Men in Box, Left Arms, Data Store, VR Mission Collectibles Guide

This Guide is now 100% complete. All Left Arms, Data Storage, VRs, Citizens, Men in Boxes & Humanoid Gekkos.

Special thanks to Lumen18 & abitRusty for helping with the ones I missed.

NOTE: You must finish a mission and get to the mission score screen for the achievements to unlock. The Humanoid Gekkos appear to be the exception. They don't save as you get them and they appear every time you play the missions they appear it.

For "Tearing Away The Disguise" you need to play from R02 straight through R07 getting all the Humanoid Gekkos as you go and you'll get it as soon as you take out the Gekko in R07.

R00
2 Data Stores

Data Storage 1 - As you are chasing Sundowner on foot and they want you to Ninja Run you will come to a area with a metal grate covering the entire lower section of a wall. Cut it open and then slide in to find Data Store 1.
Data Storage 2 - On the train. Right after you climb the the 2 large crates and you can see your waypoint CAREFULLY fall off the end towards the waypoint and Data Store 2 is on the ground. If you fall forward too far you will activate the cutscene and the Data Store will be lost.

R01
4 Data Stores
2 Citizens
4 Left Arms
1 Man in Box
4 VR Terminals

Data Storage 3 - Inside the opening house Data Store 3 is on the candelier. Ninja Run to the top floor and then dash over.
Citizen 1 - As you exit the house the citizen will be down and to the right. If they see you coming they shoot the citizen first. I suggest running around to the left and Ninja Kill the enemy with the RPG. Then run back around to flank the two with the citizen. Attack from behind and you should be fine. If he dies, reload checkpoint.
Data Storage 4 - After your first encounter with a Mule Gekko the Data Store is in a Blade Mode box to the left down a small alleyway.
VR Terminal 1 - Right in front of you after you open the next door.
Data Storage 5 - After taking out the mid boss blade open the door and it is on the shelf in this small room.
Citizen 2 - After the first helicopter attack. The secret to this is the EMP Grenade to the left in the box as you enter the area. Grab and equip the grenade. Then launch it at the 2 enemies watching the citizen. Run up and Zandatsu them and then pull back to move the rest of the enemies away from the Citizen.
VR Terminal 2 - This VR terminal is on a ledge directly above where you just grabbed the EMP Grenade from.
Left Arm 1 (23/Stephen) - When you get the to end of this area there is a door. You then back track to where the EMP Grenade is. The secret here is you need to Blade Mode the Left Arm off. Just killing the enemy does NOT produce the arm. Just go crazy is Blade Mode and don't hit B for Zandatsu until you know the Left Arm is off.
VR Terminal 3 - Inside the next destroyed building head to the far right and around the corner to the left is a small room under the stairs. The VR Terminal is here.
Left Arm 2 (24/James) - There is a commander immediately in the next area. Use Augmented vision to see who has the Red Triangle. Again, use Blade Mode to make sure you take off the left arm.
Left Arm 3 (25/Abraham) - Same area in the far back by the door is another commander.
Left Arm 4 (26/Benjamin) - This man in on the upper catwalk. If you set off the alarm he will most likely come down so be sure to use Augmented view to keep track of him.
Data Storage 6 - In the main factory room with all the gun cameras Data Store 6 is on the top catwalk level at the far end opposite the end with a item box.
Men In Box 1 - There are a series of crates around the gun camera column right at the door to leave the area. Drop down into the crates and there is a spotlight shining into a crate. Destroy the cardboard box to find the man.
VR Terminal 4 - As you leave this area go DOWN the spiral stairs to find the VR Terminal.

R02
1 Humanoid Gekko
3 Data Stores
3 Left Arms
1 Man in Box
3 VR Terminals

VR Terminal 5 - In the sewers you will come to a section pretty quickly where they say you can try to sneak around the Mastiffs. On the ground level is a choppable door leading to the VR.
Humanoid Gekko 1 - When you drop down into the sewers after the 2 Mastiffs you need to clear all the Gekkos in the area, then head back to where you dropped down and the Humanoid Gekko will be there.
VR Terminal 6 - When you enter the same room with the 2 generators there is a VR terminal in the corner.
Data Storage 7 - In the very next area stay on the top and follow the pipes to a Blade Mode box with a Data Store.
Men In Box 2 - In the sewer area where Wolf tells you he found the enterance there is a choppable door with the cardboard box inside.
Left Arm 5 (27/William) - After seeing the brains you will get a battle in the last room. One of these is a commander.
Data Storage 8 - AS THE DWARF GEKKO - There is a Data Store on the top of some black crates in the corner.
Data Storage 9 - AS THE DWARF GEKKO - There is a Data Store in a tunnel to the left as you start. You need to Roll through the tunnel to get the Data Store.
Left Arm 6 (28/Franklin) - One of the incapacitated soldiers will be a commander.
Left Arm 7 (29/Thomas) - As you exit the area with the GARD there is a commander around the corner to the left.
VR Terminal 7 - You will enter a small room where the Doktor will talk to you. Turn around and the VR terminal is right in the corner.

R03
4 Data Stores
8 Left Arms
1 Man in Box
1 Citizen
5 VR Terminals
1 Humanoid Gekko

Left Arm 8 (30/Zachary) - One of the first police that attack you right at the start will be a commander.
Left Arm 9 (31/Harry) - After the first street battles when you get to the wide open are there will be another commander to the left.
VR Terminal 8 - Back behind the deviders is a VR terminal. This is to the left as you enter the big area outside where the second commander is.
Data Storage 10 - On the very top of the glass canopy by the goal building.
VR Terminal 9 - Once inside the buidling take the elavators up and it's to the left behind some glass partitions.
Men In Box 3 - After a Mule mech fight in a office you will come to a hall. To the left is the carboard box.
Left Arm 10 (32/Lyndon) - When instead you go right one of the enemies will be a commander.
Left Arm 11 (33/Ulysses) - Once outside on the roofs, one of the first group you encounter will be a commander.
VR Terminal 10 - On this first mail roof there is a middle area with 2 large pipes. Jump over them to find the VR Terminal.
Data Storage 11 - When you jump to the building with the citizen a Slider will drop off a soldier and then fly by you. You need to take it out to get the Data Storage. RPG to the face works good. Miss it and you can reload checkpoint.
Left Arm 12 (34/Richard) & Citizen 3 - When you jump over to the next building it will start a scene with a citizen. One of the enemies is also a commander. EMP the group right at the citizen so he doesn't get shot and then take care of everyone being careful to the get Left Arm of the sole commander.
Data Storage 12 - In the railroad underground once you pass the first set of Mastiffs there will be one more to your left on a railcar. Take care of him and then the Data Storage is at the end of the railcar.
Humanoid Gekko 2 - In the far back right corner is the Humanoid Gekko.
VR Terminal 11 - Once on the final platform with the door, drop off and hug the wall back the way you came and you will quickly run in the VR Terminal.
VR Terminal 12 - As soon as you get to the surface again the Terminal will be in the final room before you head back outside.
Left Arm 13 (35/George) - Back outside the first battle will have a commander.
Left Arm 14 (36/Rutherford) - The next battle the enemy standing at the top of the stairs is a commander.
Left Arm 15 (37/Dwight) - The very next battle the enemy standing on the left platform will be a commander.
Data Storage 13 - Where this battle takes place there is a vending cart to the left at the bottom. Jump from it, to the ledge, to the next curved ledge and the Data Storage is on this curved ledge.

R04
4 Data Stores
8 Left Arms
1 Man in Box
5 VR Terminals
1 Humanoid Gekko

Left Arm 16 (38/Martin) - Commander right away in first battle.
VR Terminal 13 - At the end of the hall up top behind some glass in a display.
Data Storage 14 - At the top of the stairs in the lobby jump to the pillar, then to the 2 TVs, then back to the far pillar. The DA is around the back of the pillar platform.
Left Arm 17 (39/Herbert) - In the retailiation attack after you try to use the elevators.
Left Arm 18 (40/Theodore) - If you take out the first 2 electical panels without getting seen a commander will spawn.
VR Terminal 14 - As you exit the elevators turn left and then an immediately right into the room. It's in the corner to your immediate right.
Left Arm 19 (41/Donald) - To the left of the security station is a commander.
VR Terminal 15 - From the security station head straight towards the electrical panels and it's right in front of you at the end of the hall in a small room.
Left Arm 20 (42/Gerald) - This is the medium cyborg at the pagoda in the first battle.
Left Arm 21 (43/Millard) - The next battle at the inside of the japanese gardens.
Data Storage 15 - At the back of the garden area is a Blade Mode chest below the final catwalk.
Left Arm 22 (44/Warren) - Commander at the freight lift.
[B]Data Storage 16 - You get this if you finish all enemies before switching lifts.
Left Arm 23 (45/David) - Heavy Cyborg commander on the freight lift ride up during the second part.
Men In Box 4 - Once you get to the top Ninja Dash through the small opening at the top of the right crates to a small hall. The cardboard box is around some crates.
VR Terminal 16 - As you exit this area, OR come to the main path, there are 3 large crates. Smash them all and the VR Terminal is behind them.
Data Storage 17 - In the server room you need to go up the stairs and take the right path all the way around to the opposite of the locked door on the left path. There is a Blade Mode chest that has the Data Storage.
VR Terminal 17 - As you are chasing Sundancer there is a VR terminal in the bottom floor on the right.
Humanoid Gekko 3 - At the very end as you come outside it is on the far left platform. Use a rocket launcher to take it out.

R05
1 Humanoid Gekko
3 Left Arms
1 Citizen
1 VR Terminal
1 Data Storage

Left Arm 24 (46/Barack) - As always right in the first fight.
Data Storage 19 - In the long opening area there is a waste basket to the right by the closest tram. Cut it open to get the Data Storage.
Left Arm 25(47/Ronald) - In the fountain area, the main heavy is a commander.
Humanoid Gekko 4 - At the top of stairs cover yourself with a Cardboard Box or Drum. You must NOT be seen by the 2 Sliders or anyone else until you reach the bottom. Then the Humanoid Gekko will be in the circle at the bottom.
Left Arm 26 (48/Chester) & Citizen 4 - As you come to the street there will be the final citizen and a Left Arm commander along with some basic enemies and a GARD. I suggest getting the Left Arm first, then reloading and going for the Citizen. I come up behind the enemy up top and launch a EMP to the citizen. Then pull all the way to the left so the GARD doesn't kill the citizen. This is the fourth and final citizen and the Humanitarian Assistance will unlock as soon as he runs away.
VR Terminal 18 - As you head to the end area the door to the railway will open with a enemy inside. At back door is the VR Terminal.

R06
NOTHING

R07
1 Humanoid Gekko
4 Left Arms
1 Man in Box
2 VR Terminals
2 Data Storage

VR Terminal 19 - Turn around and Ninja Run up the cliff to a higher ledge to get the VR.
Humanoid Gekko 5 - BEFORE engaging enemies follow the top area across the street and the Gekko is back in the rocks.
Left Arm 27 (49/Andrew) - Commander at the enterance gate.
Left Arm 28 (50/Frank) - Commander in main area after entering gate.
Left Arm 29 (51/John) - Heavy commander inside the hanger.
Data Storage 19 - As you enter the facility it's on a ledge to the left. Jump up the crates and over.
VR Terminal 20 - In the hanger to the right. Hug the right wall when you enter.
Data Storage 20 - In the hanger on one of the propellers of the VTOL. Jump from the catwalk to the main body and then up to the propeller.
Left Arm 30 (52/Adam) - Outside and to the left is the final commander.
Men In Box 5 - At the end of this area is a section of crates. Inside is the final MIB. Get it before going to the waypoint.

I have full videos ready to go for launch.

Anyone know where the Data Storage I missed in R03 is? I think it has to be on the roofs somewhere but I can't find it.

The Man in Box in R04 is after the elevator ride. You have to hop on some containers (after the ride, they are immediately next the elevator), then slide through a small fissure in the wall (it's by the top of the higher container) to reach the area where "MIB" is.

VR 16 is also near this part: to exit the secret area where "MIB" is you have to slide through another fissure. Immediately as you land after slide-exiting there are some boxes: smash them to find the VR computer. These boxes can be accessed without passing by the area where MIB is, since they are on the right as you go (to proceed you would go left instead).

Not sure what is the "ID" you are missing.

I think you should add the "humanoid gekkos" to your guide as well, since they are missable collectibles.

"humanoid gekkos" - These are the doubled up gekkos right? Where there are 2 attached to each other?

I almost forgot: the DS you are missing in R03 is obtained if you defeat one of those flying enemies, which is optional. It's just before the civilian: as you jump off the roof where a fight with a helicopter triggers (the helicopter spawns only if you alert the soldiers on the roof) and you start making your way to the civilian, one of these big flying guys will come at you. If you kill him quickly enough he will drop the DS. If he flies away he's lost, but you can restart at the checkpoint just before he arrives and try again.

Thanks. I am missing one more then either at the end of R03 or the start of R04. But I found the one on the pillar at the very start of R04 so I am thinking there is one in the open at the end of R03.

Yea, you've skipped DS 13 which is on a ledge in the open area as you go up the stairs, on the left (it's just about where you probably engage battle with a few soldiers and a "dog" enemy; the ledge is just before the stairs), and the other one you were missing is the one on the pillar in R04 (DS14).

Btw, the one you called "DS14" is in fact DS15.

Still wondering what is the "ID" you are missing

Thanks for this post, very useful. The ID you are missing comes from a guy who shows up during the part you have to hit the electrical panels, if you hit the first 2 without being detected he will arrive.

You mean in R03 where you are going up the stairs at the end of the mission or do you mean the stairs in at the beginning of R04?

About the humanoid Gekkos: Found one in the sewer, misson 03 (mission 02???). Advance a little then come back to the hole you used to get to this part.
Another is right before the battle with Sundowner. When you get to the walkway leading to him, look to your left.
Another is on a desert mission, right in the beginning, before entering a base. I guess itīs mission 07. Go as far as you can to the righ of the map and the Gekko wil appear between some rocks on the edge of the map.

For those wondering, the fifth and last Humanoid Gekko is in R05. When you are about to descend down the stairs there will be two flying enemies coming towards you. If they see you and you engage battle the Humanoid Gekko will disappear. The Humanoid Gekko is found at the bottom of the staircase, pretty much where, in R03, there is the cart that you use to jump up to reach one of the Data Storage. Again, if you engage battle he won't be there.

Also the one in R07 won't be there if you engage battle with the enemies before killing him.

The one in R02 appears only after killing other enemies ahead, so you need to backtrack.

You have to finish a mission, any mission. Run through R07 and it will unlock at the mission scoring screen.

Oh, please friend, share some light on us about getting S on all stages (Revengeance Dif) and which strategy you used to kill the bosses with no hits. I know the secret achievements are for killing the bosses without getting hit.
