Viking Achievement Guide

Viking Conqueror Normal (30 points)
Reach the end of the game on normal difficulty

See ‘Viking Conqueror Hard’

Viking Conqueror Hard (60 points)
Reach the end of the game on hard difficulty

Start the game on your first play through on hard. The game is easy even on hard. There are a total of three islands that you must ‘liberate’. Once you defeat the last boss and finish the game this and normal will unlock.

Niflberg Supplies Freed (20 points)
Liberate the farm and the quarry in Niflberg

Just kill all the Legion in the farm and quarry and talk to the leaders of each. After the farm he will ask you to go take care of the lost cargo. After the quarry he will ask you to ambush the Legion. Go onto your map and press on the ambush. Take out the Legion and get this achievement.

Dragon Summoner (15 points)
Find and charge the dragon gem Hugin and dragon amulet, and summon a dragon

Just grab the gem and then sneak into the Legion camp and power up the gem. Now take it back to the ruins and power it up there. Achievement unlocked.

Skullbagger 1 (15 points)
Collect the 6 skulls in Darkwater

This skull list is made by Ageha:

1. Enter Darkwater by jumping over the fence on the right side.
Turn left and you find the first skull.

2. Now run back where you jumped in and run right.
Jump down a few steps. On the right side is a Legion. Stealth kill him.
Then cross the street. Wait until the guards have their backs to you. Follow the way left up and you find the second skull guarded by some Legions. Just make a suicide run.

3. Cross the street again but run right now. Stealth kill two Legion and run around the hut.
You see the third skull by the well.

4. Now turn around and jump over the red fence. There is a Legion group patrolling so time your jump.
The skull is hidden behind the crates to your right.

5. Follow the way and turn right as you see on the pictures.
Kill the Legion and get the skull on the right side hidden behind crates.

6. From number 5 go up the elevated walkway and follow it until you are almost at the red portal. Ignore the archers as your run until you see the crate which leads to the portal. The skull is lying by some barrels. Also here are many Legions guarding the skull. You might want to jump up to the red portal to power up the amulet first and then make a suicide run for the skull.

Savior of Niflberg Normal (25 points)
Liberate Niflberg completely on the normal difficulty level

To get this achievement you must save every camp, save the farm, save the quarry. Once everything on your map is blue and not red go to the final battle. After the boss battle this achievement unlocks.

Savior of Niflberg Hard (35 points)
Liberate Niflberg completely on the hard difficulty level

See ‘Savior of Niflberg Normal’

Galcliff Supplies Freed (20 points)
Liberate the farm, still, lumber mill, and the quarry in Galcliff

This is story related and must be done to move on. Do the usual: clear out the Legion, then talk to the leader. After each below the leader asks you to do the following:
Still: Go into the ruins and find the lost flame pot recipe
Mill: Retrieve the grinding stones
Quarry: Free the workers in the cave
Farm: Ask for archer support.

You must sneak into the Legion camp in Caldberg and take the other half of the gem. Then go to the dragon stone and summon the dragon. If you follow the skull list you can get the skulls and sneak past most of the enemies to get to the dragon gem.

Skullbagger 2 (15 points)
Collect the 6 skulls in Holdenfort and the 6 skulls in Caldberg

This skull list is made by Ageha:

Part 1: Holdenfort

1. Enter the fort on the left side by jumping over the fence. Run a bit forward and you can see it.

2. Now go back out and run to the right entrance. Run down the docks as you can see on the pictures.

3. Continue down the docks and cross the stream by jumping on the floodgate.
Follow the way on the other side. The skull is on the left side behind crates.

4. From skull 3 go back and follow the way up the ramp. Follow the way on the pictures.
Jump up the crate and you see the skull down by the house.

5. Now go back and up the big stairs. It’s behind the fence on the right side.

6. Now go back where you found skull 4 and continue the way up.
You can cross the bridge here to avoid fighting Legions.
Do a few jumps to come across the bridge.
First hang down by pressing B. Then look in the direction you want to jump and press Y.
Follow the way on the others side and you can see the last skull.

Part 2: Caldberg

1. When you enter the fort on the right side by climbing up you can already see a skull in the background.

2. Now go back up where you climbed in and run left. Run along the left wall to avoid to be seen from the Legions down on the right. On the far end climb down the net and get the skull by the hut.

3. Now back up the net and down the wooden construction. After the first ladder turn left, down again and to the passageway. Now down a net to the walkway. Turn right and the skull is behind a crate.

Quarry: Get the honey from Im, the honeykeeper

Skulls are not my pictures (read credit above).

Thank you though, I thought adding the actual pictures instead of a link would help more.

When you clear the Quarry on the second island, you're given a mission to go to some Ruins next to the camp. Return with the recipe found in the Ruins and give it to him and he will give you Flame Pots. In turn, you will then be able to buy then for 80 gold each.

Its not the Quarry you need to clear its the Distillery. Which is south of your starting base on the 2nd Island.

A great source I used was the guide on gamefaqs. He explains really good routes to use in a lot of detail, versus figuring out through pics. I didn't use this guide at all and was going to write one myself, but it must have just been submitted. I do want to point out some things on the immortal achievement. After being hurt, run back to where you started the battle, at the very start. You will regain health if back far enough! Then continue on. The part down the long hallway, you must take it very slow. The best bet is to knock everyone off a cliff if you can. The boss is really easy, but the fire poles are quite difficult and might get frusterating. You can die as many times as you want at this point.

anyways for great explanation, go to the gamefaqs for the guide. it will run you through the whole game if you need any help as well.

We have everything we need here. No need to go to other sites.

Deadly Axe Juggler (15 points)
Kill 5 Legion just using Throwing axes

Buy axes from the shop and hold down . Over a Legion’s head an will show. Press it and an axe will be thrown. It should kill the Legion. Do this five times.

For this achievement I found it easiest to get by facing the Legion at one of the entrances to the big base (did it on darkwater). Just walked forward holding RB and when close enough and prompted started flinging axes at them. As there was so many people huddled together if it missed the intended target there was always someone behind for it to take out. Took about 10 secs to complete. I know it's not the hardest of achievements.

Going to try tonight to see if the same can be done with the flame pots at an entrance to Holdenfort

Took me 15 hours. Missed Skullbagger 1 took me like an hour to get that afterwards.

I wish I had this guide my firsst playthrough, it would've helped alot. Sucks that I had to go through a second time just for hard mode achievements. Just got 1000/1000. I'm happy.

i wish i had used this guide when looking for those skulls, it took me forever without actual visual locations of where they were
i also had trouble beating hel at the end of the game, but only on normal, it was actually easier for me to beat her on hard (don't ask me why, cause i have no idea myself)
