence the reason the title updates DO NOT work.
