ET for Atari 2600 having easy achievements.

Would you rent or buy the worst video game ever made ET just to unlock easy achievements if it had any?

Yes but I'm just talking about this game and not LJN games.

If the gameplay looked decent enough I'd play it; regardless of how difficult the achievements are. I'm a fan of the movie, but I don't see myself playing a game of it.

You must not know your gaming history... =P

And, in answer to the topic, GOD. NO. I mean, I already don't play bad games just for easy achievements, but E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is just too much. If it was the last video game on Earth, I'd go and start a new hobby called poop-trolling. I won't go into details, but it'd still be better. =D

I do. Are you referring to SAW? I'm a fan of the movies and the gameplay looked decent enough so I gave it a try. Sure, the combat system is a bit horrid and some of the puzzles are very tedious but overall it's a good game.

He was referring to the E.T. game in question, not SAW. The E.T. game was one of the most horrible games ever made. Hell, the game was even buried, literally, because of how bad it was.

Oh, I see. I thought the OP's random question was about E.T. in general. I'd no idea there was a game based on it.

What I want to know is...how did "SAW" come up in this thread? o_o E.T. =fdaskflddlsjfldkjf/djflksdajfldkjsdlfj= SAW...basically, one movie (that's a series) is about people getting killed in complicated contraptions while the other is about a goofy looking alien with a glowing chest and finger.

;>__> It just seems random that SAW was thought about here...not trying to insult anyone.

The problem is the game was so bad that you probably couldn't even earn the achievements. If the gameplay is so broken that you can't even play the game to completion then even if on paper the game had easy achievements, I wouldn't play it.

If the gameplay was revamped to where you could easily play through the game, even if the game was boring, then yes I would rent it or buy it cheaply to just get the quick 1000GS.

I think your comment understimates the game, you should mention 'Lorry loads of cartidges were crushed and buried in New Mexico'
