Introduction:
It’s a cold and eerie Christmas Eve in Gotham City and the treacherous Black Mask has rounded up the best of the best – or in this case, the worst of the worst – to track down the caped crusading vigilante and put an end to his youthful days. Unlike the previous Arkham titles, Origins is developed by an entirely new team, WB Montreal. They have, however, kept the game in the same fashion of an open world, action title. An interesting addition to Origins is the Southern extension of Gotham and new array of gadgets, which allows for more adventures, secrets and combat. Prepare for an unique prequel to the Arkham series and be ready to devote a substantial amount of time to this game as you tackle the Story Mode under three different playthroughs, gather all the collectibles scattered around Gotham, test your combat and stealth skills in the Challenge Maps, and dip your toes in the all new Multiplayer Mode.

Story
Jump into the Story Mode right from the start in order to experience Batman’s adventures and misfortunes in Gotham City. You can choose to play on Normal or Hard, but the difficulty does not matter on this first playthrough. Be sure to check out the guide below for the achievements "Flawless Display" and "Point Counter-Point" as they are related to different assassin fights and can be missable. There are several side missions you will encounter during your playthrough as well, so do not be hesitant in taking a break from the main storyline to work on them. Similarly, be on the lookout for collectibles and "Anarky Tags" as you will need to retrieve them all for Enigma Unravelled, First Riddler Trophy, and Voice of the People. Some collectibles can only be obtained with certain upgrades, so you may need to wait until late in your playthrough to grab them. Also, please take note that since "predator rooms" do not respawn enemies after you have cleared them out, Worst Nightmare, Legend of the Dark Knight, and I've Got This are considered missable - unless you can get them done on your New Game+ playthrough.

Side Quests, Collectibles & Miscellaneous Tasks
Once you have completed the main storyline, you can return to Gotham and free roam at your own leisure. Take this time to complete any remaining side missions or retrieve any missing collectibles. You may also want to finish working on mastering each of the 4 Dark Knight tracks at this time and picking up any miscellaneous achievements you may have missed.

New Game+ Playthrough
Upon completing the game on your first playthrough, you will unlock New Game+ which essentially allows you to play through the game a second time, while keeping all your upgrades and progress for collectibles and Dark Knight tracks. Take note however, that New Game+ has a default difficultly setting of Hard, so both the enemies and bosses will be much smarter and aggressive in combat. In addition to this, the counter prompt in combat is also removed, so be careful when fighting against groups of enemies.

I Am The Night Mode
Your third and final playthrough of the Story Mode will be on the new difficulty, I Am The Night Mode. After completing New Game+, this new mode – which is essentially a “no deaths” mode – will be available in the Main Menu. Like New Game+, you will be able to keep all your upgrades. Autosave checkpoints will be enabled on this mode, so don’t think you will need to complete the entire game in one sitting. For further tips, be sure to check out the achievement guide below.

Challenge Maps
Like the previous Arkham games, there will be a mix of Combat, Predator and Campaign Challenge Maps to complete. In addition to this, Combat Training and Custom Challenge Maps make their debut in Arkham Origins. Each set of Challenges have their own achievements, tasking you to earn all the medals across every Challenge Map in the game. Since these Challenges unlock through story progression, it is highly recommended to work on these post game, and to start on the Combat Training Challenges first. Lastly, take note that Perfectionist, Medalist, and Olympian are considered missable. Some of the Challenge Maps require the Sonic Shock Batarang, and this will only unlock by completing Rank 10 of the Worst Nightmare track in the Story Mode.

Multiplayer
The Multiplayer in Batman Arkham Origins is a new addition to the series, and unfortunately, it doesn't offer anything special past the eleven achievements themselves. Fortunately, all the achievements can be obtained in Private Matches. There are four achievements for ranking up to Level 30 and entering Prestige and another four achievements for specific actions you must perform while playing in a full, eight player match. Lastly, the final three achievements are the easiest, requiring you to level up any one weapon to its max rank, earn a set amount of experience points in a single match, and win a match as each of three factions on all four maps. None of these achievements are particularly hard, but if you are not boosting them, they will prove to be quite troublesome.

Mop-Up
At this time, you should have obtained nearly all of the Single Player related achievements across your three playthroughs of the Story Mode. If not, hop back into Gotham City and continue grinding out the Dark Night tracks and various collectibles. Also, remember to go back and obtain all the medals across the 5 different sets of Challenge Maps and snag any remaining Multiplayer achievements if you have not already done so.

Conclusion
Overall, Batman Arkham Origins is a great addition to the Arkham series. Despite the change in developers, WB Montreal has been able to offer us a compelling story of a young Bruce Wayne, while delivering the same satisfying gameplay we loved in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The new, I Am The Knight Mode, and the Challenge Maps may be very overwhelming to some, but once you have nailed the combat system and understand how to use each and every gadget effectively, Batman Arkham Origins will be a walk in the park!

Initiation DLC

NOTE*
Both achievements are currently glitched and will not unlock after you complete the challenge maps. A patch is supposedly in the works but there is no exact date at this time.

Introduction:

Welcome back, folks! The new Initiation DLC adds small amount of content to Arkham Origins. It features five new challenge maps and two additional costume skins: Initiation Bruce Wayne and Vigilante Bruce Wayne.

The Campaign challenge for the new maps offers an interesting, yet minor origins story to a young Bruce Wayne in his days before ever becoming the Batman. You will witness Bruce struggle through his martial arts training with hand-to-hand combat master, Kirigi, far away in a secluded mountaintop monastery and deep in a bamboo forest within North Korea's Paektu-San Mountains.

The Initiation DLC Pack costs $6.99/£5.49 on the Xbox Games Store, or FREE if you have already purchased the Season Pass. Lastly, there are also two new achievements tied to this DLC, both of which can be completed within a few hours of pure Arkham combat and the stealthy maneuvering on the Predator maps we all love and know.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:

In order to begin working on the Initiation DLC achievements, you will have to first load the Challenge Mode through the Story Mode option of the Main Menu. From here, you can opt to play as either Initiation Bruce Wayne or Vigilante Bruce Wayne and tackle the 24 Original Ranked and 12 Original Campaign challenge maps. Upon successfully obtaining the 72 Ranked medals and 108 Campaign medals, both Bruce's Revenge and Campaign Ninja will unlock.

Although there is no achievement tied to the five new challenge maps, I would highly suggest experimenting with them, while also bringing your attention to the new "Rite of Passage" Campaign challenge map. This will ensure a unique experience of the short, yet interesting narrative included across the five new stages, while you battle in exotic locales that are both beautiful and mystifying.

Conclusion:
Overall, the Initiation DLC doesn't offer much, but fans of the Challenge Mode in Arkham games will find the content quite satisfying. So long as you obtain all the medals on the Original Ranked and Original Campaign challenge maps as either of the Bruce Wayne skins, completing this DLC will only take a few dedicated hours.

Cold, Cold Heart DLC

Introduction:
We return to Gotham for one last time in Arkham Origins. The Cold, Cold Heart DLC begins swiftly with Bruce Wayne holding the Wayne Humanitarian Award gathering. The awards and hand-shaking are cut short however, when Victor Fries (Mr. Freeze) storms the party and kidnaps the CEO of GothCorp, Ferris Boyle. Set out in Southern Gotham across the Coventry and Diamond Districts as Batman faces off against the chaos created by Mr. Freeze and is faced with the struggle of uncovering the harsh realities behind both the villain and the victim. Keep in mind there are a total of ten achievements tied to this DLC as well. The list will task you with completing the storyline, finding twelve more Activist tags around Gotham and a handful of other simple, yet unique miscellaneous tasks.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
A single playthrough of the DLC is all that is necessary in order to obtain all ten achievements. You will naturally earn the three story-related achievements as you progress through the game. These are "Let it Snow," "Drilling for Justice," and "For Auld Lang Syne." Your first achievement will come very early on before any of those, however. During the beginning sequence of the story, you will be playing as Bruce Wayne inside Wayne Manor and in order to unlock "Master Wayne," you will need to clear the hallway fight, library predator room, and wine cellar assault without taking any damage. If you do get hit however, you can always restart your checkpoint. After retrieving your suit inside the Batcave, but before leaving Wayne Manor, make sure to grab "Snowjob" during the the Ballroom fight.

Once you arrive in Gotham, you can begin working on "Down with the Revolution" by clearing the first three thug operations in the city. The final thug operation becomes available after a few missions are completed. Then, once you retrieve the XE Suit, make sure to grab "Stalact-tactician" while inside the My Alibi nightclub. When you approach the end of the DLC and have returned to the GothCorp building with the XE Suit, be sure to plan out tactics for "Come Out of the Cold." For this achievement, you will need to perform three ice wall takedowns. Two can be performed in the Organics Research Lab, while the third can be done during the final boss fight.

Lastly, you can work on "Paint the Town Red" at any time during the story. Like the main game, this achievement will require you to track down twelve Activist tags around both districts and scan them while in detective vision mode. In order to unlock "Breaking the Ice," you will need to save a total of 20 police officers that are trapped in cryogenic stasis. The police officers are scattered between both districts, the My Alibi nightclub, and the GothCorp building. Do take note that you will first need the XE Suit in order work on this achievement.

Conclusion:
Overall, the Cold, Cold Heart DLC is a fantastic finish to Arkham Origins. The gameplay is smooth and familiar, allowing long-time fans to hop right back into Gotham as they unravel the origins story of Mr. Freeze. New features such as the cryogenic weaponry and the XE suit add small levels of innovation to the game. The achievement list is quite easy as well. At least half of them will be obtained naturally as you proceed though the storyline, while a few others will require a little more attention and planning. For a $10 price tag, it is highly recommended to give this DLC a shot. You’ll be sure to enjoy it!

Shut Down10
Shut down an entire Tower Network (6)

During one of the very first story missions of the game, you will meet "Nigma" while inside the Coventry Radio Tower. After destroying the satellite jamming device at the top of the tower and exiting the roof into Gotham City, your world map will become populated with small yellow sound wave icons that represent Network Relays.

Now that you are free to roam around Gotham at your own pace, you can take this time to make your way to each of the Network Relays in the Coventry district. In order to destroy a Relay, simply throw a Batarang at it. Once all ten have been destroyed in this district, the achievement will unlock.

Counter-intelligence10
Decipher one Extortion File (4)

The Extortion Files in the game are comprised of ten different Enigma Items and are usually found within the same district as each other. Simply keep collecting Enigma Items during your playthrough and you will eventually retrieve all ten for a single Extortion File.

For more information regarding the collectibles in the game, please refer to "Enigma Unravelled" below.

Enigma Unravelled15
Collect all Enigma items (4)

Enigma Items are a form of collectibles that Edward Nigma has left scattered across Gotham City. Early on in the game, after meeting him via a radio broadcast in the Coventry Radio Tower, you can immediately make your way to his HQ in the Burnley district of New Gotham. Once you reach the bottom floor and approach his computer terminal, you will speak with him via another broadcast where he reveals information about the "enforcers" he has around Gotham.

After receiving this information, exit the HQ and your world map will now have blue Enigma icons around each district. These icons represent the enforcers. They tend to have a green aura surrounding them when you get near, so you can easily identify them if they are in a group of thugs. After interrogating them, they will reveal the locations of the 10 Data Fragments for a single Extortion File. The collectibles will be represented by small green cellphone icons on the world map.

Take note that some of these collectibles can only be retrieved with certain gadgets - notably the electric gloves, triple batarangs, or glue grenades. Since some of these gadgets are directly related to story progression, you may want to wait to collect the Data Fragments until post game. Either way, once you have collected all 200 Fragments, the achievement will unlock.

First Riddler Trophy30
Collect every collectible (16)

After you have found all 200 Enigma Items in Gotham City and have destroyed all 10 Network Relays in each district, return to Nigma's HQ in the Burnley district and proceed to the ground floor. You will now be able to bypass the sealed door near the computer terminal that was previously locked during your first visit. Once you have hacked the security code, enter the room and punch the green question mark on the wall on the far right. Pick up the Riddler trophy on the other side of the broken wall and the achievement will unlock.

One down, several to go10
Complete a Most Wanted entry (3)

The earliest you can obtain this achievement is after leaving Penguin's ship, The Final Offer. When you exit the ship to the outer decks, a political activist known as Anarky will begin projecting a message on the mast of the ship.

Speak with his follower who is located directly in front of you on the catwalks. You will be forced to beat the clock and make your way to a bomb site on the other side of Gotham City. Get there as quickly as possible and take out the group of thugs around the bomb before defusing it.

Once the first bomb has been taken cared of, the next follower will be marked on your map. Open up your world map and set a waypoint on their location. You will now have to repeat this method twice more for the next two bombs before you can finally confront Anarky at the courthouse in the Park Row district. After defeating him, the achievement will finally unlock.

The Innocent and the Predatory25
Capture all of Black Mask's Assassins (7)

The are a total of eight assassins that will be tracking you down throughout the game. You will encounter six of them through natural story progression. These are: Killer Croc, Deathstroke, Copperhead, Electrocutioner, Firefly and Bane. After a fairly simple, yet unique "boss battle" against them, you will subdue the assassin and GCPD will be contacted to pick them up.

The remaining two assassins, Deadshot and Shiva, are not related to the main storyline, however. You will have to initiate specific side missions in order capture them. Deadshot's side mission, which involves investigating an S.O.S signal in Bowery district, will become available after you deal with Copperhead inside the Steel Mill. Shiva's mission can be started right away after completing the story mission that takes place inside the Gotham Merchants Bank.

Both Deadshot and Shiva are also listed under your Most Wanted hub once their side missions begin. You can use their records in the Most Wanted hub in order to track your progress or see details pertaining to their mission. Once you have finally captured all eight assassins, the achievement will unlock.

Shadow Vigilante15
Master the Shadow Vigilante Dark Knight track (12)

Please refer to "Legend of the Dark Knight" for more information.

Gotham Protector15
Master the Gotham Protector Dark Knight track (7)

Please refer to "Legend of the Dark Knight" for more information.

Worst Nightmare15
Master the Worst Nightmare Dark Knight track (15)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

Please refer to "Legend of the Dark Knight" for more information.

World's Greatest Detective15
Master the World's Greatest Detective Dark Knight track

Please refer to "Legend of the Dark Knight" for more information.

Legend of the Dark Knight25
Complete all Dark Knight challenges (5)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

These four Dark Knight tracks are unique challenges that must be completed during your time in the Story Mode portion of the game. Each track has 15 challenges that get progressively skill-oriented the further you climb the track.

The Shadow Vigilante challenges focus on technique variation, gadget usage, and counters during combat while the Gotham Protector challenges focus on stopping crimes in progress and performing different gliding techniques. The Worst Nightmare challenges – which are the most difficult of the four – see you utilizing stealth as you take down unaware enemies with different combat techniques and gadgets. Lastly, the World’s Greatest Detective challenges are strictly related to completing a certain percentage of the game’s “database” entries by finding collectibles and solving crime scenes around Gotham City.

It's highly suggested to start working on the challenges as soon as possible on your first playthrough. Your primary focus should be on the Worst Nightmare track. Since enemies in predator rooms and/or certain predator encounters do not respawn after clearing them out, you may miss some chances on finishing this track in a single playthrough, thus making this achievement, along with Worst Nightmare and I've Got This partially missable if you do not finish them on your other two playthroughs.

In order to view these Dark Knight tracks, press and scroll over to the third tab using the button. Here, you can see all 60 challenges in the game and even take a peek at little hints that are provided for each individual challenge. You can tell which specific challenges you have already completed at any time by referring to the checkmark box near challenge’s details. If you need help with any general tips for any of the tracks, you can visit THIS THREAD for more information. For specific strategies for the Worst Nightmare challenges, utilize THIS THREAD instead.

Crime Scene Investigator10
Complete all Casefiles (5)

During your playtrough, Batman will come across crime scenes that take place within the main storyline or through radio calls dispatched by the GCPD. You will need to investigate these locations in order to complete the case file for that specific crime. The first crime scene you come across during the game will take place shortly after you have left the Batcave and make a stop in the Coventry Radio Tower.

In order to initiate these crime scene investigations, tap the to activate detective mode. Now you will need to search the crime scene for small red triangles which will be points of interest. Hold down the to scan these points and Batman will begin narrating what he believes to have happened at the crime scene.

As you work on these investigations, you will sometimes need to review the evidence by fast forwarding or rewinding the reconstructed events. To do that, simply hold to rewind or to fast forward. After you have successfully finished a crime scene investigation, you will notice the crime scene progress bar on the right side of the screen flash at 100% completion. Below, you can find a list of all the case files in the game, and whether they are related to the main storyline or are radioed in by the GCPD.

  • Coventry Tower Deathtrap [Main]
  • Lacey Towers [Main]
  • Jezebel Plaza Fall [GCPD]
  • Dixon Docks Shooting [GCPD]
  • Coventry Fire [GCPD]
  • Burnley Hit and Run [GCPD]
  • Amusement Mile Mauler [GCPD]
  • Crime Alley Shootings [GCPD]

In order to check your progress or any details for any of the case files, press and scroll over to the fifth tab using to find your progress menu. Also, take note that Amusement Mile Mauler and Crime Alley Shooting will only be available after you have completed the main storyline and have completed the other six case files. The achievement will unlock once all 8 case files have been completed.

Crime Fighter10
Stop 20 Crime in Progress (2)

Crimes in Progress will randomly occur throughout your playthrough of the Story Mode. They will only take a few minutes to complete, as they simply consist of beating up a few thugs. As you glide around Gotham during your playthough, there will be a GCPD radio call about a crime nearby. As soon as you hear this call, there will be a red directional arrow on the top right corner of your screen showing you where the crime is located.

You can easily identify the targets you need to neutralize because they will be highlighted with a red aura when you get close. You will also overhear them talking about setting up a crime or threatening a civilian. Take out all the highlighted thugs until you see the words "CRIME IN PROGRESS COMPLETE" pop up on the screen.

Try not to leave any crimes in progress unattended. They can be completed in a matter of minutes and net a decent amount of XP upon completion. After completing at least 20 of these, the achievement will unlock.

Thanks, old friend10
Hear everything Alfred has to say (28)

When you are required to return to the Batcave, make sure to speak with Alfred before venturing back to Gotham City. You can usually find him near the Training terminal, Batwing, or central computer hub. Click to speak with him and a mini animation will begin as the two characters exchange dialogue. You will earn some XP for having gained some "wisdom" from Alfred each time he says something worth of note.

This "wisdom" is essential in obtaining the achievement. He will usually have a new "wisdom" conversation once you complete a Most Wanted entry, capture one of the eight assassins, or have completed a major mission in the main storyline.

If you have not unlocked this achievement by the end of the game, simply follow these steps and it should unlock after some time:

  1. Travel to the Batcave
  2. Talk with Alfred until he shares some wisdom
  3. Continue talking to him until he begins to repeat some lines of dialogue
  4. Go to the Training terminal and activate it; now exit after loading it up
  5. Speak with Alfred again and you should have a new "Wisdom" conversation
  6. Whether you get Wisdom or not, exhaust all dialogue until he repeats
  7. Repeat Steps 3-5 until the achievement unlocks

While many people have reported this achievement to be a little inconsistent, I have found that some of the key "Wisdom" conversations were about the following topics:

  • Killer Croc's mutation (after analyzing the data chip in the beginning of the game)
  • Electricutioner's arrogance (when returning to the Batcave for the Concussion Detonator)
  • Bane's obsession with Batman (after coming back to the Batcave post-game)
  • A King Bat in the Philippines (random conversation)
  • Firefly's attack on the innocents (after coming back to the Batcave post-game)
  • Nigma's "real" name (after completing Nigma's Most Wanted entry)
  • Joker's whereabouts post-game (after defeating the Joker)

There may or may not be a few more key conversations that count towards this achievement, so just follow the steps above and you will eventually unlock the achievement.

Personal Trainer10
Obtain all the medals on Combat Training maps (5)

Combat Training Maps can be launched at the Main Menu, or at the training terminal at the north end of the Batcave in the Story Mode. These Combat Training Challenges, while new to Arkham Origins, are essentially very short combat encounters against the AI that will help develop your skills as a fighter in the game.

There are 12 Combat Maps and they will only unlock by progressing through the main storyline. Each Map will have three unique medals that must be obtained in a single attempt. These medals are simple tasks that you must perform such as "Reach an 8x Multiplier," "Perform a Special Takedown on an Armored Thug," or "Avoid Getting Hit."

A drop menu will appear before the challenge starts, which gives you decent tips on how to obtain each medal. If you are already experienced with the combat system in the Arkham games, these combat scenarios will be extremely simple. If you are not yet accustomed to the combat system, it would be wise to focus on these challenges as soon as you unlock the rather than wait until post game. Once you have obtained all 36 medals in these Combat Training Maps, the achievement will finally unlock.

Perfectionist20
Obtain all the medals on Custom maps in Challenge mode (2)

Custom Challenge maps can be launched at the Main Menu, or at the training terminal at the north end of the Batcave in the Story Mode. Like the Combat Training Maps, these Custom Maps will only unlock through story progression.

The Custom Maps share similarities with the Campaign Challenge maps, in that you must complete all the Combat and Predator challenges with at least on modifier active. Unlike the Campaign Challenges however, they are not stacked into a set of three maps and you do not have to use every modifier.

In fact, I highly recommend choosing any one modifier you are most comfortable with, such as the "Health Replenisher" or "Takedown Projectile" modifier and apply it it every Custom map you work on. Whichever way you go about finishing these 24 Custom Maps, once you have obtained all 72 medals on them, the achievement will finally unlock.

I've Got This10
Acquire all upgrades

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

Every time you gain enough XP to level up in the Story Mode, you will earn a single upgrade point. These points can be spent to unlock upgrades and improve Batman’s skills and equipment. The upgrades are divided into three categories: Close Combat, Invisible Predator, and Auxiliary.

The Close Combat upgrades focus on increasing Batman’s effectiveness when fighting an enemy close in, fighting large groups of enemies or when fighting specialized melee. The Invisible Predator skill tree helps improve stealth combat such as evasion, concealment and takedown abilities. Lastly, the Auxiliary upgrades are unique as they deal with gadget improvement and combat techniques and will automatically unlock by completing certain Dark Knight tracks and Most Wanted missions.

Each of these categories have their own “skill tree” and like any skill tree, you can only unlock the later upgrades by spending points on earlier skills – even if they are not all that great. The deeper you get into an upgrade tree, the more powerful the upgrades become. Unless you complete every side mission, find every collectible and complete all the Most Wanted entires and crime scene investigations, you may not be able to obtain all the upgrades on your first playthrough. Fortunately, since your progress carries over into New Game+, you can continue working on it on your second playthrough if necessary. Take note that this achievement is considered missable if you do not complete Challenge 10 of the Worst Nightmare Track before finishing your New Game+ playthrough.

Free Flow Fifty15
Reach x50 Combo (9)

This achievement is best done on Round 4 of the “Intensive Care” Combat Challenge Map, as you will have plenty of enemies to fight and it is unlocked early on in the game. All the enemies on this particular Map are standard goons, so you will not have to worry about armored, shielded, or weapon-wielding enemies.

The best tactic in raising your combo meter to 50 is to hit an enemy, then jump over him; hit another enemy, and then jump over them. If you keep repeating this process, you should be able to take out all the enemies with ease whilst never breaking your combo. Additionally, if you have unlocked the Shock Gloves in the Story Mode, activate them during the Challenge Map to get a x2 multiplier with each hit. Just make sure to counter an attack when necessary or your combo will break. Also, try to avoid using any combo attacks or finishers so that your enemies will stay alive longer.

Anyone see that?10
Complete a predator encounter without ever being spotted (12)

Please refer to "Silent Knight" for more information.

What hit me?15
Take down 100 enemies who didn't know you were there (3)

This achievement is relatively straightforward - you will simply have to take out, by any means of silent takedowns or gadgets, a total of 100 enemies without ever being detected. These silent take downs will most likely come naturally as you encounter the various "Predator Rooms" within the story.

If you have not yet unlocked this by the end of the game, it's highly recommended to glide around Gotham and search for rooftops that have 2-3 armed thugs on patrol. They are usually spread out, which means you can get an easy silent takedown on each. Most of the rooftops in the city will be populated with thugs, so just keep an eye open and make a stop on each rooftop. There is no set way to keep track of this achievement, so just keep performing silent takedowns until the achievement finally unlocks.

Silent Knight10
Complete a predator encounter using only silent takedowns (2)

This achievement can be easily stacked with Anyone see that? early on in the Story Mode. The best spot to work on them is very early on in the game, when Batman is onboard Penguin's ship, The Final Offer, and has just locked up Penguin's Assistant, Tracey.

After taking care of her, you will enter the first "Predator Room" in the game. As soon as you enter, hold down to stay crouched while you work your way around the room silently taking out the enemies. To perform a silent takedown, position yourself behind an enemy and hold the to subdue them. Use this method on all six enemies in the room and if you remain unnoticed throughout, you will earn both achievements.

If you miss your chance at obtaining either of these achievements during this section of the game, there will be plenty of other opportunities throughout the Story. Just make sure to get both of these achievements done before finishing the game, because enemies do not respawn in “Predator Rooms” after clearing them out.

Point to Point10
Glide across Bridge without touching ground (12)

In order to get this done, you will have to use your Grapnel Gun and glide across the entire length of Gotham Pioneers Bridge. This is the strip of land that connects New Gotham and Old Gotham, so it's easy to spot on your world map.

This can be done at any point during the Story Mode. Simply position yourself at one end of the bridge and blast your Grapnel Gun at the support cables above to launch yourself into a swift glide. Be sure to double tap the in order to give yourself an accelerated boost. As you approach the next set of cables, keep firing your Grapnel Gun with the boost to remain gliding in the air. This can get a little tricky, especially near the mid section of the bridge, so utilize the video below to help visualize when to use the Grapnel Gun appropriately.

Around the World10
Use the Batwing to travel to all Fast Travel points (7)

Before you can access all the Fast Travel points around Gotham, you must first destroy the jamming signals in the radio towers in each of the districts. The first jamming signal will be taken cared of throughout story progression in the beginning of the game.

After destroying that signal, your map will then become populated with red radio tower icons in each district. At any point during the game, you can now make your way to those radio towers and destroy the jamming signals on them. Once you have done that, you can now access the fast travel points on the world map:

  • Amusement Mile [Requires Glue Grenade]
  • Batcave
  • Burnley
  • Diamond District [Requires Shock Gloves]
  • Coventry
  • Industrial Mile
  • Park Row
  • The Bowery

Once you have traveled to each of the eight districts at least once through their fast travel points, the achievement will finally unlock.

Flawless Display10
Successfully battle Shiva without taking any damage (29)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

Shiva is one of the eight assassins that has been tasked in hunting down Batman. After you complete the mission inside the Gotham Merchants Bank, you will exit into the alleyways of the Bowery district. Further down the alley, you will hear a baby crying. Make your way to the sound and inspect the strange carriage there to begin Shiva’s side quest.

You will now have to complete a strange “test” for Shiva. Once you have completed everything, meet her in Sheldon Park – which will be marked on your world map. Here, you will need to fight her and her assassins while making sure not take any damage.

If you have played the previous Arkham titles, you will already know that a great tactic for finishing a fight unscathed would be to constantly jump over the heads of all your enemies after getting in a single hit or two on them. Either way, just make sure you counter attacks when necessary and jump often in order to avoid taking damage. If for whatever reason you get hit during this fight, simply pause your game and select "Restart" in order to retry the fight with Shiva.

Point Counter-Point10
Complete Deathstroke without failing a single counter (62)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

Early on in the story, you will need to fight against Deathstroke while aboard Penguin's ship, The Final Offer. Deathstroke is much more agile and aggressive than regular enemies, so be prepared for a mildly difficult encounter. There are three "phases" to this fight and each phase becomes progressively more troublesome in terms of countering his moves. You can chose to play it safe by simply just countering his attacks during the entire fight, or try to be quick and aggressive by getting in some punches after each counter.

During the first phase, he performs the same two animations with his staff so be ready to counter these attacks by tapping the at the appropriate time. If you tap it too early or late, or hold it down as he attacks, you will get hit and void the achievement. If this does happen at any time during the fight, just pause your game and select "Restart" in order to begin the fight again.

Once you have knocked off two bars from his health meter, there will be a short animation requiring further counters and beatdowns through QTEs. After this sequence, which initiates the second phase, he will perform different attack animations which will require you to counter his moves twice now. After breaking his staff and entering the third and final phase of this fight, his attacks will require you to counter three times now, so be extra alert when he lunges at you with his sword.

This entire fight will only take about 4 minutes, but keep in mind that it may take several attempts before doing it perfectly. Either way, once you have reduced his health bar to a mere two bars, a cutscene will begin and the achievement will unlock.

One of Each30
Use every Freeflow Focus gadget in one combo (10)

This achievement can prove to be quite tricky to those who are not fully comfortable or experienced with the combat system in the game. To begin, you must unlock all of Batman’s Freeflow Focus gadgets before even attempting this. Once they are all unlocked, head into any of the easier Combat Challenge Maps and start building your combo up. Once you have a combo of about 3 or 4 hits, begin utilizing all of Batman’s gadgets all while making sure your combo does not break.

This may take several attempts before the achievement unlocks, but the more you practice, the easier it will be. Below, you can find a list of all the necessary gadgets needed for this achievement:

  • Batclaw Slam: +,
  • Explosive Gel: +
  • Concussion Detonator: +
  • Glue Grenade: ,
  • Batarang:

Air Marathon10
Glide 26 miles total (6)

This achievement will come naturally as you progress through the main storyline and work on the various side missions available. As a general reminder, make sure to glide around Gotham when going to your next objective, instead of using the fast travel points.

You will most likely unlock this achievement very early on in the game since some of the earliest story missions require you to glide around Northern Gotham countless times in order to track down the Penguin's location. Another great mission that will net you some more miles towards the achievement is Anarky's Most Wanted mission. As soon as you leave Penguin's ship, talk to Anarky's follower on the catwalks and you will need to glide back and forth around New Gotham and Old Gotham when disabling the three bombs. Since the bombs are so far away from each other and you will find yourself going back and forth down the Pioneers Bridge, the achievement will most likely unlock at this time. If not, keep gliding around during your playthrough, and you will obtain it in no time.

Medalist40
Obtain all medals on the original Ranked Maps in Challenge mode (as Batman) (1)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

The Ranked Challenge Maps consist of 12 Combat Challenge Maps and 12 Predator Challenge Maps. These challenges will unlock via story progression, but in order to unlock each Challenge’s “Extreme” variant, you will need to complete the Campaign Challenges Maps. In order to earn this achievement, you must obtain all three medals per Challenge Map in a single run. In Combat Challenges, medals are awarded based on score values. You will need to string together your hits and achieve a large combo and variation bonus in each of the four waves in order to earn the required amount of points for all three medals. If you have played the previous Arkham titles, Combat Challenges should not be too troubling.

Predator Challenges on the other hand, vary drastically, as each Challenge Map will task you with completing three different requirements in terms of taking out goons using certain gadgets or techniques. As always, all three requirements must be performed in a single attempt of the Challenge Map, which can prove to be very difficult at times when working on the Extreme variants of each Map.

Since certain abilities and gadgets are needed for some of the medals in the Predator Challenges, it's highly recommended to complete the story first and purchase all of Batman's upgrades. Also, take note that you will need to complete Rank 10 of the Worst Nightmare track in the Story Mode in order to unlock the Sonic Shock Batarang. This upgrade is essential for some of the Extreme Predator Maps.

Once you have obtained all 72 medals in the Ranked Challenge Maps, the achievement will finally unlock. You can utilize THIS PLAYLIST in order to view PowerPyx’s extremely helpful videos for all 12 Predator Challenge Maps.

Olympian40
Obtain all medals on the original Campaign maps in Challenge mode (as Batman)

WARNING: MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

These Campaign Challenge Maps are a combination of the previous Combat and Predator Challenge Maps. Each Campaign Map will contain three Challenge Maps, be it 2 Combat and 1 Predator, 3 Combat, or even 3 Extreme Predator Maps. All of the medals remain the same from each map, which makes each Campaign Map have a total of 9 medals. You have the ability to retry up to three times if you fail, but you will ultimately still need to obtain all nine medals in one run.

These Campaign Maps also have a set of mutators and modifiers that will alter the gameplay depending on whether it is a Combat or Predator Map. Each modifier must be used at least once during the entire Challenge. You can use up to three in a single section, so if you feel as though you want to knock out some of the modifiers on a map you're comfortable with, this will help you in the long run on the other two maps.

Overall, once you have obtained all 108 medals in the Campaign Challenge Maps, the achievement will finally unlock.

Voice of the People15
Scan 20 Anarky Tags (5)

There are a total of 24 Anarky Tags that can be found around Gotham City. For this achievement, you will only have to find and scan 20 of them however. These Anarky Tags are not marked on the map like other collectibles, so you will need to keep your eyes peeled as you are gliding around Gotham. Take note, that they only appear while in detective mode.

Either way, once you have located a Tag, scan it in detective mode by holding the button. Scanning each tag will net 5000XP, which will prove to be extremely beneficial in leveling up in the Story Mode. Refer to the video below in order to find all of the Tags around Gotham with ease.

Clean Streets40
Complete all Most Wanted missions (8)

There are 9 Most Wanted missions to complete during the course of the Story Mode. Each mission is related to a specific villain that you will meet through the events of the main storyline or a particular side mission. Some of these Most Wanted missions are as easy as tracking down the villain and defeating them, while others require you to complete a few objectives before finally confronting them. Below, you can see a list of all the Most Wanted missions and the requirements for each before finally confronting the villain.

  • Nigma [Collect all Engima Items and destroy all Network Relays in Gotham]
  • Anarky [Disable all 3 bombs in Gotham]
  • Penguin [Disable all 6 weapon crates in Gotham]
  • Deadshot [Solve the Helicopter Crash crime scene]
  • Mad Hatter [Save Alice inside Hatter's shop]
  • Bird [Stop all three gang wars in Gotham]
  • Blackgate Escapees [Apprehend all 20 escapees - Available after all Crime Scenes are complete]
  • Shiva [Complete Shiva's "test"]
  • Black Mask [Destroy all 6 drug stashes in Gotham]

As mentioned above, most of these Most Wanted missions will become available through natural story progression. Deadshot and Shiva's are unique, however. You will have to go out of your way to trigger their missions. For Deadshot, make sure you inspect the S.O.S. signal in the Bowery district in order to initiate the Helicopter Crash crime scene investigation. Shiva's can be started much earlier, when you complete the story mission inside Gotham Merchants Bank. After exiting the bank and taking out the guards in front of you, proceed down the alley and inspect the crying baby inside the stroller to meet Shiva.

Give Them Something to Believe50
Complete New Game Plus (4)

After you complete the Story on either Normal or Hard, you will unlock New Game+ in the Main Menu. This "mode" is essentially the same as your first playthrough with a few minor adjustments. Primarily, and most importantly, any upgrades you purchased on your first playthrough will be available right from the beginning of your New Game+ playthrough. This will prove to be beneficial as the earlier encounters in the game can be completed much quicker with your advanced gadgetry and skill set.

Another difference in this mode is that is that the counter indicator that appears in combat does not show up anymore. You will need to time your counters perfectly and be fully alert while in combat. Furthermore, the enemies you encounter will be much more aggressive. Simple unarmed goons will now be replaced with armored thugs and other high-leveled enemies.

Overall, this playthrough shouldn't be too troublesome if you remain alert in combat and preserve through the more difficult sections of the story mode. The great thing about this achievement is that you will not have to worry about any side missions, thus reducing the amount of time you spend on this playthrough significantly. Remember, you start out with all your previous upgrades - minus story-related gadgets - so good luck and play carefully!

Predator Paragon25
Take down 6 different Elites in a match, using 6 different methods as Batman or Robin in multiplayer (218)

Take note that from here, all the Multiplayer achievements below, including this one, can be done in a Private Lobby. If you do in fact use plan on obtaining any of the achievement in a Private Match, you will need at least three players to start. Public Matches on the other hand can only begin with a full lobby of eight players.

For this achievement, you will need to be in a full, eight player lobby and be playing as part of the Heroes faction. Assuming you are boosting, communicate with your boosting partners in order to meet up in a specific part of the map. I highly recommend meeting at the middle control point on the Chemical Plant map, as the environment here allows for six different takedowns easily. Below, you can see a list of the different types of takedowns you can utilize for this achievement:

  • Corner Takedown
  • Grate Takedown
  • Ground Pound Takedown
  • Hanging Ledge Takedown
  • Inverted Takedown
  • Ledge Takedown
  • Silent Takedown

Remember, you need to take out all six Elites in the match using a different takedown on each player. Once you have successfully done this, the achievement will unlock right away.

Killing Joke15
Reach max level with the Joker faction in multiplayer (11)

Please refer to "Gotham All-Star" for more information.

Fallen Knight15
Reach max level with the Bane faction in multiplayer (14)

Please refer to "Gotham All-Star" for more information.

Gotham All-Star20
Reach max overall level in multiplayer (29)

The max overall level in Multiplayer is Level 30. In order to reach this rank, you will need to reach Level 30 with both Elite factions, which will earn you an overall level of about 27 or 28. You will have to earn the remaining two or three overall levels by playing as the Heroes and gaining XP with them.

As an Elite, you will earn XP by killing the enemies on the opposing team, taking out the Heroes, and capturing control points. On the other hand, Heroes earn XP by simply placing scramblers on the control points and taking out the Elites with different takedowns. Keep in mind that you will automatically earn 1000 XP for winning the match and 500 XP if you lose the match.

If you can grab up to two boosting partners, it's highly recommended to set up a Private Lobby and utilize the boosting methods found in THIS THREAD in order to obtain all three achievements in about six to seven hours.

Clutch15
Kill a Hero to bring back your entire gang when at 0 reinforcements on a full multiplayer server (42)

This is best done if boosted in a full, eight player Private Match. When the game begins, have the three players on Joker's Gang capture all three control points in order to start draining the reinforcements from Bane's Gang. In addition to this, have the players on Joker's Gang begin killing Bane's thugs to speed up their reinforcement loss.

Once Bane's Gang has run out of reinforcements, the players on Joker's Gang need to kill all but one Bane thug. Now, the last man standing must kill either Batman or Robin in order to bring their two teammates back to life and unlock the achievement. If there is enough time in the match, quickly repeat this last step for the other two players on Bane's Gang.

Tales of Gotham25
Win a round of each map with each faction in multiplayer (43)

There are only four maps in Multiplayer, all of which can be chosen by hand if you are hosting a Private Match. They are:

  • Wayne Chemical Plant
  • Blackgate Prison
  • Joker’s Funhouse
  • Wonder City Robot Factory

Simply win a single match on all four of these maps as each of the different factions in the game: Heroes (Batman/Robin), Joker’s Gang, and Bane’s Gang. The achievement will unlock at the post-match stats menu once you have achieved your final victory.

I Like Those Odds25
As a Hero, defeat 4 Elites within 40 seconds without using melee in multiplayer (89)

This is best done if boosted in a Private Match with at least five other players. While playing as either of the Heroes, meet up with four different Elites anywhere on the map. The middle control point is usually a good central meeting point. From here, equip your Explosive Gel and spray it on the ground so that the four Elites can stand around it. Detonate the Gel with the to kill the Elites and unlock the achievement.

Not An Ordinary Criminal15
As an Elite, earn 4000 XP in a single multiplayer match (7)

This achievement can only be obtained if you are playing on Bane’s Gang or Joker’s Gang, however it will be much easier if you are on Bane's team. Make sure you edit your loadout for Bane's faction in the Multiplayer Main Menu and equip the Tactical Darts.

The best way to get easy XP, other than capturing control points, is to use your Tactical Darts to shock either the players on Joker's Gang or the Heroes. You will get around 250XP per shock and 150XP per control point capture. Remember, you will also earn 1000XP if you win the match and 500XP if you lose. With this in mind, this achievement will be extremely easy in obtaining whether you are playing legitimately or boosting with other players. The achievement will unlock at the end of the match, so don't be confused if it doesn't pop mid-game.

Arsenal, Awesome20
Fully upgrade a weapon in multiplayer (4)

The first weapon in your loadout for any of the Elite factions will be a submachine gun. Simply leave that weapon in your loadout and do not swap it out for anything else until you've unlocked this achievement. Over the course of your playtime online, your weapon will slowly gain XP in it’s own ranking category based on the amount of kills you get with it. Even if you have not used it during the match, you will still gain some weapon XP regardless. Once the weapon reaches Level 9, the achievement will unlock.

Legend50
Earn a level of prestige in multiplayer (35)

After reaching the maximum overall level (Level 30) and getting both Elite factions to Level 30 as well, you will now be able to enter a level of prestige. Go to the character loadout screen in the Multiplayer Main Menu and you will now see an option to prestige. Select this and the achievement will unlock at the cost of all your faction and weapon progress being reset.

Know Thy Enemy25
Defeat each of the enemy players at least once in a multiplayer match (10)

This MUST be done in a full, eight player match and will unlock naturally be stacked when working on "Predator Paragon" in a boosting session. Simply communicate with your boosting party and make sure you kill everyone in the match at least once. This achievement will unlock at the end of the match when the post-match stats menu pops up.

I Am The Night70
Finish I Am The Night Mode (40)

I Am The Night Mode will unlock after you have completed your New Game+ playthrough. Almost everything detailed in the New Game+ achievement applies to IATN Mode, which includes the removal of the counter indicator in combat and an upgrade in all enemy types.

The catch of this new mode however, is that you can not die AT ALL during this playthrough, for you will only have one life. If you are unfortunate enough to die at any time during the game, you will be reverted back to the Main Menu. The game will still have autosaved enabled, so don't worry about having to complete this playthrough in a single sitting. This is a nice reminder to fall back on when you are approaching a difficult section of the game and want to quit out of the Story or shut your console off.

A great tip to utilize during this playthrough - although a bit complicated - would be to grab a USB device and plug it into one of the ports of your Xbox. Now, when you reach a certain checkpoint or part of the game where you think you may die due to an upcoming boss battle or enemy encounter, you can quit to the Main Menu and then go to the Xbox dashboard. Now head over to the dashboard's System Settings and into your Memory hub. Copy your autosave file which is the "Hard File" onto your USB device. This acts a failsafe in case you die next time you boot up the game and try progressing through the story. Now head back into the game, and if you do end up dying at any point, simply go to the dashboard and reboot the game. At the Main Menu, when it asks you to select a storage device, choose your USB and you will resume the game at your copied autosave file.

This method might sound a bit complicated, and it's not entirely necessary either. An alternate, and much simpler method, would be to pause your game right before you're about to die or if Batman is in the slow motion death animation (before the black screen appears) and just quit out to the Main Menu. When you boot the game back up, you will continue from your last autosave.

Whichever way you decide to tackle this playthrough, just remember to be alert and quit out of the game IMMEDIATELY if you think you're about to die. Good luck, folks!

DLC: Initiation
Cost: $6.99 USD Achievements: 2 Points: 50

Bruce's Revenge25
Obtain all 72 medals on the original Arkham Origins ranked maps (as Bruce Wayne) (34)

UPDATE: The April 9th Title Update has fixed both DLC achievements and can now be unlocked while playing online.

Bruce Wayne's Ranked challenges are fairly similar to that of Batman's, and are all done on the same exact maps in Challenge mode. Like the previous achievements pertaining to Batman, the Ranked challenges consist of 12 Combat maps and 12 Predator maps. All of them are available from the get-go, which makes choosing extremely simple this time around.

The Combat challenges play nearly identical to Batman's in terms of scoring points based off your combos and variation. The only difference is Bruce Wayne's gadgets and takedowns, so make sure you fully adapt to this character before moving up towards the Extreme variants.

The Predator challenges play extremely different, however. While most of the medals are a very easy, even on the extreme maps, Bruce cannot glide and can only rely on a mere five gadgets: Grapple Hook, Shuriken, Caltrops, Kujiki Bombs, and Smoke Pellets.

The Grapple Hook allows Bruce to grapple from gargoyle to gargoyle and also acts as a "pull kick," similar to Robin's "Zip Kick" from Arkham City. Shurikens are a suitable replacement for Batrangs, while both Caltrops and the Kujiki Bombs act as stun traps. Caltrops cause the enemies to halt in their advances and Kujiki Bombs deliver a mystical purple smoke that daze the enemies and essentially make you vanish. Both gadgets are perfect for leaving enemies vulnerable to swift takedowns. Lastly, Smoke Pellets are an unchanged gadget and serve the same function as always.

Remember, all three medals in both the Combat and Predator challenges must be completed in a single attempt. Once you have obtained all 72 medals in the Original Ranked challenge maps, the achievement will unlock.

Campaign Ninja25
Obtain all 108 medals on the original Arkham Origins campaigns (as Bruce Wayne) (4)

UPDATE: The April 9th Title Update has fixed both DLC achievements and can now be unlocked while playing online.

Bruce Wayne's Campaign challenges are fairly similar to that of Batman's, and are all done on the same exact maps in Challenge mode. Like the previous achievements pertaining to Batman, there are 12 Campaign challenges and they are all available from the start.

Remember, these Campaign challenge maps are a combination of the Ranked Combat and Ranked Predator challenges. Each Campaign features a unique mix of three Ranked challenges, thus forcing you to botain all 9 medals in a single run.

Fortunately, you have up to three retries during each Campaign. Also, mutators and modifiers make their return, so carefully experiment with each in order to decide which is most suitable for a specific challenge. Once you have obtained all 108 medals in the Original Campaign challenge maps, the achievement will unlock.

DLC: Cold, Cold Heart
Cost: $9.99 USD Achievements: 10 Points: 250

Paint the Town Red30
Find all Activist tags (4)

The Activist tag collectibles return in this DLC. Scattered about the Coventry and Diamond Districts, there are a total of 12 Activist tags that must be found and scanned using your detective vision ().

Unlike other "collectible-related" achievements in this DLC, they do not appear on your world map. Therefore, you will need to either follow the video below, or have your detective vision on while gliding around Gotham. The latter option is rather insipid, so following the video is your best choice in getting this achievement done quickly.

NOTE:
Some players have reported that the 12th Activist tag in the video becomes unobtainable post-game due to a glitch where the garage door will not be open. While some reports have stated that restarting your game from the last checkpoint (via the pause menu) fixes the glitched door, it is best to just get these collectibles done before returning to GothCorp with the Cryodrill.

Regardless, once all 12 Activist tags have been scanned, the achievement will finally unlock.

Secret Achievements
Master Wayne30
Take no damage when playing as Bruce Wayne (3)

The very first section of the game has you playing as Bruce Wayne for a short time. After the introductory cutscene, you will come into a hallway with four enemies. You will automatically take one out through a short QTE by pressing the  button. The other three guards can be dispatched very easily. At this point in the game, you should be comfortable and proficient with the combat system.

The next section is the library and it houses four enemies as well. The first guard can be taken out with a quick silent knockout by tapping the  button while positioned behind him. Then, the next two guards are just ahead on a raised platform in the center of the room. Inch up behind them to perform a double takedown. The last guard is at the end of the room directly in front of you. If you wait long enough behind some cover, he will eventually move away from the door. Close in on him and knockout him out in order to proceed into the Wine Cellar through the door he was guarding.

After moving down the hallway and into the Wine Cellar, climb the ladder to your left and get on top of the wooden rafters. From here, you can pounce attack any of the guards below by pressing  when the blue bat symbol appears over their head. There are a total of five enemies in this area that must be taken out.

Once this last batch of enemies is no longer threat, proceed into the Tasting Room and into the secret tunnels via the statue. Once you arrive into the Batcave, approach the suit chamber and interact with the console. The achievement will unlock during the ensuing cutscene if you have successfully not taken any damage while playing as Bruce Wayne.

NOTE:
If at any time, while playing as Bruce, you get hit, you can reload the checkpoint and this will not void the achievement.

Let it Snow20
Receive the Extreme Environment Suit (XE Suit)

Story-related, cannot be missed.

You will eventually be tasked with visiting the "My Alibi" nightclub after a brief encounter with the Penguin and Mr. Freeze inside GothCorp. Once you arrive at the club, defeat all the goons outside and then Alfred will deliver the XE Suit via a Batwing drop. After you equip the suit, the achievement will unlock.

Drilling for Justice20
Assemble the cryonucleation tunneller - the cyodrill (1)

Story-related, cannot be missed.

This achievement will unlock after you retrieve both parts to the Cryodrill. The first piece is located in the Coventry district on a rooftop that is infested with a group of armed guards. The second piece of the Cryodrill is located in the garage of the hotel in the bottom right corner of the Diamond District. Once both parts are retrieved, the achievement will unlock right away.

For Auld Lang Syne40
Stop Freeze and bring Boyle to justice

Story-related, cannot be missed.

This achievement will unlock after the lengthly, yet satisfying boss fight against Mr. Freeze inside the heart of GothCorp.

Breaking the Ice25
Free all the civilians frozen in cryogenic ice (5)

There are a total of 20 civilians that must be saved from their cryogenic entrapment. Do take note however, that you will not be able to break the ice that surrounds them until you have retrieved the XE Suit later on in the story.

Thus, if you see any civilians trapped in ice before getting your new suit, be sure to approach them. Getting close enough will mark the civilian's location on your world map with a small, frozen head symbol. Batman's detective vision also picks up the civilians from very far away, so gliding around Gotham with your detective vision active will help you spot them.

Once you have retrieved the XE Suit, you can return to all of the civilians and free them by breaking the ice with the Suit's thermal-heated gloves. Remember, you can track your progress for this achievement by referring to the Collectibles Progress Bar on the bottom left of the world map. Likewise, the breakdown of each civilian's location is as follows:

  • My Alibi- 3
  • GothCorp - 7
  • Coventry - 6
  • Diamond District - 4

Additionally, you can use the video below as an aid in tracking down all 20 civilians.

Down with the Revolution25
Stop Anarky thug operations in South Gotham (6)

There are a total of 4 thug operations that must be stopped throughout Southern Gotham. They will appear as small “Batarang” symbols on your world map once they become available.

The first 3 thug operations are located right in the Coventry district. This is the first district you arrive in after leaving Wayne Manor, so it’s best to get these done right away. All that is required is to reach the area and defeat the goons. One of these operations does have a bomb that must be defused, however, so be ready to disarm it. The final thug operation is located in the Diamond District, but will not become available until after you have retrieved the XE Suit.

Either way, the last operation will require you to hack an Anarky transmission with your Sequencer and then find an active bomb hidden within the district. The bomb is located on the top of the “Soder Cola” building. After you defuse this bomb, you will unlock the achievement and also unlock the quickfire thermal batarang technique.

Snowjob20
Get 3 enemies frozen in one attack (2)

After re-entering the Ballroom inside Wayne Manor, you will notice there are two goons wielding cryogenic weaponry and a handful of standard goons around the center of the room. Drop down into the middle of the group and start jumping over their heads. Since the cryogenic wielding goons are at the far ends of the room, they will sweep their weapons side to side in an attempt to hit you as you jump over enemy heads. Surely enough, in the process of trying to hit you, they will freeze three to four of their allies and thus, the achievement will unlock. You can follow the video below for further guidance if necessary.

Stalact-tactician20
Takedown 2 enemies with one stalactite (3)

The earliest you can get this achievement is right after receiving the XE Suit. When you enter My Alibi, proceed down the steps and into the wrapping hallway until you get to the railing that overlooks the main floor. Batman will spot a large icicle on the ceiling and mention the use of the thermal-charged batarangs.

Equip this new gadget by pressing  and aim it at the icicle. Once it is fully charged, throw it at the icicle. Since there are already two enemies underneath the stalactite, they will be immediately knocked out once it falls on them, thus unlocking the achievement.

Come Out of the Cold20
Perform 3 ice wall takedowns (2)

The earliest you can begin working on this achievement is when you revisit the GothCorp building with the XE Suit. At this time, your mission objective will read, "Use the Cryodrill on the ice barrier in the propellant lab." Once you enter the Organics Research Lab inside the GothCorp building, disable both of the switches inside the greenhouses and then hack the control pad in the center of the room to clear the cryovapor. After doing this, a group of about five armed goons will storm the room.

Now, on the bottom floor of this room, you will notice through your detective vision that there are two "ice walls," which are very similar to the "weakened wooden walls" from the main game. You're going to need to break the ice on one of the vents on the bottom floor to get behind the ice walls. Once you're in position, just wait unit a henchman walks near the wall, then tap  to perform an ice wall takedown. Make sure to get two ice wall takedowns done in this room. Throwing a sonic batarang in front of an ice wall will help lure the goons in as well.

As for the final takedown, you can perform it upon Mr. Freeze during the last fight of the DLC. This room has plenty of ice walls to utilize. Once you have successfully performed three ice wall takedowns, the achievement will unlock.

NOTE:
This achievement is essentially missable if you do not perform the three ice wall takedowns between the Organics Research Lab and the final room with Mr. Freeze. There are no ice walls around Souther Gotham post-game to get this achievement done.
