Assassin's Creed III Achievements

Patent Not Pending

10
Craft one of Franklin's inventions to decorate your Manor.

To get the ability to craft one Franklin's inventions, you must collect his almanac pages and you will get the "recipes" for them. You then must have the supplies and the correct "craftsman" for the job. It's best to attempt this achievement after you have completed all Homestead missions so that everyone is leveled up and you have access to all supplies. After doing all of this, you just have to use the Accounting Book. Inside the front door the the manor, look left and you'll see a book in a room that lets you craft. These books are also in all of the general shops.

Note: You must craft all of his recipes anyways for the 100% DNA Tracker.

Wonder if these inventions will actually come in use, or just be for decoration.

i totally called that it would be set in the American Revolution with Ben Franklin would be inventing things for you just like da Vinci, back around when AC2 came out and you see the Free Mason's insignia at the end :)

@13 just keep an eye out for the homestead missions and their follow-ups. They're all artisans in one way or another. As you open chests and complete missions, you unlock more recipes. You can craft by using the trade book that's at the mansion or any of the general stores.

@11 Get the recipes from collecting almanacs, then go into the accounting book, crafting, down to inventions, make sure you have the required materials and artisans, and then make it.

How do you get iron

So I've been doing the homestead missions as they come and for some reason all my artisans are still at level 1. I'm at Sequence 9 right now and still no changes. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

@17 It may be a bug, but after you get each artisan, remember their are follow-on missions, not just in the homestead, but in boston, new york, and even the frontier. Keep an eye for the homestead mission icon. I think the last mission is the funeral (someone correct me if i'm wrong) and all your people will be at their max level.

@16 When you look at the Accounting book, there are 3 options, the first one is Stockpile, go down to minerals and to your right you'll find iron ore. If it's not there with the rest of the ores, you may need a few more homestead missions.

How do you fully level up artisans? I have no more mission icons left on my screen, but some are still level 2.

This is definitely a progressive achievement. I'll agree with #18, though I do not think it's a bug. I'm past the prologue and I'm still doing homestead missions. There's a large amount of things to do. My theory is that the more you sync up the memories, the more homestead missions and more cumulative things open up. I took down a few Templar forts and I got a message window saying I had more homestead missions unlocked. I don't think it directly stems from that specific action, just an example. I periodically check the map for like silverkngt101 was saying.

Do you just level up artisans by making them build things and shipping them via convoy to Boston, NY, and the Frontier?

you can't level up artisans by making things or by shipping the convoys,
just do the farmer missions helping them.

Rescue the Blacksmith, invite him to stay at the farm and start his mission, you will need to go to New York and buy a new hammer for him. Come back to the farm and give him the hammer. Go home and craft a invention that need a Blacksmith level 2, a glass bottle and one metal that i can't remeber its name

ps: sorry for my english, it is not my language

You have to do some homested missions to level up the characters in order to make the invention.

I finally had all the resources for 1 invention and that's it. I know the items needed to make the rest but don't know how to get them. Things like glass bottles and walnut wood, and the different types of ores. I need to know how to get them. All missions are done I'm just working on the %100 DNA tracker.
