Introduction:
Carcassonne is a strategic board game in which players draw random tiles and place them on a board in order to build cities, construct roads, and create farms. The real strategy lies in how to place your seven followers most effectively, deciding whether they will be knights, thieves, farmers, or monks. Their precise placement determines the scoring the game. The game offers single player, pass-and-play local multiplayer, and online multiplayer. For a more in-depth review of the game from WPCentral, click HERE. For more detailed information about the game and its rules, click HERE. Currently the game is listed at $2.99 in the Windows Phone Store.

Step 1: Miscellaneous achievements (15 for 155 )
The first step should be completing all of the miscellaneous achievements. There are a lot of them, but fortunately they are easy and can be completed in a just a few games.

Step 2: Xbox Live Multiplayer achievements (2 for 20 )
The two multiplayer achievements can both be earned at the same time by winning a single online multiplayer game with 5 other players in it. This will most definitely need to be boosted, as games rarely will have the full 6 players in them. Even with 6 players gathered up, sometimes the servers do not like to cooperate making this an even bigger headache.

Step 3: Grinding (3 for 25 )
Once all of the other achievements are out of the way within a few hours, the last three achievements will require a significant grind, likely 35+ additional hours. You should first grind to a total score of 15,000 points, then work on completing (not necessarily winning) a total of 200 games. See the guide for more information on the fastest method.

Conclusion:
Carcassonne is an extremely easy completion, but it will take a long time as two of the achievements require some significant grinding. The multiplayer achievements are simple, but finding and coordinating a game with 5 other players may be a challenge. Despite the lengthy completion time, a respectable 180 can be earned in no more than 4 to 8 hours.

Apprentice15
Win your first game of Carcassonne.

Just win your first game. If you are having trouble, just play in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up.

Graduate15
Complete the Basic and the River II tutorial. (2)

From the Main Menu, select Tutorials and fully complete both the Basic Game and River II tutorials. All you have to do is keep clicking the green check-mark to progress. Both can be completed in about five minutes total. For some reason, you really need to keep jamming the green check-mark button, as the responsiveness in the tutorials is quite poor.

Abbot15
Score two adjacent lying cloisters.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. This does require a bit of luck, as you do need to get two tiles that have a cloister in the early part of the game. You need to place two tiles containing a cloister next to each other with your main profile player and place followers on both of them. Then you have to fill in the entire area around both cloister tiles to "score" them. This is not difficult, but you do have to be careful not to place tiles in a way that makes the cloisters unfinishable (e.g. place weird road or city pieces that require a specific tile to connect to them). Using both of your local players, you should have no problem finishing them.

Burgomaster15
Score a City with at least 9 tiles.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. Use both players to build a large city containing at least 9 tiles. Make sure to get a follower in the city with your main profile player, then complete it to earn this achievement. Do not go too crazy making a huge city that is impossible to finish. 9 tiles sounds like a lot, but the city will be surprisingly small.

Emperor of Carcassonne10
Score a total of 15,000+ points from all your Carcassonne games combined. (2)

You need to reach a total cumulative score from all your games of 15,000 points. This includes single player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer games. The fastest way to earn points is by playing local multiplayer against yourself. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up.

When you play the game, just focus on getting the most points possible for your main player. Use the guest player to help your player get points (build bigger cities, longer roads, complete cloisters). In a typical game, you should be able to earn between 175 and 225 points. At this rate, it will take you around 75 games to reach 15,000 points, taking you at least 15 hours. Along the way you will unlock the "Knight of Carcassonne" achievement for finishing 20 games. Be sure to turn off the River II expansion as it just adds more tiles to the mix, increasing each game's length.

You can check your progress towards this achievement by clicking on "Profiles" from the Main Menu and selecting your gamer profile.

Road Warden15
Score a road with at least five tiles.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. You need to make a road that encompasses five or more tiles, have a follower on it, then complete the road. Just use both of your players to make a big road, then complete it.

See THIS link for more information on building and scoring roads.

Lone Wolf5
Win a game of Carcassonne with at least 50 points more than the second best player.

See "Count of Carcassonne."

Shepherd15
Score at least 30 points with farms in a single game.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. To get 30 points, you need to have 10 cities supplied by farmers (3 for each city). Keep in mind, a city can be supplied by more than one farm, as long as they have their own separate fields. Focus on building lots of small cities, as opposed to bigger ones, as a city is worth the same for farming, no matter its size. This will unlock at the end of the game after the scoring.

See THIS link for more complete information about farm scoring.

Count of Carcassonne10
Win a game with at least 150 points.

This is easiest done in a local multiplayer game set to two players. From the Main Menu, click New Game, then Select Players. Make sure your Gamertag is one of the players, and make the other player a Guest. To do this, click the red "X" next to the AI player name. Then click the "+" to add a new player. Scroll down to Local Gamer Profiles and select any guest player. This will allow you to control both players in the game.

Now, when you play the game, just focus on getting the most points possible for your player. Use the guest player to help your player get points (build bigger cities, longer roads, complete cloisters). You should have no problem getting this. This will unlock at the end of the game after the scoring.

Missionary10
Win a game without having any followers left in your pool.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. Just make sure your player wins and has no followers left when the final tile hits the board and the game is over. Place them on unfinished roads, cities, cloisters, or as farmers. Make sure you do not complete anything on your last turn that returns a follower to you. This will unlock at the end of the game after the scoring.

Scrooge10
Win a game with at least four followers left in your pool.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. Just make sure your player wins and has at least four followers left when the last tile hits the board and the game is over. This will unlock at the end of the game after the scoring.

Duke of Carcassonne10
Finish 200 games of Carcassonne.

You only need to complete 200 games, win or lose. After earning the 15,000 points required for the "Emperor of Carcassonne" achievement, you will still need to complete over 100 games. The fastest way to do this is in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" for more information on setting this up. Each game you just jam all tiles down with both of your players as fast as possible. Doing this, you can complete each full game in around eight minutes. To boost the last 100+ games, this will take you another 15+ hours. Be sure to turn off the River II expansion as it just adds more tiles to the mix, increasing each game's length.

You can check your progress towards this achievement by clicking on "Profiles" from the Main Menu and selecting your gamer profile.

Builder5
Score with your first completed building.

Simply place a follower in a city and complete it.

Duelist5
Outnumber an opponent in an embattled completed building.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. You need to complete a building and score it by outnumbering another player in followers. In order to form an embattled city, you must create pieces of a city near each other. With your main player, make sure you make two pieces of the city and place followers in them. With your secondary player make one piece of the city and place one of their followers in it. Then use both of your players to merge the city into one and complete it. Once completed, you main character will get all of the points for the city and this achievement will unlock.

Hello Hefaistos5
Create a volcano.

In order to be able to place a volcano, you need to be playing with the River II Expansion activated. When setting up a new game, before selecting the players, make sure to highlight the River II expansion by clicking it. It seems that whoever is randomly selected to go first will be the one to place the volcano tile in the game, so this is a bit luck based. If you do not get the achievement after the volcano tile is in play, just quit out and try again.

The First Crusade15
Win your first Xbox LIVE game of Carcassonne.

You just need to simply win an online game. It can be against any number of players, however playing against only one other player will give you the best odds of winning. From the Main Menu, you can either choose Play Online, which allows you to select a custom match based on some criteria, or Quick Match, which will pair you in any available game. The online community for this game at any given moment will likely be small, so you may need to boost this. See THIS thread for others looking to boost as well.

NOTE: This achievement is stackable with "Best of the Best." Winning a game where all seats have been taken will also unlock this achievement.

Best of the Best5
Win a Xbox LIVE game, where all seats have been taken. (2)

You will most certainly have to boost this as it is very unlikely that you will naturally be able to find or fill a full, 6-player game. See THIS thread for setting up a boosting session. If all 6 players are interested in getting this achievement, it will take about 2-3 hours total for everyone to unlock it, if there is no server issues, which you will likely run into. To finish the six games as fast as possible, all players should just keep rapidly placing their tiles in any possible location. You can tell which locations are available as the game will highlight certain empty spaces for you. The person that wants to win just needs to place a single follower on a road, city, or cloister. Every other player puts no followers down at all. This will ensure victory for the correct player and that the games are completed quickly. Also, make sure to turn off the River II expansion as it just adds more tiles that must be played to each game. Games can also be played over days with toast notifications. You only need all 6 people online at the same time to start the games. Once they are started, all 6 games can be continued until their completion simultaneously.

Knight of Carcassonne5
Finish 20 games of Carcassonne.

You only need to complete 20 games, win or lose. This will unlock along your path to boosting 15,000 total points. See "Emperor of Carcassonne" for more information.

Secular Power10
Win a game without scoring any cloister points.

This is easiest when done in local multiplayer. See "Count of Carcassonne" on how to set this up. Just win the game without scoring any cloister points by following one simple rule: NEVER place a follower on a cloister. It doesn't matter if you play cloister tiles, as long as you do not put a follower on them. This will unlock at the end of the game after the scoring.

Ring Ring!5
Download the Carcassonne ringtone to your device.

From the Main Menu, go to Help & Options and click the Ringtone tab at the top. Click Save, then Yes, then hit the check-mark to confirm the download. Achievement unlocked.
