These videos must be for the PC version, some of the levels are different on the 360.

InIndeed. I was coming in to post the same thing. These are very similiar though with barely any differences. If you follow them you should still be able to get golds.

That's only true for the first two worlds, though. After that, the changes get bigger and bigger and the bastards who made the game even intentionally closed off quite a lot of the shortcuts used in the vids.

In world 4 you still need to figure out a lot of shortcuts yourself even if the vids do help on occasion. In world 5, the vids pretty much don't help at all.

I've been noticing that as well. I'll have to change the later levels and keep on the lookout for 360 version speedruns. Thanks!

The last level is now a true pain in the ass, since the devs blocked the shortcut. I officially declare my hate toward it. :P
I think I have tried the last "guide ball" segment for over a hour before I gave up.

i noticed the 360 version marbles and powerballs arent as strong as the pc ones, making the whole game harder, and those last two worlds are a pain in the ass, id love to see someone beat at least one of them without any mistakes

That's because ALL of his videos are from the PC version and the 360 version had all of the exploits he uses removed.

Just needed to stick in replacement videos for some of the ones above that are dead. Need this thread updated because I'm making a switchball roadmap. If a mod comes across this it would be appreciated if you could fix the original post and delete mine, thanks.

Is it still worth making a video guide for the XBLA version? I only have a video camera as opposed to a capture card, but the quality is still bearable. I know that some of the later levels in the XBLA version are very different to the PC version, so let me know if any of you would like a video guide of the whole game.

Thanks

I would definitely be interested in the XBLA version. There's a couple levels that I have found impossible on XBLA because there is a railing that wasnt there on PC, therefore the speed run doesnt help me.

I would love to see some guides for the xbox 360 levels, especially 2.1, I always seem to be a few seconds off, and that always seems to be a perfect run when I do it, so I must be missing something somehwere.

As a lot of the levels are different later on, especially the beginning of 2.1, for example, on the 360 version from the PC version, my view is that the 360 speedruns are a necessity. If anyone has the 200/200 for this, they should really help the people on this site.

And yes, I have the game, I'm at 150/200, I'm stuck on the 24 silver medals and the 24 gold medals. Yes, I know. I suck.

Alritey, I have started filming a shortcut guide. Better late than never, eh? I will post them all on Youtube when I have completed them, however it may take me a few weeks to do this as I work a lot and won't be able to film very often. That and it may take me a while to get some of the levels done right :P

Anywho, that is Sky world, Ice world and Cave world all completed. I know the last two worlds would have probably been the most useful, I apologise for not doing these. They are just too difficult to complete successfully displaying the quickest way. I do not have enough free time anymore to film these levels, again I apologise and hope that the videos supplied helped even a little.

A huge thank you to Also Owns A Wii. Your guides are great! Any chance you will make videos for the last two worlds? They would be much appreciated.
