I'm just going to post a link in my thread to yours and delete the rest of it. This thread was sorta my idea in the first place, but whatever.

Edit: Ok I fixed it, before we would have a big problem. You were offline, so I thought I might as well start on a thread. Looks like our effort to reduce new threads failed :P

Another song is Drain You - Nirvana. Rumoured because of this screenshot. http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...115965-002.jpg
The lyrics are from that song.

Also bands that are rumoured:
Agent Orange
The Beatles
Built to Spill
The Buzzcocks
Journey
Led Zeppelin
Modest Mouse
Pavement
The Replacements
Tool
"Not only have you named some of my favorite bands, but you've also named some of the bands that are on the Rock Band 2 disc." So some of those bands are on Rock Band 2.

I can delete posts, not threads. The other thread is just a link to this one now.

Well, the nice thing about this is that now, between the two of you, you have the first five posts for updates if need be. o_O

Awesome thread, guys. Good luck trying to keep all the rumors and confirmations in check.

And yay for Chop Suey and Everlong. Definitely want those two. ^^

Oh, I know this isn't track related, but another RB2 news tidbit unlocked somewhere in my memory. RB2 is apparently going to feature Bo Diddley's guitar. Here's the article at Joystiq if'n you want to include it.

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/08/ro...ddleys-guitar/

And just for the sake of all info in one place, maybe it would be wise to include a link to the official announcement so people can read those specifics? Just a thought. ^^

Yeah, I hate youtube.

For anyone curious: I added youtube clips of the rumored songs, but almost all of them would not play here. They playback fine on youtube.com, but not embeded on other sites (like this one), so I just removed them.

Testament - "Electric Crown" and "Souls of Black"

Sources:
http://www.rockbandmods.net/news/tes...g-to-rock-band
http://www.rockgamer.com/2008/05/22/...ext-rock-band/

and

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/bla...wsitemID=96532

Much rather would've seen "The Legacy", "Trail of Tears" or God-willing, "3 Days of Darkness" or "Killing Season". However, this a good example of an epic band giving up their good, well known material for Rock Band. Motley Crue have done the opposite. Giving us all their new shit that nobody knows. Their new song -- and I hate to say this about them -- sucks ass. Saints is ok, my kids love it. Whisky is ass.

My daughter is IN LOVE with Beethoven's C***. She loves that damn song!

I'm glad we're getting some SOAD, I personally was hoping for Aerials, but I guess they need more songs with vocals in Tier 9 right?

DUDE!!! (Yes, I'm from California, and yes we start most sentences with "dude")

FINALLY some Alice in Chains -- and MAN IN THE BOX no less!!!

I hope that rumor is true, because that would truly match what Teasdale said about a very strong (he said "the best", obviously, he's selling the game) band lineup. If That new rumor of AiC, Linkin Park, Soundgarden, etc. is true, then it will reflect what he's saying.

I'm not from California and I'll sometimes drop a "dude" before my sentences. I blame the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. ^^

Anywho, HMX CEO Alex Rigopulos confirms the entire track list will be revealed at E3.

Bring on July 14th! Or 15th! Or whatever day on E3 the announcement is coming!

I know these are rumoured songs, but the sublime song seems fake. it seems fake just because of the sublime email address. If it was their management then then email address would be their site or record company or something, not definatly but more likely. But as i said i know its rumours and can be true and also since they are confrmed for GHWT it is very likely.

Buy good list.

i agree with this statement. this is list is awesome but its setting me and others up for some huge dissapointment as im betting a lot of these "confirmed" tracks dont end up on the release and a lot are saved for DLC or whatever

But even if they are DLC, at least you'll still get them!

Before RB1 was released, they said The Who, Nirvana and Metallica were confirmed to have albums released as DLC in the future. At this point, we know the Who album isn't happening (Greatest Hits instead), Nirvana's "Nevermind" has been on deck forever with no statement regarding it's status (although all the songs are on the list of "soon to be released"), and the Metallica "Black Album" status has just vaporized and is now non-existent.

Biggest shocker for DLC (for me anyways): Machine Head's "Aesthetics of Hate"

I thought it was the best metal song of 2007, and love it even more as it's written about a writer who blasted Dimebag Darrell after his on-stage murder in 2004. The title of the writer's article was "Aesthetics of Hate". Do I care that it wasn't on the disc? Of course not! The fact that Harmonix pays attention to one of the hottest thrash metal bands (and Bay Area natives!!) is just a bucket full of awesome.

So anything can happen with DLC, but even if the song(s) you're looking for get kicked to "DLC Status" rather than "Disc Status" -- at least you'll still see them. The Metallica Black Album has become the Rock Band DLC Unicorn.
