Skill usage advice

After my first college winterhold quest and facing that Draugr Lord before the final boss fight that I have levelled to fast lvl 18 after spending that just running round casting conjuration and using shouts ... Had a plan on the main and secondary skills:

Main: 1H .... Archery .... Destruction ... Illusion ... Sneak ... Lockpicking

Secondary: Alteration ... Light Armour ... Conjuration .... Pick pocket

Only spending perks on 1h .... Lower level arch ... Sneak ... Al Mage but restore

Then later game heavy armour just coz I like the look of some gaunlets ... Smith ... Alch ... Enchant ... Restore ..

Smith early game to upgrade armour and weapons to fine .... But I've been using all skills thinking that was a good idea but seem to lvl up to fast ... How do/did others play ... Should I just work on my main skills with abit of my secondary mixed in when need them ... Then later game work on the other skills I want to work on so saving enchanted weapons/armour that i dont need and soul gems up
