Dawnguard or Dragonborn?

I'd assume this would have been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread on it.

I'm not currently able to get both DLCs, so I need to choose one. Dragonborn seems to be a bigger expansion and more for my money. From what I've picked up though, Dragonborn would only really give me a story for one character with misc quests for others thrown in. Dawnguard on the other hand, would give me stories for two different characters and misc quests for others. Is Dragonborn big enough that it doesn't matter if the main quests only for one person, or should I go for the two stories with Dawnguard?

(I roleplay in the game if that makes any difference.)

They're both great DLCs that you should get at one point, but honestly I would go with Dawnguard first. Sole reason is because of the companion you get, best one in the game, IMO.

I'll definitely be getting both eventually. I don't really use companions, though. Or is this one really that awesome?

I would go with Dawnguard first as well. If you have a high level character (LVL 81), you get the legendary dragons to fight, plus skill trees for werewolves and vampires, and the quest line is cool, with 2 different paths to choose. DragonBorn has a ton of content as well, but the main quest is short, but the amount of side quests more than makes up for it. The shouts you get in DragonBorn are great as well. Both are worth the money, but of you have to choose one, I'd go with Dawnguard.

I liked Dragonborn better, but I would still play Dawnguard first for all the reasons already mentioned. Except for the companion. I hate using companions.

You should get a Legendary Edition instead saves money because it's around $30 - $40 you get all the DLC's to the game.. try looking on ebay or amazon.

Seriously that's what I'm doing.

That probably would have been the smarter choice had I not bought any DLCs yet. I'm just missing Dragonborn now.

Both DLC are a must have, but to choose I would go with Dawnguard. Being a bow and arrow person and getting the crossbow makes it great. Plus being able to become a vampire Lord tops it off.

Definitely Dragonborn, though I though Dawnguard was pretty good too, and it gives you the best companion in the game, Serana (spelling).

I would definitely go with Dragonborn first. Both are fun, but there's much more to do with the Dragonborn DLC
