|Kill 2179 Xenomorphs|
After completing the game on recruit, UBA and finishing challenges, load up mission 4 (No Hope in Hadley's). When you first get the SmartGun, start killing in the tunnels and restart checkpoint when it's cleared out. You can get about 20-30 kills every few minutes. This seems to be the fastest method so far.

Realy? How long will this take, is this in All progress in Campaign and MP together in total or 2179 kills MP, or just 2179 kills in campaign?

@2 brush up on your movies please. Anyway I'm not sure the amount of Aliens you have to kill cause it doesn't sound Campaign or MP I'm guessing this the other option that we get to play beside the campaign and MP

@6 -"Anyway I'm not sure the amount of Aliens you have to kill".. Well it does say - Kill 2179 Xenomorphs. Think that may be an indication of an amount.

@7 like I said it doesn't say Campaign or MP so it doesn't say which even though it does stat you need to kill 2179 Xeno's which is a bug hunt.

Well the devs have been banging on about how faithful they've been to the film, and in all there were only 158 colonists on the planet! So I'm guessing a LOT of facehuggers and MP!

@9 You could all ways get your allies killed then kill the Xenomorph afterwards

@10 so basically "you distract them with death while i pop off a few rounds then proceed to run away" approach? ...I like it.
OT: Gearbox have said at one stage that some aspects of SP & MP are compatible, this could be one of them.

@12 - They tried that. Apparently Gearbox didn't care that it destroyed an "area the size of Nebraska". Maybe aliens are immune to nuclear fallout; at least that's what Gearbox would like us to think.

@14 Stands to reason an alien could survive all different kinds of things a human couldn't.For example, might not have lungs so no need to breathe oxygen. The queens in Aliens and also the 2004 AVP movie could still be alive because they can survive in deep space or underwater.Nuke fallout could be nothing to them.

Except at the end of Aliens, LV-426 was a giant gas cloud in space.

I don't think there is either. Try booting up level 4 (no hope in Hadley) and wait until the point where you receive the smart gun. Then go down that long hallway following and kill all the xenos. Then just restart checkpoint, rinse and repeat.

Another better option, load up level ten and play until you defend the door with the portable turret. Once all enemies are eliminated, you should have 25-28 kills. Rinse and repeat. I got 948 kills in 1.5 hrs

The kills you get on mp do count. This popped for me while I was playing with a buddy online.

does the last area of Mission 9 (Hope in Hadley's) spawn infinite Xenos?
i'm thinking that if you don't disconnect the fuel lines the Xenos won't stop attacking.
there's an ammo cache at the edge of the landing pad so all you'd have to do is survive/reset when you're near death

@26 You know what your right it never states the date in the movies.I know because i'm a huge fan and have read alot of the background info but an average viewer would be lost.I think it says the date at the beginning of the first movie, then you add the 57 years ripley was lost in space to get "aliens" date, but in the actual movie itself no date is mentioned.

in the area just before your encounter with the queen (after you takee out the aa guns with the rpg) dont jump down instead look to the right and you will see xenos crawling down some shipping contaners. if you stay on the ledge and shoot them they will keep spawning.

@23 or anyone else. Just tried lvl9 No Hope For Hadleys. There's a set amount of xenos that spawn at the end. Even took it nice and slow, one fuel line at a time. Only got another 20 kills that whole area (81 for the level).

I´m pretty sure "Arbitrarily Exterminated" is a reference about Burke. He says something about it to Ripley, but I dont quite remember the line.
