Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 Achievements

Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Demonstrate your skill, or lack thereof, at rolling the magical treasure orb of many sides

You'll find loot chests with two 20 sided dice on top in various places on the maps. You can roll one or two die (depending on if you want to spend eridium or not) to try and get better loot. The higher the roll, the higher the quality/rarity of the loot spawned inside. The highest die is used to determine quality of loot. The first dice chest can be found in the northeast part of the Unassuming Docks near the broken temple looking area (The Forlorn Ruins) down on the waters edge. The highest die must be either a 1 or a 20 to pop the achievement. If you don't pop the achievement by the end of the main story, once you defeat the Raid Boss (see Make it Raaaaaid for more info) you will gain access to another 53 of these chests right there.

Easter Egg for 3 more chests: After defeating the raid bosses when you're going through opening all the other 53 chests, there is a balcony (furthest south center of map) with 3 breaks in the chain railing and a lot of rakk looking creatures flying in the background. If you stand on the balcony watching them long enough a short but epic battle will be waged in the background and then 3 more chests will rise out of nothing filling the blank spaces in the chain railing. Probably more worth it for the epic battle than the loot chests. (thanks to DustyTheHampster for the heads up on this)

Love the title of this achievement. Almost 'Easter Egg' like with the Limp Bizkit reference to one of their bigger songs 'Rollin'' of the DLC seems great too!

It is a reference to when you open some treasure chests, you can roll 1 20-sided die for free, or 2 20-sided die for 5 eridium. The better the roll, the better the gear. I got a 19 on a 1 die roll, and got purple equipment.

I think that is more of a reference to the Clint Eastwood TV show Rawhide whose title song used those lyrics.

Do you just have to roll the dice on the treasure chest for the achievement? Because I have done that twice now and I never got the achievement.

You need to get a Vault symbol (20) on one of the dice for the achievement to pop.

There's 49 (or more, I may have missed some) of these chests scattered around the raid boss map after you kill the four dragons, more than enough chances to get the achievement if you haven't already.

So I watched three youtube videos about this, they all mentioned you need a red 20. I got a red 20 on the chest you drop down to in the Dragon Keep area and did not get the achievement. What gives?!

I did a single run through The Winged Storm after defeating the dragons, got three red 20's and no achievement.

I think the achievement name being a reference to Rawhide makes a hell of a lot more sense then Dick Limpkit's dumb ass song does. Seeing as Gearbox is from Texas it makes more sense that it would be a reference to a western then some retarded white trash wannabe dipshit song. I'm pretty sure nobody from Texas would ever reference a crap-rock song. Dick Limpkit has to be one of THE worst bands ever. Fred Dunce is such a fake poser bitch. Where exactly do you think that Dick Limpkit got it from, Rawhide. The do not have a single original bone in their bodies. Almost every lyric (and I struggle to even call then lyrics) is stolen from somewhere. Just google any of their lyrics and you will get a reference to something else. To the guy posting 3 times in a row going "WTF? no achievement. blah

I'm having the same problem as said above, I rolled one die and got a 20, then failed to get the achievement, no idea why? Perhaps you must roll two?

If 53 chests from the raid boss plus the extra three from the easter egg didn't get give you the achievement, I've discovered another extra two in the same area. If you're facing the direction of the battle easter egg, head to the left corner and make a 90 degree turn. Walk to the very end until you hit another railing. Turn right and you should see two crossing platforms. Jump over the railing onto the platforms and continue forward. It should lead you to a rooftop with stairs that lead up to a giant fire pit. Right behind the fire you can drop down to another balcony. Head right and the two chests will be right against the wall.
