Welcome to Chaos Rings, a JRPG by Square Enix. As befits, this game contains a lot of combat, some light puzzles, and plenty of melodramatic dialogue. Overall, the game isn't too difficult, and the story is quite linear, but you will need to do some grinding. In total, for the full 200 you'll need to finish the game 4 times, once with each couple, including the post-game optional dungeons.

Each story line sees you in control of a warrior / mage couple. Both can cast spells and launch physical attacks, but obviously one is better than the other in his specialty.
The battle gauge in the upper left corner represents the flow of battle. A mainly blue gauge means your team scores more damage, while a red gauge means monsters hit harder.
You can attack or cast either solo, controlling each character separately, or as a pair for coordinated action. While the latter causes more damage, it also leaves you open to more damage. As a rule of thumb, use solo action in the beginning, while pair attacks are recommended once your characters have developed some.
Genes contain both skills and spells. When using pair mode, characters have access to their partners arsenal, meaning there's no point in equipping the same genes on each character.
Some monsters are tied to one of the three elements - water, fire, and gale. As such they are vulnerable to their opposite element (fire to water, water to gale, and gale to fire), and smaller monster can be eliminated with a single spell. Most are obvious, like a phoenix being vulnerable to water, but if you don't feel like experimenting, you can always use the 'analyze' command to discover their weaknesses. Also, enemies who just used an elemental attack are more vulnerable to the opposing element, so use that to your advantage.
Should a fight go south, hit the home button, and relaunch the game. You'll be able to pick up from an autosave right before the last fight.

Genes are skill classes that contain 6 skills. You get additional genes and skills by defeating monsters, and can equip them in the 'camp' mode. I recommend equipping the slug genes, which contain the useful 'Get more genes' skill, and elephant genes, which have the 20% XP increase skill. Mouse and Insect genes allow you to escape tough enemies. As for the rest, you should have all three elemental attacks available.

Finally, should you ever get stuck with puzzles, check ***THIS GUIDE*** for help.

Step 1: Escher, genes and level 100: Start the Escher storyline. Take the time to capture all genes, as they are shared between all couples. While you're at it, take Escher and Musiae all the way to level 100.

Step 2-4: The other couples in whatever order you prefer.

Optional Step 4b: Taking the time to grind all characters to level 100 will make the end game ridiculously easy, but isn't necessary.

Step 5: 'Final' battle.

Step 6: Hunt down the optional bosses and the secret boss.

Step 7: Mop up. You'll likely need to grind out 1000 victories.

Conclusion: Chaos Rings is an entertaining game for the WP7 or WP8. RPG fans shouldn't be scared off by the high price tag, as you'll get a quality game for your money.

Clear the Escher scenario.10
Clear the Escher scenario.

Beat each dungeon section by solving the two puzzle rooms and beating the boss. After defeating the Agent, go through the 'Original Door', watch the credits and save. Reload your save to enter the new 'Bereshith Road' dungeon. Once you defeat the boss on top of the tower, the scenario will be over and the achievement unlocked.

Clear the Eluca scenario.10

Clear all areas.30
Clear all areas.

Once you've cleared all character scenarios, a new option called 'Final' will be available. Here, you'll have to defeat four bosses of increasing toughness back-to-back, so use your weakest couple first and save your toughest for last.

Boss #1: Qualia 450THz
Lvl35 / 19,000HP / weakness: aqua
Boss #2: Qualia 650THz
Lvl40 / 22,500HP / weakness: gale
Boss #3: Qualia 550THz
Lvl45 / 25,000HP / weakness blaze
Boss #4: Qualia
Lvl50 / 40,000HP / no weaknesses

The achievement will unlock after the end credits.

Defeat all hidden bosses.20
Defeat all hidden bosses with each pair of heroes.

Once you've unlocked the 'Clear all Areas' achievement, load any couple and re-enter the dungeons. Where there previously were bosses are now cylinders containing a new, stronger set of bosses. These bosses can easily be defeated at lvl75.

Clashing Grounds:
Poseidon: Lvl77 / 42,210HP / weaknesses: magic & gale
Cherub: Lvl81 / 41,400HP / weakness: aqua

Ancient Paths of Death:
Dante: Lvl75 / 40,450HP / no weaknesses
Sephiroth: Lvl82 / 43,650HP / weakness: blaze

Oceans of Origins:
Brahma: Lvl76 / 42,000HP / weakness: blaze
Lethal Gene: Lvl84 / 44,925HP / no weaknesses

Tin Man: Lvl78 / 52,650HP / weakness: magic
Libido: Lvl83 / 64,350HP / weakness: physical

Bereshith Road:
Atman, a 'shadow' version of your couple: Lvl90 / 31,200 & 29,600HP, no weaknesses

Once a dungeon has been cleared, four golden stars will be next to it's name. Kill all bosses with all character and the achievement will be yours.

Defeat 1000 enemies.20
Achieve victory in over 1000 battles.   (8)

This is cumulative with all couples, and likely the last achievement you'll get. Just keep fighting random encounters until it pops.

Reach level 100.30
Reach level 100 with any character.

Once you're level 20, you should start selecting tougher enemies to get more XP. Increase your odds by frequently buying better equipment at PiuPiu's, and equip elephant genes for the 20% XP increase. Once you're around level 50, you'll destroy opponent 20 levels higher in a single pair attack.
The best location to grind XP is the treasure chest room on the 137th Floor on Bereshith Road at level 91-100. It has the highest chance to spawn pandas, including Tomorrow Bilikens that yield over 125,000XP. This can be doubled using paradise apples. You can return here even after defeating Bereshith Road's final boss.

All Genes max level.30
Raise all genes to max level.

You need to get all six skills within each gene set. Equip slug genes for the 'Get more genes' skill, and fight higher level enemies to increase your chances.

A complete list of genes can be found here.

Secret Achievements
Defeat PiuPiu.30
Defeat PiuPiu.

Once you've killed all optional bosses with all couples, PiuPiu, the ultimate opponent will be available. Talk to him to accept his challenge.

PiuPiu: Lvl100 / 205,000HP / no weaknesses

He has two actions per round. He likes to use elemental attacks, but can also poison and deal physical attacks. He'll occasionally block your attacks, can cast heal spells and he regenerates 10,000HP each round.

Your best chance is to wear him down by countering his elemental attacks while keeping an eye on your own health, healing as needed. He might be the toughest opponent in the game, but he's far from impossible.
