Team Fortress 2 - I can only pick Heavy!?

I started playing TF2 tonight to work towards my 1000 kills and I could only be Heavy, no other class, and most people in the game could also only be Heavies. Then I tried to start up a private match to boost but we couldn't select any class but Heavy. I noticed this problem as of today, never happened before. Anyone know what's going on?

The host can restrict classes and the number of people that can play each class. Check in the options screen and you should be able to change it if I recall correctly, it's been forever since I've played the Xbox version of this game.

I have never seen that before. It must default to whatever the options of the last game played were, that's why I could only be Heavy in the game I hosted. Stupid system but hopefully setting the Options beforehand every time fixes this. Thanks!
