The Final Fantasy franchise in general does a great job for soundtracks but my favorite has got to be Final Fantasy IX because it has the most fitting soundtrack for the story, world and even design. The music fits so well it doesn't even need the dialogue to make you understand what is going on. Halo:CE and Halo 2 are my next go to games for an amazing soundtrack.

Bayonetta has a stellar soundtrack. So many genres yet they are all good.

Mass effect 2
Red dead redemption
Forza Horzion
And halo are also amazing too

I've always liked Grand Theft Auto soundtracks. Vice City's wasn't all that great but I loved VCPR on it. The talk show. Don't know if anyone remembers the one I'm talking about though. It was hilarious.

And Bungie posted on their website this morning that Marty O'Donnell no longer works at Bungie. Marty says fired without cause, and Bungie says left the company. Such a shame. He has made some fantastic soundtracks.

Indeed. Wonder what happened to cause this? Anyway, he won't be out of work long. Some company will quickly pick him up. Hopefully 343. Then he and Davidge can work together on future Halo soundtracks.

I've been wondering what the reasoning behind it was. Still don't know.

It would be awesome if 343i picked him up again. Without him, it feels like a huge portion of Halo is missing. He basically made the soundtrack which made a huge part of the game.

I guess it's just because I get "those feels" every time I hear the soundtracks.

Obviously Savant: Ascent. If I had a decent subwoofer I'd never stop playing it. Although my pants would get tight.

I always liked the elder scrolls games soundtracks. I know they're all the same, but a little different at the same time, but they are awesome. I used to listen to the Skyrim soundtrack(especially the rock version) while playing Skyrim.

Might be a music game, but my far the best selection of songs.

GH3: Warriors of Rock.

Non music game, the original Tony Hawks PS.

The Mass Effect games always have great music. And Minecraft's good for some relaxing stuff.

But if music games can be included, then games like Lego Rock Band worm their way in!

Bioshock
Dragon age: Origins
Mass Effect

All 3 soundtracks fit in perfectly with each game. With bioshock the soundtrack was the perfect compliment to the gloomy atmosphere, it did not over power you, did not feel under used, with dragon age it really made it feel like an old school dungeons and dragons kind of game, no over use of fantasy like themes like in films such as lord of the rings, and with mass effect it really tied the game together.

The original Halo theme! Some tunes from FF VII. The music from Metal Gear Solid series, especially the theme written by Harry Gregson-Williams. Just plain awesomeness! Recently I played Child of Light and the soundtrack is just one piece of classical music art!
