Assassin's Creed II

Assassin's Creed II Achievements

Lightning Strike

Sprint for 100 meters.

You can unlock this as early as DNA Sequence 1. For this achievement, you have to run continuously for 100 meters; it is not cumulative. All you have to do is hold down and to sprint without stopping or running into someone. This is easier to do around The Duomo in Central Florence where the streets are wider. Just run until the achievement unlocks. This takes about 15 seconds.

I just ran the 100 meters in one go, right at the very start of the game.

Took me about 30 seconds just running in circles. Simply hold down RT and A to sprint.

I got this before even getting into the Animus 2.0 lol. Just walk around in the warehouse after getting out the vehicle.

Why is this achievement called Lightning Strike, anyway?

yeah, the easiest way is on the fields outside of Tuscany, but I accidentally got it by running to a mission in Venice

The only remotely difficult bit of this is the clown who designed the controls made the sprint button and free-run* button the same thing - so you can suddenly climb on something randomly. You also can't use your thumb to move the camera whilst holding A, retarded design!
*They actually mean parkour. Freerunning or Free running (not hyphenated) is more gymnastic than parkour - Ezio does parkour.

I know!!! And it's even more retarded when you've played Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag to around 88% synchronization, used to usually holding RT to free-run and only holding RT and A to climb, just to have to hold both just to FUCKING FREE-RUN, let alone climbing like from Assassin's Creed (as Altair), 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, and 3!!! And with the recent new Unity and Rogue Assassin's Creed games, it fucking angers me to no end!!!!! >:(
