Overall Achievement Summary
Overall the achievements in the game are pretty easy. More importantly, most of the achievements will come naturally just by playing the game. You will need to find a lot of collectibles, but the videos in the guide will walk you through that. The trials are probably the hardest part of the game, but there are only a handful that are actually tough, and even those can be beat after a few tries.

The Game Plan
At a minimum, you will need to complete each level two times. For each level you will need to beat it on Paladin difficulty, complete the trial and find any weapon upgrades and gems. In order to unlock Paladin difficulty and the trial, you need to complete the level once on any difficulty. You can complete the game on Squire and it will still unlock the trials and Paladin difficulty. I recommend starting on Knight as this will better prepare you for your Paladin playthrough. To be honest, this game may seem hard at first, but once you get the controls down and get a few upgrades, itss really not hard at all. See the quick tips section below for some tips that may make this game a bit easier.

If you decide to start on Squire or Knight it really doesn't matter. On your first playthrough use the videos in the guide to find all of the gems and weapon upgrades. This will make life easier as you build your health and magic. Some of weapon upgrades you can't get until you have unlocked a certain relic. Don't worry about going back for these until your second playthrough. With your first playthrough is complete, you can go through and start playing again on Paladin and collecting your remaining upgrades. As you're doing this, you will also want to complete the trials for each level at the same time. Some trials are a lot easier on Squire, so if you're having a really hard time with a certain trial, just skip it and come back later on a lower difficulty. I mention in each level's trial section if it's a lot easier on squire. Most of the levels are really short, after beating them once you can run through most levels in 5-10 minutes.

Quick Tips before you start
Go into Extras > Combat Display. You should at least turn on Enemies Health Bar and Gabriel's Combat Damage. These will help you to pick what attacks and combos you like based off the damage they do.

Unlimited Health:
If you learn how to use your focus properly you can build your health back almost at will. The key is to build your focus by using combos. Combos build your focus A LOT quicker than just using regular attacks. Find 1 or 2 combos you like and master them, use them as your go to move when you need to build your focus. If your still struggling buy "Landslide Punch" under Relic Powers (Jump in the air and hold + or the other combo + ). You can spam this over and over. This may be helpful on Paladin to help you through the harder parts..

Blocking:
Blocking is another good way to quickly build your focus, especially on bosses. I usually only block when there isn't enough enemies around to build my focus.

General Attacks:
I generally use attacks. I will attack until the enemy is about to attack, then roll away to evade their attacks and come back with my own counter attacks. I use this method throughout the entire game. I very rarely block, except on some bosses to build my focus.

Combos:
As stated before the "Landslide Punch" is pretty good. I used the rising strike (+) followed by++++hold (Guillotine) while in the air. If done correctly you will knock smaller enemies up in the air, beat them in the air, and unleash a powerful attack after you land. This works well on bosses, even though you don't knock them into the air. I also really like the "Direct Heavy Combo" maxed out. Hold + x9. This is quick and easy to do and does good damage.

Fountains:
Life fountains will become active again after awhile. Magic fountain can be used multiple times as well. Use this to your advantage and go back to these as many times as you need. You can also spam your magic attacks if you know a fountain is nearby. A lot of times you can go back pretty far through levels.

Reverie DLC

The Reverie DLC is the thirteenth chapter of the game that follows the last chapter of the main campaign. In this chapter, you'll be helping Laura in a quest to end her eternal sufferings. The chapter also contains six Frankenstein fingers to find.

Step 1 - Main Campaign
Your first playthrough should be on Paladin difficulty, but in order unlock it you must first complete the main campaign on any difficulty.

Step 2 - Chapter XIII on Paladin difficulty
Now that you've completed the main campaign, you should directly start playing on Paladin difficulty. There are three levels in the chapter and six Frankenstein fingers that should also be found on your first playthrough. Please see the "Master of the reliquary" Achievement for more information on the fingers' locations.

  • Castle Hall (1 finger)
  • Abandoned Wing (3 fingers)
  • Founder's Quarters (2 finger)

Step 3 - Trials
The last step would be to go for the three trials on either Squire or Warrior difficulty. Also, please note that the difficulty cannot be changed in mid chapter. Please see the "Trials - Chapter XIII" Achievement for more information.

Resurrection DLC
The Resurrection DLC is the fourteenth chapter of the game that follows the first DLC. In this chapter, Gabriel is becoming a vampire and will fight against the Forgotten One, a powerful demon long time imprisoned, to satisfy his need for revenge.

Step 1 - Main Campaign
Your first playthrough should be on Paladin difficulty, but in order unlock it you must first complete the main campaign on any difficulty.

Step 2 - Chapter XIV on Paladin difficulty
Now that you've completed the main campaign, you should directly start playing on Paladin difficulty. There are two levels in the chapter which are as follows:

  • Dimensional Prison
  • The Underworld

Please note that there are no collectibles in this chapter.

Step 3 - Trials
The last step would be to go for the two trials on either Squire or Warrior difficulty. Also, please note that the difficulty cannot be changed in mid chapter. Please see the "Trials - Chapter XIV" Achievement for more information.

Epic Victory - Chapter XIII30
Finish the levels from Chapter XIII on Paladin difficulty. (2)
The achievements for completing the chapter on lower difficulties will unlock when you complete the DLC on Paladin difficulty.

As the achievements say, you must complete Chapter XIII on Paladin difficulty which shouldn’t be too bad. You might find difficult to kill the ghouls while playing as Laura but it shouldn’t be too hard either. Here’s a very useful walkthrough guide found on PST HERE.

Master of the reliquary30
Gather all the fingers of Frankenstein (2)

There are 6 Frankenstein fingers to find in the chapter.

Chapter 13-1 (Castle Hall)

  • When you get in the giant chess room, the finger is in the upper-left corner of the room.

Chapter 13-2 (Abandoned Wing)

  • After you drop down some columns, you will run on the water to reach a platform. You will then have to run to the second platform, but the finger will be waiting in between these on your right.
  • After you kill some ghouls while playing as Laura, you will be able to reach her back. The finger is hidden behind a wall of ice in the circular room. To reach it, use your Shadow Magic and then press + Forward with the .
  • This one is a pain to reach. In the circular blades room (you can’t miss it), when you pass the wheel that increases and decreases speed, go down instead of going to the left to find the finger. Please note that if you pick up the finger and then die afterwards, you DO NOT need to pick it up again.

Chapter 13-3 (Founder’s Quarters)

  • When you complete the puzzle on the floor (align the circles), go down the stairs and then to the left to find the finger.
  • When you must collect the three blood orbs, you will reach a hall with three different paths. Take the left one and the finger is hidden behind a breakable wall on the right.

I made a clear video to show their locations.

Trials - Chapter XIII30
Complete all the trials for Chapter XIII (3)

In order to be able to complete the trials, you must first complete Chapter XIII on any difficulty. Also, if you fail, simply restart to the last checkpoint instead of going through the whole level again.

Castle Hall

Requirements: Finish the level without Laura killing anyone.

First, I suggest having a dark crystal in hand for this and I also suggest playing on Warrior difficulty because it’s too easy for Laura to kill someone on Squire difficulty. The only place where Laura can kill someone is at the beginning of the level where the ghouls come out of the floor. Kill the first wave of ghouls and then as soon as more of them respawn, use your Dark Crystal to instantly kill all of them.

Abandoned Wing

Requirements:
Finish the level and cross the deadly blade wall without dying, keeping the mechanism at its maximum speed at all times.

This is one of the hardest trials in the game and the most boring without any doubt. You must reach the other side of the room without getting hit by the blades while they’re at full speed. So press twice before passing the first blade and use to carefully make your way through. You can also jump at some places ( in any direction + simultaneously). I would recommend to carefully follow the video that follows to ease your pain.

Founder’s Quarter

Requirements:
Finish the level by filling the three pots of the Blood Orbs puzzle at the same time.

At the end of the level, there will a puzzle and you must fill the three blood orbs at the same time. It is very easy if you do as follows (rows will go top to bottom and squares will go left to right):

Middle row – Right Square
Middle row – Center square , , ,
Bottom Row – Center Square ,

Epic victory - Chapter XIV30
Finish the levels from Chapter XIV in Paladin difficulty (14)

The achievements for completing the chapter on lower difficulties will unlock when you complete the DLC on Paladin difficulty.

There are two levels in the chapter in which you’ll be fighting a boss called the Forgotten One. He is not to be underestimated as he is one of the hardest boss in the game.

It is highly recommended to fully upgrade your Light and Shadow magic gauges (by finding all the gems in the game) and to have a full health bar before attempting both levels (load Chapter 5-2 to quickly refill you magic gauges and your health bar). For the best tips on how to win your fight against the Forgotten One, please follow this great guide found on PST HERE.

Trials - Chapter XIV30
Complete all the trials for Chapter XIV

In order to be able to complete the trials, you must first complete Chapter XIV on any difficulty. Also, if you fail, simply restart to the last checkpoint instead of going through the whole level again.

Dimensional Prison

Requirements:
Defeat the Forgotten One after absorbing 100 Neutral Elemental Orbs during the fight against him.

As mentioned above, this should be approached on Squire the difficulty as the Forgotten One deals much less damage than on higher difficulties. It is also recommended to fill your Health Bar and Magic Gauges before attempting the trial.
In order to absorb 100 Neutral Elemental Orbs, you must fill your Focus Meter by doing combos without being hit and then press or to absorb them. There are two rounds in the fight and it is much harder to collect orbs on the second round. Though, if you purposely fail to deflect the energy ball that the Forgotten One sends on you at the end of the first round, you won’t be able to reach the second round which gives you more time to collect the required amount of Neutral Elemental Orbs.

The Underworld

Requirements:
Finish the level after destroying all the Flaming Skeleton Warriors.

As mentioned above, this should be approached on the Squire difficulty as the Forgotten One deals much less damage than on higher difficulties. It is also recommended to fill your Health Bar and Magic Gauges and having a Dark Crystal before attempting the trial.
After crossing the lava by jumping from platforms to platforms, there will be 16 skeletons that you need to kill. They aren’t very difficult, but try to take as less damage as possible so you can approach the Forgotten One with as much health as possible. If you have a Dark Crystal, use it to instantly kill four or five of them. Carefully dodge or counter the skeletons and use heavy attacks on them. Don’t forget that they have the ability to rebuild themselves so use any ground attack to finish them off while they are dismembered.
