Eternal Sonata Sequel?

Was thinking, could become an interesting sequel/franchise.

Perhaps not all on Chopin, maybe telling stories of other famous pianists/artists.

Agree, disagree, ham and cheese sandwich?

I think the whole mechanics of it could work with someone else, but having a whole series of games about dead old musicians would become slightly tedious after a while. If they took everything except the story, names and locations and put it with a whole new concept then it would be quite a good game. But I don't think Eternal Sonata 2: Beethoven Massacre would be such a big seller.

Well, I just finished watching the ending, and I for one would love to see a sequel. It would be nice to see this turn into a series of sorts, almost like final fantasy, although I know that wouldn't happen >_> ..I liked how they took the life of chopin and related the storyline in the game to events that occured within his life, it kind of got me interested in it..and I'd like to see more like it. Take a story that many would find boring and relate it to something that most would enjoy, good plan. I'd like to see a sequel relating to beethoven, mozart, or Tchaikovsky <-- less known I think..he wrote the nutcracker though <_<

Anyhoo, yeah they definitely need a sequel..hopefully one that doesn't require you to play through the game twice D;..rpgs are far to long for that..to many games, to little time ya know?

I haven't actually gotten to play the game yet, but the concept seems awesome to me and could definitely see it being a series of unconnected adventures ala Final Fantasy with each game centering on a different historical figure. I could definitely see a great game applying the concept to a great painter or even something more esoteric like a legendary marionette maker.

hope this thread helps

That would be great! I love music / artsy games so I really like this one. Not many RPG games on Xbox 360 so I'll take any rpg's Microsoft is realiesing on thier system.

It would be great if this thread got more posts and that it got so big people started talking and word got out that the fans of Eternal Sonata will
support an Eternal Sonata FRANCHISE!!!

Good Concept guys who ever thought of it first...

While Sonata was unique and fun I just don't seeing it having the selling power or longevity to spark a franchise. I do hope that it has enough success to spark other interesting quirky rpgs.

keep in mind, the PS3 version is coming out (eventually), that might spark more interest. I really see an opportunity here for a franchise, and dare I say it, similar to the FF series. All unrelated (with exception of magic, GF/aeons/whatever theyre being called these days, and cid...gotta love cid), would be interesting to continue with a musician theme.

I'm still rooting for a Beethoven sequel!!

Your totally right! Just the idea of a possibility gets me excited.

I, for one, would love a sequel/series made out of this game. Music, art, dance - anything in the fine arts would be cool. Actually, Okami for the PS2 has fabulous art - brushstrokes as weapons - ya! interesting to think about.

I would like to see a sequel based on the published works of Edgar Allen Poe, or artist Peter Max based on his paintings from the 1960's.

A sequel wouldn't be that bad, but they need to change some things like the story. But if there ever was to be a sequel, I would buy it

I liked Eternal Sonata quite a lot but I don't really see it as a franchise in the making.

If they made more games in the same vein I would love it though. I really hope that the Xbox One will see more jrpg releases than the 360 did. It started out pretty good but then it all just died.
