Introduction:
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the 9th game in the Call of Duty franchise, the fourth game developed by Treyarch, and the sequel to 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game consists of a campaign that goes between the 1980s and 2025 along with a new mission type called Strike Force in which you control a group of soldiers trying to hold or take an objective. You play as Alex Mason, David Mason, and Frank Woods throughout normal campaign missions. The game has a complex multiplayer with some easy achievements thrown in. Zombies is the fourth game type which is a horde survival where you try to survive as long as you can. You will be trying to get weapons and perks to survive as long as possible.
Step One - Campaign:
The campaign is the first big step towards completion. There are 11 levels in the game and you must pick up all intel and complete the game on Veteran. Veteran is the hardest difficulty but with persistence you should be able to complete the game. For Veteran tips, see "Black Ops II Master" Each campaign mission also has 10 challenges you must complete for an achievement. This will most likely be the most time consuming part of the completion. Challenges may cause you to play through certain levels a few extra times however. Especially due to some of them being tricky and/or easily missable. See "Giant Accomplishement" for tips or simply refer to the lists/guides posted by E vee dub or NakedAssassin.

Guide
https://www.xboxachievements.com/f...d.php?t=401176
Note before starting. Play through the campaign your first time on Veteran and follow the guidelines outlined in the "Showdown" achievement (see below). Do not do any of the Strike Force missions in this playthrough as they are extremely difficult on Veteran. Once you've completed the campaign, rewind back to Mission 3 (as the first Strike Mission appears after that campaign mission), switch the difficulty to Recruit and replay missions 3 through 9, as well as completing all the Strike Force missions (for "Ship Shape"; follow the guidelines outlined in "Good Karma" below for this playthrough).
The reason for doing Veteran first is that while you can decrease your difficulty with rewinds, you cannot increase it. So, if you did your first playthrough on Recruit then rewound the back to Mission 3, you would not be able to increase your difficulty to Veteran.
Step Two - Strike Force:
While playing the campaign, you have the option to do Strike Force Missions. They are only available for a certain amount of time. Once you complete say the next two missions you are unable to complete that Strike Force Mission. There is an achievement for all Strike Force missions and it is advised that you just play them on Recruit or Regular on your first run through the game. They are extremely difficult on Hardened or Veteran but do not have to be completed on those difficulties. You may not get the desired end of the game outcome (So and so survives while so and so dies) but you will pick up a nice amount of gamerscore. There are 5 in total.
Step Three - Multiplayer:
The most time consuming part of the game is multiplayer. You need to get to max level and prestige which should take around 15-20 hours of game time. You also have to play combat training until level 10 and do some specific game types.
Step Four - Zombies:
Zombies is a round based horde game time. There are a certain number of zombies per wave and guns on the wall. There are several achievements to do specific things on each map, but by playing on the map Tranzit you should be able to access all parts of the map.
For newer Zombies players, I suggest trying to learn the basics before trying for the more difficult achievements. How to maximize points at an early round, conserve ammo, perk-a-cola locations, and how to run zombie trains. These are the more basic fundamentals of Zombies that you will need to unlock each achievement.
Here is a basic guide for important basics of the map.
Turbine
This is perhaps the most important part of the entire map. The turbine allows you to open doors that need power, including activating the PaP machine. There are three parts that you need to bring to the work bench.
- Fan - From where you start, it is on the bench by the white door.
- Manikin - From where you start, is will be against the board in the middle of the room.
- Plane - From where you start, go all the way to the left then at the floor by the pay phones.
Bus
The bus is the easiest method of transportation. You can still run from location to location but it is much easier to ride the bus. It takes 7 minutes to run a full cycle. You can upgrade the bus and all parts are found under the "Party Bus" achievement (see below). Upgrades make the bus more zombie resistant and access to the roof. You do have to repair the boards on the windows when zombies attack so it is advised to keep one zombie alive. DO NOT MAKE IT A CRAWLER. The crawler will die when you leave the area.
Power
Go to the third stop (Power Area). Open the door to the shed for 750 points and jump down. You will need to find three pieces to turn it on. They vary in locations.
- Zombie Arm - The lever will be somewhere on the floor. Usually around the generator. Look around to find it.
- Power Box - This box can be in several locations are the room. Most commonly next to the boxes on the walkway around the generator.
- Lever - The lever will be in the room with the work bench.
Pack-a-Punch Machine:
For this you need the Turbine. Travel to the power room area and jump down. Place the turbine against the power door directly behind you. Next go to town and open the vault. Throw grenades at the doors and they will open. Do this to both then place a turbine on the power door at the end of the hallway. The room should open and then you have to build the Pack-a-Punch. The parts are scattered around the hallway but are easy to find.
Revolution DLC
Die Rise is the new zombie map. It contains [new items]... Don't expect to unlock all of the achievements at once because like all zombie maps, this one will take a bit of time to get used to. Locations for all of the craftable items for the achievements are listed in the achievement descriptions. All of these can be done solo except for High Maintenance.
All zombie achievements except for High Maintenance can be done on easy! However, Shafted can be a tad glitchy.
How to Turn on the Power
Gather up points in the starting area then go down the elevator. Walk forward and jump to the second building. Walk forward and turn right. Open the double doors for 750 points to the left and the power will be straight ahead.
Galva Knuckles Locations
You can reach the Galva Knuckles by round 1 but you need 750 points to open the doors and 6000 to buy them. They are a one hit kill until round 14 for zombies and nova crawlers. Watch the video for the path.
Galva Knuckles Location
Perks
Throughout the map there are elevators that contain perk machines. They are randomly spawning except for for Quick Revive which will be in the spawn when playing solo. The Pack-a-Punch machine will also be found in a random elevator.
How to Turn on the Power
Turned
Turned is a new game mode where you get to play as a zombie and attack human players. You need four players to start (You and 3 others). If you kill the human player you become the human player. The person who is the human the longest is the winner. Not everyone likes this game mode so unless you do, you should check out the Achievement Trading Thread and find some people to play with.
Conclusion:
If you follow these steps and follow the guide, you should have the full 1000.

Uprising DLC
Introduction
Call of Duty Black Ops II's second DLC titled Uprising has 10 total achievements for 250. Majority of the achievements will be obtained easily however there is as with the past several Treyarch DLCs an easter egg that will take 2 people to obtain.
Craftable Items
There are 12 total items that can be found (13 if you include gas cans). 5 for the airplane, 3 for the Acid Gat Kit, 3 for the Shield, and the Warden's Key. A complex guide can be found here.
https://www.accelerated-ideas.com/new...ane-parts.aspx
See "Acid Drip" for how to build the Acid Gat Machine. Shield locations are as follows.
- Dolley - Outside on the docks by the crates.
- Clamp - Inside the generator room (room at the bottom of the spiral staircase with the computers).
- Jail Cell Door - Along the spiral staircase or in the room at the bottom of the staircase.
A guide for building the plane can be found under "No One Escapes Alive." Three achievements are associated with crafting the plane. "No One Escapes Alive," "Making the Rounds," and "GG Bridge." None of the three are that difficult if you know where the plane parts are and you get some good weapons from the Mystery Box.
Miscellaneous
The rest of the achievements fall under the miscellaneous category. You will need to build the Acid Gat Trap in order to unlock "Acid Drip." You will also need to get the Blundergat but you are given one partially through completing the easter egg. You'll also need to buy the new perk and run around with Brutus. That'll come down to mostly trial and error. You'll get the hang of it fairly easily and this is one of the easiest zombie maps.
Conclusion
Overall this is a very easy 100%. If you learn the map (which you will looking for all of the plane parts) you will be able to unlock everything after a couple tries. You want to turn on as much of the power as early on as possible and use a collectibles guide and everything should be good.
Vengeance DLC
Introduction
Call of Duty Black Ops II's 3rd DLC titled Vengeance has 10 achievements for 250. Majority of these achievements can be obtained with ease with a basic understanding of the map. However there is the easter egg which will require multiple people and a fair amount of time. So be prepared.
Step 1 - Understanding The Giant:
Huckleberry/Leeroy is a giant yokel of a zombie who you let out of his jail cell in the Sheriff's Office. There is a green skull key you must use to let him out. Then you must give him some booze that is sitting on the table. He will always turn 180 degrees from when you give him booze so remember that. He will destroy the barrier preventing you from exiting the room in a drunken rampage then start roaming. Do not shoot him because he will return to his cell and you will need to find a key somewhere else. The Giant is key to getting around the map because he is the only thing that can break certain barriers. Each time you want to break a barrier makes sure you have booze on you. He will follow you so long as you are carrying it. Always give him booze with his back towards the barrier you want destroyed.
The Booze can spawn in his cell or in the saloon. It can also be bought at the cash register for 1,000 points.
The candy spawns in the sweets shop. It can also be bought at the cash register for 1,000 points.
If he is shot he will return to his cell and you will need to find another green skull key.
Skull Key Spawn Locations:
- Left of his cell.
- Judge's bench in courthouse.
- Room in the upstairs of the saloon.
- Bank behind the deposit box.
- By the Pack-a-Punch machine.
Candy is always found in the sweets shop (1 per round) or can be bought at the register for 1,000 points. He will follow whoever is holding it. Give him the candy in these scenarios for the desired result.
- Given candy without any other potential objects will cause him to follow the player and attack zombies.
- Given candy next to a mystery box will cause him to prevent it from rolling a teddy bear.
- Given candy next to a mystery box with a gun in it will cause it to be rerolled.
- Given candy by an empty mystery box spawn will cause him to fetch the box and bring it to that location.
- Given candy next to a work bench will cause him to build one of the remaining buildables at random.
- Given candy next to a Subsurface Resonator without a Turbine will cause him to find the parts for the Turbine and build it.
- Given candy next to a crawler will cause him to pick it up and carry it around.
- Given candy next to a power up will cause him to change it.
- Given candy next to chalk in the gunsmith he will randomly place it in one of the locations.
Step 2 - Miscellaneous Achievements:
Many of these achievements can be obtained easily with a basic understanding of the map. This includes "Ectoplasmic Residue," "I'm Your Huckleberry," "Death From Below," "Candygram," "Awaken the Gazebo," "Revisionist Historian," "FSIRT Against the Wall," and "When the Revolution Comes" which total to 140. Trial and error will net you this without too much trouble and these can be gotten before Round 10.
"Mazed and Confused" will be quite difficult however. You must survive and entire round above round 20 in the maze. See "Mazed and Confused" for more information.
Step 3 - The Easter Egg:
The Easter egg is the most difficult part of this DLC. It will require four people, 1-3 hours, and quite a bit of perfection to get it right. Of course you are going to want to reference "Mined Games" for a thorough breakdown of the Easter egg, but this section will be a brief section with a quick rundown so you get a general understanding before you dive into it.
-
Step 1 - Pre-Game and Tips:
You will want to start a custom game on original difficulty. If you are bringing people into the game who have already gotten the achievement, they must enter after the game has started otherwise they will void the achievement for others. You can simply invite them after the game begins, and they will spawn during the beginning of round two. This has to do with spawning of necessary items. -
Step 2 - Build the Gallows:
You will now need to create the gallows. Provided is a very brief description of what needs to be done coupled by the full walkthrough in "Mined Games."
The four parts are located:- Red Spool of Wire - From the chalk room of the gunsmiths go into the room on the left and look in the left corner.
- The Antenna - On the lower floor of the barn leaning on a post.
- The Battery - In the church behind the alter, on the floor.
- The Glass Bulb - On the second floor of the jail cell, in the room where the mystery box spawns. On a crate just left of the box.
-
Step 3 - Break Red Orbs:
There are four orbs that need to be broken:- The first is in the alleyway to the left of the saloon entrance.
- The second is in the tunnel system (from the second floor of the saloon balcony go up the rails) to the first right from the saloon
- The third is to the left of the church entrance behind a rock
- The last is in the small garden to the left once you exit the other side of the mansion (left of some stairs leading up to a closed door).
-
Step 4 - Obtain the Purple Lantern:
The purple lantern will hover over the graveyard and through the town and teleport every so often. What you’ll want to do is get a well-placed and cooked grenade to explode onto it. -
Step 5 - Powering the Purple Lantern:
You will need to have Leeroy kill around 10 zombies, although it does not have to be 10 different zombies and can actually be the same zombie over and over. -
Step 6 - Place Lantern and Decrypt the Code:
This will require use of a code picture to understand the symbols that will appear and where you must go. -
Step 7 - Guide the Whisp:
This step requires careful coordination and precise planning of all teammates. You will essentially have to stick with the whisp and feed it zombie souls to charge it up. We must now guide the whisp--again. -
Step 8 - Guide the Whisp, Again:
Everything is the same as far as the code and sequence you previously followed in step six. -
Step 9 - Nine Bells:
The team will now split up into four different locations: one person looking at the device in the mansion, one person in the court room, one person on the second floor of the barn and the last on the second floor of the candy shop. You will then need to be quick when you get the signal and shoot the bells within a 10 second timer. -
Step 10 - Make a Wish + Shooting Range:
After you make a wish in the fountain there will be four shooting ranges that appear throughout the map. All four people need to hit all of the targets that appear in their particular area. It is important to familiarize yourself with the targets before getting into the shooting range part. Once all four players hit all of their targets you will be given all seven perks and the achievement to boot.
Apoclypse DLC
Introduction:
Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the final DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II--Origins. Released on August 27, 2013, this final installment will easily be many zombie aficionados toughest zombie map and will forever resound in the minds and fingers of those who had to labor to complete it. For the $14.99 price tag (free with the $50 season pass), you easily get your money's worth with this zombies map. Bringing us back to where it all began, our four favorite heroes must once again get to the bottom of Easter Egg and must release Samantha. Boasting a changing world with elements, robots, and rounds containing boss zombies as well as a large map that contains many cracks and crevices, you will not only have fun from start of the EE to finish, but will have fun going back and slaying waves of undead.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Essentially we are going to tackle this DLC in three waves with a Tips & Tricks Section to start us off.
Tips & Tricks:
- Familiarize yourself with the map prior to attempting the Easter Egg. Having a command of the map will give you a powerful upper hand when trying to stay alive.
- Getting pieces to the different build able items in the earlier rounds will give you a commanding presence when you venture into the higher rounds.
Maxis Drone Pieces:
Brain:
-Always found in spawn on the desk in the first room.
Frame:
-Near the crossbones sign on the path leading in front of the church.
-Near the crossbones sign on the path leading to the rear of church.
-In the excavation site around the spiral staircase BEFORE entering the bottom site.
Rotors:
-Also in the excavation site around the spiral staircase before entering the bottom site.
-On top of excavation in the area of the pack-a-punched machine.
-Near the bottom of the excavation site, next to one of the levers reachable only by the wooden walkway.
After gathering the necessary pieces to the Maxis Drone, I suggest building it in the church. It can be a huge boost to a team that needs to run away via the tank, and can be easily accessed without too much trouble.
Record Machine Pieces:
Black Record:
-On top of the excavation site, to the left of the pack-a-punch machine in the wheelbarrow.
-On the excavation wall on the left hand side of the path by the church stairs. In other words, if you were to walk from the church steps make a left and it will be on your right hand side sitting on the ledge on the wall right before you get to the big mud pit area.
-Coming from spawn instead of taking the staircase up toward excavation it will be sitting on the box that has the engine on it right at the base of the stairs.
Gramophone:
-Located inside the excavation site by the desk where you need to place the gramophone to power up the stairs to enter the cavern. It will be on the ground.
You will need to place the gramophone on the desk to open up the bottom of excavation in order to descend and to create the staves.
Zombie Shield Pieces:
Face Screen:
-In the generator 3 area near speed cola heading toward the workshop behind the crate.
-In the trench in front of the fire tunnel on the desk.
-Inside the fire tunnel on the table before the Agartha gateway.
Handles:
-Upon exiting generator 2 instead of going toward the workshop, at the end of the trench headed the other direction in the wheelbarrow.
-In the trench room heading toward generator 2 from spawn on the desk.
-On top of the tank station next to generator 2 on some piping.
Shield Frame:
-Behind juggernog, in the mud area where you fill up the chest, opposite of the MP-40 on the wall.
-In the robot's footprint between excavation and generator 5 area on the church side. It will be in the generator 5 direction corner.
-Just outside of generator 4 heading toward the trenches to church. The mud area right before you enter those trenches.
- The single most important tip I can give is to hold a zombie at the end of every round. Sure this is time consuming, but being able to safely work on steps or even achievements is vital to the ease and success of this DLC.
Easter Egg Action:
I wanted to put the Easter Egg first because not only will it take the most amount of time, but you will gain quite a few achievements simply going for it. Of course for the in depth breakdown please see "Little Lost Sister." But through the Easter Egg process you should run into at least the following achievements:
- "Not a Gold Digger" for digging up a weapon and having someone else pick it up.
- "Playing with Power" for building all of the elemental staves.
- "Master Wizard" for wielding all 4 ultimate staves.
- "Little Lost Sister" for completing the Easter Egg.
- "Saving the Day...All Day" for reviving teammates four different ways. Note that you should also pair this up with your EE run as you will already have built an ultimate staff as well as Maxis.
- "Over Achiever" for completing all 4 challenges. Note that for this you may have to go out of your way to grab it, although during your long haul on the EE this is the best time to grab it.
This was essentially the bare minimum of what you should get while going for the Easter Egg, although you may get others both by accident, or with careful extra planning.
Mopping Up Zombie Parts is Relatively Easy:
With the hardest and longest out of the way, you are left to load up some easy maps, call a couple of buddies, and fly through the remaining achievements. None will pose too difficult and can all be done in one additional game.
- "All Your Base" for powering up all 6 generators without allowing one to stop.
- "Kung Fu Grip" for freeing yourself and a teammate from the Panzer's claw attack.
- "I’m on a Tank!" for not getting off of the tank for an entire cycle.
- "Master of Disguise" for revive three people and powering up one generator in zombie blood.
Conclusion:
Overall Origins will go down in memory as one of the toughest zombie maps (fighting Moon from Call of Duty: Black Ops I for that title) as well as one of the most memorable ways to end an Easter Egg. There is no doubt that you will have fun from start to finish working together with your team to create, empower, and liberate. With a map that changes every round, and elements that come into the map to change your play style, Origins lays the groundwork for what we should come to expect from zombies in the future. By following the achievement guides for those pesky achievements you should be able to put this DLC away fairly easily, albeit with a bit of work and time, and happily check another zombies off your list. And for those of you who have finished their last bit for the game, happy 2000.
