Assassin's Creed III

Assassin's Creed III Achievements

Blowing in the Wind

Retrieve every page for one of Ben Franklin's Almanacs.

For this achievement, you do not have to collect every page. It is only required to complete one of the Almanacs. While in a town, there will be random floating pages that you must collect. If you go to the general store you can purchase a map to find them all, making this extremely easy. In order to get 100% DNA Tracker, however, you must collect every single page anyways. They are only found in Boston and New York. There are a total of 32 to find.

I have a strong feeling that it's called "blowing in the wind" for a reason :(

I take it this is Poor Richard's Almanac. From what I've seen, it's 144 pages, at least that's the first copy.

Actually this isn't bad at all. You can start collecting the pages in Boston, and if I saw it right, there's only 4 pages in that area to collect.

They appear in specific locations and they blow through the air and you have to chase after them and grab them. If you mess up, you have to wait a while and return to the location & try again. With that being said, I have yet to grab the first one cause I keep messing up & losing where the paper blows in the sky. Takes a while to learn the complete path it blows.

I can confirm you only need to grab 4 pages for a specific volume to get the achievement. Pretty easy. However if you want 100% you'll need to grab them all I assume. But even then, there's not too many.

Helpful tip: The paper beginning to flutter away seems to be triggered to start when you look at it, so when climbing buildings and approaching the pages, try not to actually look at them, but mark them on your map and follow the icons on the screen. Doing so has helped me immensely.

@11 & 13, no you don't have to give them to anyone, they just get sent to the manor as part of your collection and you can see them in once of the bookcases upstairs, the one in the room with the globe.

@10 Buy the maps from the general stores, makes finding them easier, now chasing is another store, but they're pretty simple. I did these as I ran around, but no reason you can't wait until the end of the game since it doesn't hold up any sequences, but you need them for recipes of franklin's inventions.

What's more annoying than hunting collectables? Hunting collectables that move in unpredictable patterns and suddenly disappear!

I just wanted to say that you don't have to just patiently wait for them to land somewhere, you just have to come into contact with them. You can't wait too long, though, or they'll vanish within' approx. 10 seconds. Oh, and they have at least two different flight paths depending on which direction you come at them.

I found it helped me a lot to get as close to their starting position as possible then move quickly to grab it before it gets too far.
