Achievement Guide

All Medals
50 All medals attained.
The medals can be obtained by completeing various acts throughout the game. The medals are devided between Service Medals and Operation Medals. You have to get all medals on both sheets in order to unlock this achievement. Please refer to this thread for medal descriptions and how to get them.

All Aircraft
30 Attain purchasing ability for all aircraft.
You will unlock this as you progress through the game. The only aircraft you will not be able to unlock after beating the game on normal is the CFA-44, this requires you to beat the game on hard difficulty.

Clear Campaign
20 Clear Campaign Mode.
Finish the game.

10 Operations
10 Complete 10 operations.
Finish 10 operations, not missions. You should get this achievement by the 7th mission, though it can take longer. The mission has to be "successful" in order for it to be considered cleared.

All Operations
30 Clear all operations.
Finish all the operations. There are 35 different operations that you can get medals for in this game. You will get this on your second run through if you check to see which ones you need first.

10 Frontline Landings
10 Complete 10 total frontline landings.
A frontline landing is landing on an airport that is on the battlefield. On the lower left of your screen, next to your radar map, if you are near a liberated airport, you will see a "landing gear" animation show up. You need to drop your landing gear and be guided into the runway. If you are going to fast the control tower will tell you, you are on your own.
You can land, takeoff, turn around, and then land again. You do have to have a mission successful to get this achievement though

Aerial Defense
10 Destroy 50 enemies using airborne allied support.
See "Ground Defense"

Ground Defense
10 Destroy 50 enemies using ground force allied support.
When you are in battle and your allied support guage has at least 1 block filled, you can push and hold up(attack) or down(cover) on your d-pad. Every enemy that the allies kill counts toward this goal.

Electronic Support System
10 Destroy 100 enemies while receiving electronic support.
You will get credit for this when, on the bottom right of the screen, your "E.S.S" shows a level. As long as that is showing a level and you get a kill it works toward your goal. You should get this fairly early on.

10 Named Aircraft
30 Destroy 10 Named Aircraft.
A "named aircraft" is one in which after the name of the aircraft it has his callsign. These only show up in Expert mode. They are found here.

1000 Enemies
30 Destroy a total of 1000 enemies.
You will get this by playing the game. All units count as long as you are the one that killed them.

All Colors
10 Attain purchasing ability for all aircraft special colors.
When you beat the game on normal you unlock the Estovakian color set. The 3rd set is aquired by shooting down the named aircraft in Expert. You unlock 1 paint scheme for every plane you shoot down.

To get the second color for the cfa-44 you have to buy every plane and every color of each plane, then play and finish a mission.
To unlock the third color scheme for the CFA-44, have all "S" ranks in all missions from the Easy through Ace difficulty settings, earn all Operation Medals, have at least 15 Service Medals, have all Enemy Records, and have all Friend Records.

Original Aircraft
10 Attain purchasing ability for original aircraft.
You will unlock this as you progress through the game. The only aircraft you will not be able to unlock after beating the game on normal is the CFA-44, this requires you to beat the game on hard difficulty.

Allied Assault Record
20 Attain complete Emmerian assault record.
Just complete all the operations. As you finish all the operations a certain "ally" is in you will unlock his record. The only way to get the final Emmerian assault record position is to finish the Estovakian assault record. So you will get these two simultaneously.

Enemy Assault Record
20 Attain complete Estovakian assault record.
Strigon 1-12 are in the campaign mode under any difficulty.
The named enemies will appear 1 per level on expert mode or higher.
They are found here.

Mission 1
10 Successfully retreat from the fallen capital Gracemeria.
Play the game and beat the first level

Mission 2
10 Prevent the aerial bombardment of Vitoze.
Play the game and beat the second level

Mission 3
10 Attain victory at Sipli Field.
Play the game and beat the third level

Online Kills (50)
20 Shoot down 50 total other player aircraft online.
You will get this eventually, just keep shooting down other players online, ranked and player matches count toward your online kill total.

Online Kills (100)
30 Shoot down 100 total other player aircraft online.
You will get this eventually, just keep shooting down other players online, ranked and player matches count toward your online kill total.

Online Kills (200)
50 Shoot down 200 total other player aircraft online.

Secret Achievements

Mission 15
20 The Chandelier destroyed, and the war brought to a close.
Play the game and beat the fifteenth level

Mission 14
10 Capital successfully defended from enemy cruise missile attack.
Play the game and beat the fourteenth level

Mission 13
20 Capital recaptured and liberated.
Play the game and beat the thirteenth level

Mission 12
10 Weapons of mass destruction destroyed in transport.
Play the game and beat the twelfth level

Pasternak Defeated
20 Enemy Strigon squadron leader Ilya Pasternak defeated.
Pasternak is a pain. The second you lose sight of him, he goes stealth and you have to find him all over again because you automatically lock onto a UAV that is aiding him. Once he gets killed though, the mission ends.
NOTE: everytime pasternak uses his ESM he has to slow down, and cannot go stealth. Try to just follow him, until he uses his ESM then machine gun him and missle him.
If you are playing Expert difficulty try to stay as close to the ground as possible since the radar advantage is lost for the enemy. When you get a chance get close to him and send allied assault, shoot a couple missles and bail. Rinse and Repeat.

I wanna expand on a few things, if you don't mind. You may incorporate any of it into the guide if you wish.

"All Aircraft
30 Attain purchasing ability for all aircraft.
You get purchasing ability for the specific aircraft by shooting down the specific type of plane."

You also need to beat the game on Hard to unlock the CFA-44.

"All Colors
10 Attain purchasing ability for all aircraft special colors.
When you beat the game on normal you unlock the Estovakian color set. There is one more color set for each plane, possibly beating the game on Expert or hard."

The 3rd set is aquired by shooting down the named aircraft in Expert. You unlock 1 paint scheme for every plane you shoot down.

"Enemy Assault Record
20 Attain complete Estovakian assault record.
Shoot down each named pilot representing the plane/helecopter in the assualt record."

#1 through 12 are Strigon. Here are the missions you can find them
Gracemeria
#1*

Bartolomeo Fortress
#2

Silvat
#3

Heavy Command Cruiser
#4, #5

Moloch Desert
#6, #7

Liberation of Gracemeria
#8

Chandelier
#9, #10, #11, #12*

*I'm not 100% on 1 and 12, but I got them on my first completion of the campaign, so I don't believe it's difficult to get them

#13 through #27 are the named pilots in Expert mode. There is one in every mission.

thanks a lot, makeing the update now. Also as far as Strigon, I know I didn't get #1 until much later in the game, though i dont entirely remember when, i believe it may have been mission 9, but again I cant remember. All i do remember is I had at least 2-7 before I got 1.

Can anyone confirm that you need to shoot them down, or can your allies shoot them down and you get credit? I ask this since the mission where you are not allowed to retreat, you disobey the order to, I had 97% dammage at that instant so I couldn't repair. I didn't take a shot since after almost 1 hour of getting killed since i couldn't even take a machine gun round, I just started to spin in a circle under the EMS, until there was 1 left then i killed him. When the mission ended I got credit for all the Strigon on that level.... can anyone confirm?

I just finished mission 1 on expert. When Pagas showed up I directed my wingman to shoot at him. I did hit Pagas once; however the final blow came from my wingman, and this did count on my assault record, so I can only assume it is counting toward my "kill 10 named aircraft" achievement.

I can confirm this. My wingman took out the Ace in level #13 without me hitting him once.

One more thing I've just found out. I first heard this as a rumor, and I just confirmed it. You must complete the Enemy Assault Record to unlock the final entry in the Allied Record.

I did know this, just didn't have time to update it on the guide. Thanks for the reminder, made the change now.

For the online Achievements me and my friends have only been doing player matches and I have unlocked the 50 player kills and the battle royale achievement, Although for some reason I am sure I have won at least 10 team battle modes but it has not unlocked. It makes me think that the achievment is to win and be the one with the most points on your team 10 times.

Just 20 min ago I finally got the 10 team battles in a player match that I had hosted. Really it seems like I had won a lot more than 10 team battles but still I was able to get it in a player match.

The whole online achievements thing is wierd. I know Ive won 10 or more team battle games in ranked matches and no achievement. I also know I should have 100 kills at least by now but I havent gotten that either. Not sure how this whole system works.

You unlock all the hidden content by beating the game on different difficulties. Most are unlocked by beating the game on normal, however there are a few that require you to beat the game on expert.

This is incorrect. I have beaten Expert, and it has not unlocked. I have heard from a few people that it unlocks when you complete Ace with S rankings on all mission. Hopefully, I will have done this by the end of the day and can confirm it.

Well, it seems that doesn't do it either. Seems quite a few people have done everything possible. Unless someone out there wants to speak up and say how they unlocked it, my guess is it's going to be downloadable. If that is the case, then Ace of Aces is not part of the secrets achievement since there are people who have it.

Like I said, I'd love to see someone prove me wrong, I haven't found anyone out there who knows how its unlocked.

Now back to the colors again... killing all the named planes doesn't do it, since the CFA-44 has 2 more paintjobs. I have unlocked the 2nd, as have many people, but no one I've seen has had a difinitive answer to how it's done. It seems incredibly likely, that it unlocks once you complete your first mission after you buy every plane and every paintjob. As for the 3rd one, I have no idea, as does everyone I've seen talking about this. I wish someone who's gotten it would speak up, since I know they exist.

I love the Ace Combat series to death, but these achievements and unlockables are driving me nuts, just by the fact that no one in the AC community seems to know anything for sure about them. pArt of me wonders if I'm just not looking in the right places...

urAssass1n, If I find any new info, I'll let you know. I really hope we can round out the edges so everyone has a difinitive guide.

Well this just means it is time for me to start the grind. Well here is to unlocking how to get the aces of aces mode..... (they should have the same gif but unlocked eheh)

EDIT: I just read something interesting. It is just rumor, however one person noted the development team stated that there was going to possibly be a DLC difficulty level. If this is the case then it doesn't matter what this difficulty is because it is either unlockable now meaning 1000/1000 or its DLC.

EDIT2: Moving the continuation of this discussion to the achievement discussion thread, so we don't overload this one.

Any difficulty but easy. I got them on normal, and the final one on expert.

If I remember correctly, it's an F-14 that takes off from the carrier inside the bay. I don't remember which operation it is, but it's the one where you take out the fleet. Just do that one, and he should appear above the carrier in the bay during the operation.

If i remember correctly, I had to do this mission 2wice before I got the pilot to show up. When i did it the second time I made sure to do all the operations required, except one. I.E. if 3 are needed I only completed 2. Then went to operation D and Searched for him. I had to clear the first part of operation D and then blow up the carrier.... then when i turned around he was already about 15000 feet in the air, I was skimming the water.

Hope that way can get him for ya.

That is perfectly fine, it's the point of the forum. I personnaly don't like strategy guides, but that shouldn't mean other people can't use them. The best part is, those of you who do get them, can then help all of us put together the best most complete achievement guide for everyone else. Feel free to post here or PM me with your updates, and I'll change the guide accordingly.

well sorry it took a while to repost, i've been out of town. Anyway back to what people came here for. The Assault records of Strigon 1 and 12, are unlocked after completing the campaign the first time. The assault records for you allies are unlocked after completing EVERY opperration that that unit participated in. there are a few that only in one or two, but most you won't unlock until your second run through. OR you can use the free mission fuction and replay some missions with different opps. also, some of the named planes only show up under specific circumstances, basically shoot down every non-target you can and you should get them to show up eventually.

actually i went through once on normal and i only had about 5, but on expert, im on mission 13 and i still need 2 more, if someone could explain that better i have all of the ally except the last that i need the enemy for. also i'm having difficulty with mission 13 on expert, i managed to get to the last fight with an F2A and i keep getting shot down, but when i use my best(F15E) i can't beat the operations, could i get a suggestion on the best plane?
