A few things.

1) Bit too many hammer ons/pull offs. They're fun but I swear on Expert every song is full of them, bit more variety would have been better.

2) Achievement for buying all guitars is ridicoulous, you shouldn't have to keep playing through career on lower difficulties/creting a new band if you can 5 star every song on Expert, sheesh.

3) I'm slightly annoyed about the Train Kept a Rollin achievement. This game is a rather easy so for them to put 1 achievement in that's rather hard is a kick in the teeth. I want 1000 but don't think I can get that much on that song, annoying.

Too short, too easy. I finished the game pretty fast to be honest.

Not sure if I should trade it in or keep it as a collection sort of thing.

I hate that there isn't a Co-Op Career because I can't keep track of what songs I have played as lead and bass. I thought I finished all bass yday to come to find out there is 1 or 2 songs I must not of played as the bassist and now I need to go back and play them all again .

1.) Hmm, the game itself..
2.) Aerosmith isn't the greatest of bands.. not nearly good enough to have their own guitar hero.
3.) it was too short
4.) Damn Train Kept A Rollin'...

Too easy - I'm not that good at GH compared with the masters out there but to finish Expert on one play through with 70% 5* ??? I mean c'mon

Songs - seriously, Aerosmith have better songs than half the crap on here. Really the only decent song in the whole game is Sex Type Thing. I'm glad it was short. The songs were painful.

Music Score - Surley some of these h-o and p-o patterns were just random. Either Joe Perry is a rubbish guitarist or they got lazy in the programming.

Overall rating 4/10. Good to have new GH stuff to do on a large scale, great concept, vids of the band were good, but poorly executed. Could have been so much more. Could have been GH: Iron Maiden or Metallica (but only old stuff)!! :-)

Happy Ronin NZ's Gamercard
Three things
1. My biggest complaint and it is the same as for GHIII is the awful leaderboards. Why do they rank it by friends online and then alpahbetical? 95% of my friends have never played this game so I have to scroll through 6-7 pages to find my friends who HAVE played this game. It should be ranked by highest score so my friends that have played this game are on the first page. That is really lazy programming.

2. The achievements have gone from nearly impossible in GH3 to near Avatar standards. Having 5 star Expert, Hard etc achievements kept you striving for better scores. They could have still stacked it so if you 5 starred Expert you got the lower level achievements. The only achievements I hated in GH3 were 5 star coop med, hard, and expert achievements in local play cause no one else in my family can play past easy. The rest didn't bother me.

3 Online coop campaign is probably the biggest improvement needed in this franchise and although they tried to implement it in GH:A it is still broken/glitchy. It should record your scores achieved in an online coop and it should show whether you were guitarist or bassist. Some games do a great job at helping you track your progress towards achievements such as GRAW2 or Orange Box. Since this data has to be tracked it should be a simple piece of programming to display it.

The fact that it should be a spin off or DLC for GH III on the Marketplace. That's the main thing. Plus the price.

Price point definetly. I'm glad I got a used copy of the game that was $44.99 at Gamestop. Glad to pay it that price, along with discount card.

Very very expensive. Not enough value for money. I completed it really quickly with no trouble on hard. GH3 took me ages to complete on hard. It feels like a shell of a guitar hero.

Hmm...where do I start on the reason for my hatred for this game.
1. Price: $60 for this?
2. Songs: Too short of a list, and still missing some alot of Aerosmith hits. Not that I care, but didn't they say that "I Don't Want to Miss A Thing" would be in the game? And whats with having the robot on the cover of the Just Push Play album on the start menu if it doesn't have any songs on it.
3. The "Bonus" Songs: Joe Perry's band? The other version of Walk This Way (when the Run DMC version is on the main setlist)? Come on couldn't they have added a few more songs from bands that have played with or have been inspired by Aerosmith for bonus content? (and no, I am not considering Joe Perry's band to be either of those)
4. The Characters: Ok, so nothing bad about the characters, but when I choose DMC as my character, it doesn't seem right to have him playing guitar on one side of the stage and singing on the other when I play Kings of Rock.
5. Lack of Other Instruments: Ok, so Guitar Hero IV doesn't come out for another few months, but still, they could have just gone ahead and made it to where you CAN use the drums and mic when you get it. Could have helped out sells for both if people could actually use all of the instruments for two games when it comes out.
6. The Price: Ok, I mention this first, but I just wanted to make it clear that it is bullsh*t to pay $60 bucks for an expansion. They could have atleast thrown in the Aerosmith faceplate that comes with the guitar bundle to make it seem like less of a rip off.

I guess the only thing I liked about this game is that I did get about $37 trade in credit at gamestop.

Instead of putting your endless list of things you hate about GH: A. Why not put the things you like in?

1. Some good songs
2. Easy Achievements
3.
4.

See, a much easier list

1. Game has no DLC
2. As a big Aerosmith fan, there's always more songs I wanted in there
3. Have to go through career mode 87 times to buy everything in the shop (especially the guitars).
4. For some reason I can't beat TKAR on expert.

I didn't even notice the different fretboards everyone is talking about... It didn't bother me at all.

Anyways, I'm glad they fixed the HO/PO system back to how it was (more realistic). However I did not like the easiness of all the songs and of course, the price.

Overall an enjoyable game for me - although after struggling for weeks on Raining Blood and Lou Guitar Battle on hard in GH3 it came as a surprise to beat Joe Perry on expert on my second attempt!

My biggest gripe is nothing new - the fact that only the primary account user gets the achievements - its madness.

Bring on GH Maiden

Honestly, the HOPOs don't bother me; I just don't like how the fret board, Rock Meter and everything else is identical to GH3, so I always forget that the HOPOs are more sensitive. I also hate the multitude of random strums in the solos, especially Joe Perry's Guitar Battle. And the lack of difficult songs is kinda disappointing.
And did anyone find it odd that Run DMC went all the way to Russia to open for Aerosmith?
