Hey there everyone!
I would have posted this in the bioshock 1 forums but I feel I wouldn't get an answer as I doubt anyone would look at the forum there much.
I'm at the stage in the game, where *spoiler* I become a big daddy. I haven't gone any further cos I sort of ran through the game a little.
Can I backtrack and do the following? (these achievements are left) ps. I used a guide for most things so I'm only a couple of things off from most achieves.
Things I still need to do:
Go to sander cohens place, then kill him and take the photo.
Fully upgrade 4, 5 and all weapons
Max all tracks
Collect all Tonics (i believe i'll get my last one from saving the last little sister)
Find 2 more audio diaries
Fully research the Rosie
So the question is, now that I've become the big daddy, can I back track and do these things?
When it comes to saving the game, I always create a new slot, so I have easily 20+ so if I can't, i'll have to revisit a previous save
Thanks in advance guys!
ps, I'm about to go to work, so I'd check my self how far I can go, but this'll save me time when I get home. Cheers!

Well, I know you posted this a few months ago but I figured seeing as no one else bothered to respond and I expect on the odd occasion someone might stumble upon this very question while searching for the same on Google, I might as well answer it.
And the answer is yes, you can back track even though you're now a Big Daddy. I did it myself way back when.

Yeah, as long as you don't take the elevator up to fight Atlas you can still go back and explore any part of the map (as long as it isn't from the first chapter).
