I tried the carnival for over an hour, then I decided to go squat behind the bumper cars in the grass. I planted lots of claymores and threw all of my c4 and sat there sniping any enemies running towards me. The hardest part was getting to McMillan and to the helicopter in one piece. If I would have thought about that in the first place, I would've had more time to plant claymores in better spots around the bumper cars and I wouldn't have had to waste all of my c4 at once. As soon as the pilot says to get your ass on board, throw a smoke bomb and run to McMillan but before you pick him up throw another to your left and one in front of you. Pick him up and haul ass.

I breezed through this whole game... except the damned helo wait. Have the whole game done on hardened except that level. Once I found my way on regular, I think veteran will be easier noe.

I found a spot that is pretty good it is just behind the bumper cars stage next to a fence. What makes this spot good is that you can look thourgh and snipe anyone that gets thourgh but enemies try to go round to flank you so use C4 to stop them

I found that once you drop Mac. Take your claymores and set them infront of you, one by each car for a bigger explosion, and to the right, behind the ferris wheel, between the wheel and the fence, then toss the C4 on the back fence line where all the troops line up, go back to Mac. Look for a tree and hide behind it with a sniper and a machine gun, Pick off as many men from distance, then switch to Machine gun and let Mac. and your claymores do the work. Claymore placement is key. Using them to make car bombs is great for taking out groups. did this last night in half hour or so.

Also there is a thing at the bottom under the compass telling you how close the helicopter is if you're wondering how long it will take for it to arrive. You only got 30 seconds to get you and Mac to the heli so start getting to him when the heli is about 500 meters away.

Ok I found 2 easy ways to do One Shot One Kill. The first is to keep running back and forth along the far side of the bumper cars taking out anyone you can and the 2nd is to run out the white fence and take the sidewalk to the right and camp at the corner and knife anyone who comes around the corner, I only had 2 guys come around the corn

before selling my copy of this game i figured i'd try and complete it achievement wise. Howver, i can say that this is the HARDEST achievement i have EVER done. All ghillied up is fairly easy as #16 said but One shot one kill at the very end where you have to fend off the enemy and then get McMillan to safety in the chopper within 30 seconds is so ridiculously hard...still to this day i have been unable to do it, i move out of cover by 1mm and i get my head blown off as there are too many enemies or i move more than 2mm and then i get blow up by 55 frag grenades. i take my hat off to anyone who has done this achievement!

There's an INCREDIBLY EASY way to do this. Once you've put him down in his spot, he'll tell you he's igniting the signal for the chopper. Set you claymores down as usual, and then walk BEHIND the swimming complex. There's a grassy area behind it, with a wall for cover. Sit there prone until the chopper arrives. You'll get the occasion attacker (usually 2 of 3 come at once) but you merely need to gun them down from medium range, you barely get hit.
However, start making your way towards MacMillan when you chopper is just about to land, 100m or so. Because once it's landed, you've got limited time to be evacuated. The marines and MacMillan will take care of most of the enemies, so all you need to do is get him into the chopper in time. (They shout 30 seconds once it has landed.)

BOOOM!!!! GOT IT!!! Do exactly what #10 says... You need to face the wall if you face looking out the door to shoot the enemy you will get killed by 1 of the grenades, dont worry no enemy ever looks in so just sit tight & stare at the wall ????????????

Oh my lord this is the worst. I was actually so close to crying this is so frustrating!! I've finally hit a checkpoint before the enemy helicopters come and drop like 30 guys off, who I can sometimes shoot down from the ropes. But I think I'm going to just hide. I actually got so far that the guys rescuing us were there and I ran to pick him up but I took too long. I am so mad at myself haha I didn't realize it was actually timed! Fuck!

I didn't have much problems with this.. I like these levels. I only had problems with 'No fighting in the Warroom' -veteran level, completing the prologue training in less than 20 secs and the Mile High Club veteran. This is a very good game but from all 3 Modern Warfares the most difficult in my opinion. MW3 was okay.. MW2 was a cakewalk and MW1 was.. okay.. fuck! :P

Hide in the toll booth on the far right, then go prone with your back facing your attackers. So you are able to just see a sliver through the door. At this point you can put your controller downand try to relax, because if a granade lands in there with you GOOD LUCK getting it out. A granade will land in there every 3 or 4 tries but hang in there and watch your compass. Remember when the helo arives it is NOT a check point so run like hell!

I was really dreading this part after reading about the difficulty.
I just stayed prone in the left-most toll booth facing the door ready to shoot anyone that comes in and to throw back grenades.
I only had one guy come in and try to kill me and i threw back 5-6 grenades.
I tried the other methods people mentioned but was unsuccessful but I did it first time with my method :D
