Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Achievements

Easy Come, Easy Go

Pay 500 florins to an orator, then pickpocket him afterward.

You must first increase your Notoriety, so make sure you don't have the cape on that doesn't allow your Notoriety to go up. Once you have done that, find a Herald (use your map). Go up to him and Bribe him with (500 florins) and your Notoriety level will decrease. Once you have done that, hold to steal your money back from him.

So basically, do what everyone always does when they bribe an orator. Fun stuff.

Pretty funny that they made this an achievement in the 3rd game's DLC, been doing that since game 1. Like everyone else, probably.

Damn, I tried this but it didn't pop up.
It seems like you really need the DLC for it.

Yeah I was gonna ask that too I figured this achievement was about the heralds, not sure why they worded it as orator here.

Funny enough, I never do that because I'm either always pulling down posters, making sure not to get above 1/4 notoriety, or just bribing the heralds because I had too much money. xD

Well I'm an idiot. I ran around looking for one of these guys to bride, but none of them would! Then I realized that I had the cape equiped that kept my notoriety permanently at 0%. I guess thats what I get for not playing this game in forever.

Other than that, this is a very easy achievement.

i wish they would just put 5g worth of this achievement into GOING UP achievement or NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK achievement. its way too easy, easier than than collecting 100g florins civilians

@31 You do have the DLC installed right? Coz if not then you won't get the achievement no matter how many times you try. I myself didn't realise that this was that easy! I didn't know that orator was another word for herald so I thought it might actually be to do with the story...haha.

Most of these DLC achievements are so random! Pretty much all the ones apart from the completion ones are being in weird encounters with guards in some form or another. Fun though!

I have the DLC but I cannot get any of the achievements. Any ideas why? I am not sure how to get the new missions to start either. Do I need to go activate my DLC after I download it?

the DLC but how much does it cost?

@33 I've gotten other achievements for the DLC without any kind of activation. The game reads it automatically. If you have any kind of bonus (from outfits or whatever) that keep you from getting to "Notorious", then you can't get this achievement.

Here's my problem. I can't gain any notoriety at all. I've tried the "Plain Cape" and "Drachen Armor" outfits, but no matter what I do my notoriety bar never starts to fill. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Do you not start gaining notoriety until a certain mission is complete (only on Sequence 3 right now)?

@35 You can either go to the Xbox Live Marketplace and search for the game and then go to the "Extras" (I think) tab, or when you're at the main screen of the game go to the "Extras" option and select "Downloadable Content". The price will show up there. I can't remember if I got this for free or around 320 MS points. They were running a special on Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood content awhile back.

Okay, so I just answered one of my questions and it may help anyone else who was thinking they would get this out of the way right off the bat. You have to wait until you've completed the first quest for La Volpe at the Thieves Guild. Only then can you start accumulating notoriety and therefore become Notorious before going to pay off the herald and then steal it back.

Hope that helps.

THANK YOU to the guy who said about the auditore cape, I couldn't figure out why I wasn't gaining notoriety. Guess I should play more frequently so I don't forget these minor details!
