|Uncover the mystery of Oak Island.|
To visit Oak Island you have to find all 24 Peg Leg Trinkets and finish all parts of the "Peg Leg" side mission explained in the "Bring Down the House" achievement description. This is just finishing the Kidd's Treasure quest. This is the last location of the quest that you must complete. After you are done, the achievement will unlock (uncovering the mystery is just doing the quest, nothing special on your part).

Oak Island is actually a very interesting modern day mystery that most people probably haven't heard of, and including it in Assassin's Creed is just perfect. I'm betting it's going to be a hidden First Civilization ruin or something.

I don't want to give anything away, but this is for anyone that has problems with objectives once you get to Oak Island. Don't reload the last checkpoint, just quit out and reload your save file. It will save you the headache and load to where you left off.

I experienced the same problem with the tree, it refused to accept what I was doing. What I ended up doing was doing the three other alignments then proceeding to the last one, worked great!

I was doing fine until I reloaded to the last checkpoint. As soon as I did that, the stupid tree refused to line up again. I tried reloading the checkpoint quite a few more times to do the others first, but it didn't help. It only seemed to work once I quit out and reloaded the save file. I hope people don't waste too much time on trying to make it work like I did >_

Are you supposed to be able to equip this ring at some point?

I was wondering the same thing. Will we be able to use the ring at any time? Maybe in the upcoming DLC?

Does this entail using pivots? Or is it a naval mission? Kind of confused on this one...

A ring that helps you dodge bullets. I'm telling you that when you're ready, you won't have to.

Poison darts against the wolves works. They do not count as a ranged weapon. Also, set up some trip mines right before you get near the last clue (after aligning all 4 previous clues). This will really help in taking out the wolves.

@Cayusez, I had to look it up online. Apparently you have to locate and turn in all of the "peg leg" trinkets to peg leg by the ship in homestead. Then he the location will unlock.

At the Homestead near the ship the guy with a "peg leg" talk to him and turn in the trinkets when you get them and he'll give you new maps to find more. Eventually you'll actually go to the island and be rewarded with a Piece of Eden and the best outfit in the game.

To get 100% and not get hurt fighting the wolves, hide in one the hiding spots of tree limbs pile and wait for one of the wolves to approach really close. Then jump out and stab. The others will go running off to try to get a running jump on you, but you go back in to hide again and wait for the next one.

I got it using just trip wire mines.
Went to the den and put one down before triggering event. First wolf blew up, placed second mine and kept it between me and second wolf 'til he charged. Rinse, repeat, done.
Couldn't place multiple mines at the same time. Second one down made the first go away.
Got a real big smile watching them wolves go flying, after too many tries with the quick time event prompts being buggy.

The ring gives you an Electro magnetic field around you that bounces bullets away from you when being shot at. you can see when it works because you'll get surrounded by a big yellow thing for a moment. pretty sweet in my opinion.

The quick time event is BS, no matter how fast I press the buttons it never seems to work. Oh and after I luckily beat the wolves it says shoot the barrels but I press Y time and time again and nothing happens...this game is frustrating and broken...great story but absolute crap bugs make it unplayable sometimes...

You can do the optional objective of not using range weapons by following this little trick I found on Sunday morning:
When you get to this bit don't go in the green circle as that triggers the wolves.
Instead go away from the circle towards where the wolves appear from and climb the rock.
You'll find some leaves, place a trip mine down there then run back to the green circle to trigger the wolves spawning. They'll all insta-die if you place the one trip-mine in the right place.
I did it first time but you might find some trial and error is needed to find their spawn point. And it beats trying to do those bloody quick time events as they're insanely quick.
