Introduction:
Welcome to Crackdown 2, a sandbox game created by Ruffian Games. Crackdown 2 takes 10 years after the story of Crackdown. The city has been over run by a gang known as Cell and the Infected known as Freaks. Get ready to climb huge skyscrapers, grab a massive amount of collectibles, and blow up huge amounts of Cell and Infected. You will be saving the city with your super agent, one more time.

Breakdown:
Since there is no difficulty based achievements, you can begin right away on "Fragile" difficulty (easiest difficulty). As you play through the game, whenever you see agility orbs, go for them as much as possible. Having a high agility early on helps you get around the city much easier. Always use a variety of attacks to level up equally in all skill levels.

Story Mode:
Playing through the story will net you a minimum of 350 for just the story. Play through the story destroying all the Beacons and Cell Strongholds as you play. You will obtain everything that is story related as you play through it.

Collectible Orbs and Audio Logs:
There are total of 925 Collectible Orbs found in Pacific City.

  • 500 - Agility Orbs ("King of the World")
  • 300 - Hidden Orbs ("Sixth Sense")
  • 45 - Renegade Orbs
    • 30 - Renegade Agility Orbs ("Renegade Runner")
    • 15 - Renegade Driving Orbs ("Renegade Racer")
  • 80 - Xbox Live Orbs ("LIVE and let LIVE")

There are a total of 52 Audio Logs found in Pacific City.

  • 52 - Audio Logs ("Closed Book")

These will take a majority of your time. Each Orb and Audio Log has a distinctive look and possible sound that you will become accustomed to hearing. Check each Orbs and Audio Logs(achievement name) in the guide for the best way to locate and get these collectibles.

Road and Rooftop Races:
There are a total of 30 Races found in Pacific City. Road Races and Rooftop Races are both distinguished with their different flags. Road Races have purple checkered flags, and Rooftop Races have green checkered flags.

  • 15 - Road Races ("Street Racer")
  • 15 - Rooftop Races ("Rooftop Racer")

Wingsuit Stunt Rings and Vehicle Stunt Rings:There are a total of 50 Stunt Rings found in Pacific City.

  • 10 - Wingsuit Stunt Rings ("Wingsuit Racer")
  • 40 - Vehicle Stunt Rings ("Stuntman")

They are found as either Green circles for Wingsuit Stunt Rings, and Purple circles for Vehicle Stunt Rings.

Miscellaneous/Clean up:
If you have missed anything it should deal with killing certain enemies or doing a single objective. Refer to the Achievement Guide for help on cleaning up whatever you have left over.

Toy Box DLC

Introduction:
This DLC introduces the jet boot thrusters, a fun addition to the game. These also make some of the achievements in the game much easier to obtain (such as finding Agility and Hidden orbs, completing Rooftop Races and makes climbing buildings much easier).

This DLC also adds a new multiplayer mode called Vehicle Tag. In this mode, you must drive around and obtain an orb and maintain possession for the longest amount of time. This is similar to Oddball in the Halo franchise, except that you are in a vehicle.

Please note that in order to unlock these achievements, you can’t be playing in the new ‘Keys to the City’ mode as playing in this mode disables achievements and you can’t save your game.

Solo Achievements:
There are five achievements that are unlocked solo (you can be playing with a co-op partner, but these do not require more than yourself to unlock). They are “Mile High Club,” “Hung Out to Dry,” “Burnt Offerings,” “Wing-a-Ding-Ding,” and “Rocketeer.” Four of these require the thrusters, so make sure you have them equipped.

Note: To unlock “Mile High Club,” you must be at least Level 5 in Strength. To unlock “Wing-a-Ding-Ding,” you need the Wingsuit, which is available once you reach Level 5 in Agility.

The final solo achievement is “Beyond the Infinite.” This requires you to get all five abilities to Level 6. Just keep killing, jumping and driving and you should have this in no time.

Co-op Achievements:
The next two achievements, “Run! Get to the Chopper!” and “Tac Loc Takedown,” while they can be unlocked solo, are much easier if you are part of a squad.

Online Achievements:
There are two achievements that require you to play online with others. They are “Never Give It up” and “One Careful Driver.” Both of these need to be done while playing Vehicle Tag.

Conclusion:
The Toy Box DLC is fairly easy to complete; just takes some planning ahead and timing.

Deluge DLC

Introduction:
Welcome to the Deluge DLC, the latest addition to Crackdown 2. This DLC introduces a survival mode called Deluge. You can play with up to four people and offers drop-in/drop-out. You begin with a set amount of time and your time increases as you clear waves of enemies. Each wave gets increasing more difficult with stronger enemies, strongholds and capture points. If your time expires, it’s game over.

Also in this DLC is the new Capture the Orb mode, Crackdown’s take on Capture the Flag. Play with up to 16 people in 6 different arenas.

Solo Achievements:
Raging Bull” and “The Blender” can both be unlocked in the quarry in Hope Springs (although anywhere is good where there is a good concentration of freaks). It might take a couple of tries to get “The Blender” as your angle might not be correct for your helicopter blades to cut the freaks to shreds.

Co-op Achievements:
There are two achievements that can be done solo but is much easier if you play with a partner. For “15 Minutes of Maim,” just survive at least 15 minutes in each of the three arenas. For “Deluge Domination,” you must survive all 50 waves in one arena.

Speed Scorer” and “The Big Score” require you to achieve a certain amount of points in a Deluge arena. “Earth Wind Fire” is unlocked for attaining a certain combo multiplier for ground, air and explosive killing. These three are attainable playing either solo or with a partner, but go much faster solo as you will be the only one killing. If you play through 50 waves with a partner, you should be able to unlock all three with relative ease.

Decimator” requires that you kill 10,000 enemies in Deluge. This one is going to take some grinding as you will only get a few thousand kills by playing all 50 waves in one arena. There are waves that are good for farming kills, such as Zone 5, Wave 7 in South Unity Heights. You can potentially get 100 kills per minute of game time.

Online Achievements:
There are two achievements that require you to be online. For “Cartographer,” you need to win a Capture the Orb game in all six arenas. “Project Sunburst” is a viral achievement, so for this one you need to just play a Deluge game with someone who already has the achievement.

Conclusion:
This DLC is pretty straightforward. With dedication, you can unlock everything except “Decimator” within a few hours, but getting 10,000 kills will take some grinding.

Overall Conclusion:
Crackdown 2 is one game that doesn't get enough credit. It is great for coop game play that many may be looking for. But none the less, a enjoyable sandbox game among the ranks.

How to use the Wingsuit: While in a free fall press the to activate the wingsuit and start gliding. Pressing up on the will make you dive and pulling down on the will make you go back up. As you are diving you will see the trail behind you turn red, this is the moment you want to pull your agent back up into the air. Then once the trail turns blue and flashes once. Go back down and repeat. This may take some practice on how to use the wingsuit, as it is not very easy for some.

Here is a video on how to complete 9 out of the 10 Stunt Rings with the Wingsuit.

    • Agility - You gain Agility Experience by collecting agility orbs and from shooting enemies from a high altitude. You will need to collect between 250-300 agility orbs to get to level 5.

  • From the top of full-height Agency Tower, leap into the chimney stack and live to tell the tale.

    (7)

To unlock this achievement you have to be up to the last mission in the story mode (Blue star is the mission marker). As you progress through the story the Agency Tower is being built. Grab a helicopter near the tower and fly up to the very highest point on the Agency Tower. In front of you will be a chimney stack and you have to reach the bottom to land in the water. This may take a couple tries, but as long as you land in the water (it's okay if you die), it will unlock.

  • Wingsuit glide through the airspace of all islands in Pacific City without touching down.

    (7)

You unlock the Wingsuit at Agility Level 5. This will take a very long time as you will have to collect a lot of agility orbs. Once you have the Wingsuit, it shouldn't be a problem. While in a free fall press the to activate the Wingsuit and start gliding.

  • 4 Agents, Wingsuit-glide through the airspace of all islands in city within 30 secs of leader.

All 4 of your teammates have to have Skill Level 5 in Agility to have the wingsuit unlocked. Refer to "City Glider" on how to use the Wingsuit and other requirements.

  • Kill 5 enemies with a single gas cylinder.

Any item that appears on your screen with a fire symbol on it can be blown up if it is shot. This is very easy at the beginning of the game and done while the Freaks are out at night.

  • Pass a vehicle back and forth between Agents 3x using UV shotguns. Vehicle must not hit the ground.

You unlock the UV shotgun at Skill Level 2 in Firearms. Easiest way to do this is by using Mag grenades and sticking a car to a high wall. Then just shooting it one at a time until the achievement unlocks.

  • Drive an Agency SUV into an airborne helicopter.

    (6)

You unlock the Agency SUV at Driving skill level 4. There are two relatively easy ways to get this achievement.

    1. Have a friend go get a helicopter from the Agency Tower and have them bring it to you. Just drive the Agency SUV into the helicopter and it will unlock.
    2. Find a Ramp truck and set it up near a tactical location. Have the SUV ready a little big away and call in a vehicle of some sorts. As the helicopter comes down. Drive up the ramp and hit the helicopter.

  • Kill 25 Freaks with thrown objects or vehicles.

This is cumulative and can be easily accomplished once you have enough strength to pick up a car. You can use anything that can be picked up with and then thrown with the .

  • Alone or with another Agent, kill an enemy with a mounted turret while airborne and upside-down!

    (4)

The easiest way to unlock this is with the Agency Buggy that you unlock at Driving Skill Level 2. You don't have to be airborne to really do this, just upside down. You want to do this at night in a Freak populated area so that it is easier to get a kill on one of them. Pressing the will make the turret fire, and the to aim the turret. An easy way to flip your car is to drive into the side of a wall at a angle to flip your car. And once your car is flipped shoot at the enemies around you.

  • Land 20 successful hand-to-hand attacks in a chain. Under 3 secs between attacks to chain them.

    (4)

Once you reach the Strength skill to level 2. You will be able to pick up broken lamp posts and street signs to use as weapons. Find a huge group of Freaks and start hitting them with the sign. As long as they don't knock you down the chain will keep going. It is okay if they hit you as that doesn't restart the chain.

  • Use the minigun to amass 20 enemy kills in a 10 second period.

    (3)

Any kind of turret works for this. Attached, Detached, or the Agency Buggy turret. The easiest way is once you unlock the Agency Buggy at Driving Skill Level 2. You want to do this at night in a Freak populated area so that it is easier to get a kill on one of them. Pressing the will make the turret fire, and the to aim the turret.

  • Use a UV weapon to amass 20 Freak kills in a 10 second period.

This should come with minimal difficulty. You unlock the UV shotgun at Firearms Level 2. At night find a big bunch of freaks and just start going crazy. The UV shotgun kills freaks at one shot as long as it hits them. While defending Beacons is a easy way to get lots of kills quick.

  • While driving a vehicle kill 5 enemies in a single power slide.

This can be done in basically any vehicle that has some speed. Find a group of Freaks and get either the Agency Cruiser, Agency Buggy (Level 2), or the Agency Supercar (Level 3). Drive at the group of freaks and just before you hit them, power slide into them by either pressing left or right on the and pressing to handbrake.

  • Use Harpoon Gun to pin 5 enemies to a single vehicle.

    (8)

You unlock the Harpoon Gun at Skill Level 5 in your Firearms skill. The best vehicles to use are big ones like the Agency SUV/Tank or Buses/Trucks. Don't pick up the vehicle because the enemies will fall off.

  • Create 30 explosions in 60 seconds.

    (4)

There are two easy ways to get this achievement. Both ways are very easy to do.

    1. Stand on a helicopter drop point, and request a weapons drop. Choose a manual explosive (Quakie Grenade, or a Satchel Charge). Throw them all on the ground (don't detonate them), then request another weapons drop to reload on explosives. Repeat until you have at least 30 explosives on the ground. Switch to an explosive weapon like a rocket launcher (holding to set off the charges doesn't count) and shoot the explosives on the ground from a safe distance to cause a huge chain reaction.
    2. Another easy way is while in the area for the third beacon in Hope Springs. There are tons of explosive barrels down in the area for you to shoot within 30 seconds of one another.

  • Find 25 unique ways to destroy your cloned body.

    (15)

    • Blown up by exploding object
    • Blown up by Quacker

    Melee/Physics:

    • Killed while in a vehicle

    Enemy Types:

    • Killed by Reaper
    • Killed by Pounder
    • Killed by Agent Reaper
    • Killed by Heavy armored Cell
    • Killed by Scrounger
    • Killed by any cell
    • Killed by any peacekeeper

  • Leap from one fast moving vehicle to another.

    (6)

This is very easy but takes some time to figure out when the best time to get this is. Don't do this at night when the Freaks are out because all the civilian vehicles are gone and don't jump on Cell or Agency vehicles because they stop often. Find a car that is just driving around and once you see another car that is coming the opposite way or driving next to you. Jump onto the car with . This may take a couple practice runs to figure out how far/hard you need to jump. You can also do this in co-op while playing with a friend. He can be driving a car around while you jump onto other vehicles. Make sure you are going faster because sometimes it doesn't count.

  • Leap from an airborne Agency helicopter and using a Ground Strike, kill at least one enemy.

To get a Agency Helicopter they are found on the Agency Tower Helipad. You must have a Level 5 Agility to reach the chopper pad and Level 5 Strength to have the Ground Strike attack. You Ground Strike by holding down in the air. Fly the chopper over to where some enemies are (Freaks or Cell, it doesn't matter) and get out the chopper by pressing and holding . Once you kill a enemy it will unlock.

  • Four Agents; one driver and three gunners, on a Battle Bus. Must jump through a Vehicle Stunt Ring.

The easiest Battle Bus to find is at the bottom of Unity Heights. Have 4 of your friends with you and get on the Battle Bus. You just have to make it through the stunt ring. Even if you or another player doesn't see the stunt ring, it's okay to jump through. As long as one player sees it on their screen it will count for everyone.

  • Kill 5 enemies with a single Ground Strike.

You unlock the Ground Strike attack at Strength Skill Level 5. Once you have unlocked it, jump in the air by pressing and then holding down the to strike the ground. The radius of the attack is quite large so just find yourself a group of Freaks and keep at it.

DLC: Toy Box

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Get a club and boost into the air to club at least one enemy from a height.

    (2)

To have thrusters, you must select them under the gadgets tab when selecting your weapons while spawning. Pick up any sort of melee weapon that you can find on the streets (i.e: breaking a lamp post, picking up a street sign, etc..). Once you have your club and thrusters equiped, find a group of enemies, jump into the air and boost up as high as possible by pressing . Then ground pound by holding down  (Must be Skill level 5 in Strength).

  • Hang 5 enemies off the floor using Mag Grenades.

    (6)

This doesn't have to be done with just enemies. It can be any sort of person, peace keepers, cell, etc. Start by putting a Mag grenade on a wall. Then go from person to person stringing five of them in a row. Now, put the final Mag grenade on the building to have them all be up in the air to get your achievement.

  • Set 20 people alight with your thrusters in a single airborne flight.

    (6)

To have thrusters, you must select them under the gadgets tab when selecting your weapons while spawning. Once you have your thrusters equiped, jump into the air and then press the . Once you find yourself a big amount of freaks, tap the thrust  over the enemies heads to set them on fire. Do this slowly and conserve your thrust.

  • Successfully complete 5 Tactical Locations with all agents in the same Squad Chopper.

    (41)

Create a new campaign because the beginning tactical locations are much easier. Start a new game and complete the first 2 tactical locations normally, then activate the three absorption units that appear on your HUD. After this is complete, 5 tactical locations will show up on the map. These are the best 5 to go after with your team. This must be the same chopper for all of them and CAN be done with 2-4 players, but best with 4 players.

  • Soar to over 500 meters in a single flight using your thrusters and Wingsuit.

    (4)

To start this, you must be on ground level and not starting from a high building because it won't count. If you don't have your thrusters equipped yet, go to your load out and equip them in your gadgets. Once you have your thrusters on, jump into the air, and then press . To get more height, instead of just holding  down, tap it rapidly. The thrusters will boost periodically and make you go much higher. Then press  to go into the glider. Go down and then pull back up once you are back at the top. Once you are back after one swoop, your thrusters should be back to 40. Then keep repeating until you have reached the skies and achievement unlocks.

  • Kill 20 enemies in one minute using the Squad Chopper.

    (6)

What you need to do is actually only kill 20 cell in one minute using the Squad Chopper. It is very easy to do with two people. One person fly and the person going for the achievement sits in the right side of the chopper to control the rocket launcher. Go to a tactical location, kill some enemies around it, then activate the tactical location. This should have more than 20 and will unlock once you kill the 20th person.

  • Kill 50 enemies with your thrusters in a single airborne flight.

    (8)

A great area to do this is the same as the "Burnt Offerings" achievement video. Start up high on the mountain and start shooting the massive amounts of Freaks with rocket launchers. Tap your boost to conserve your fuel, and fire rockets like mad at the big groups of freaks that you see below you. Think and map out the areas that you are going to shoot for before you begin.

  • Win a Vehicle Tag Quick Match without ever having the Orb stolen from you.

This can be done with anywhere between 2-8 players in a quick match game. Try to find a empty lobby (others may search too) and once you have found one, invite everyone that you are boosting with to the lobby. Once everyone that wants to boost is in the lobby, pick out which players will go in which order to complete the achievement. Have the selected player go and grab the orb for the entire duration without blowing up their car or having another player hit them to make them loose the orb. You must keep driving so drive around the outskirts and away from the other players as they wait for you to finish. Then rinse and repeat for others in the group that need the achievement.

  • Win a Vehicle Tag Quick Match without ever destroying your vehicle.

To win, you must have the orb for either the longest amount of time before time runs out or win by reaching 150 points all together. During this your vehicle you start with cannot be destroyed.

Refer to "Never Give It up" for how to accomplish both Vehicle Tag Quick Match achievements.

  • Develop all skills to level 6.

    (7)

You must get each of your skills to the 6th Level. This will make the circle complete and the final sixth red orb will be lit up.

The skills that you need to get up are:

    • Agility - You gain Agility Experience by collecting agility orbs and from shooting enemies from a high altitude. You will need to collect 400+ agility orbs to get to this.

    • Firearms - Killing enemies with guns is the only way. Using explosive weapons like Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers don't count.

    • Strength - You gain strength by punching, kicking, hitting, and throwing objects at enemies. You melee by pressing the  button. Pick up objects by holding down the  button, and throwing them with .

    • Explosives - Killing enemies with grenades, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, cars that explode, and explosive items count towards the Explosive skill. This will come with ease as explosives are the easiest way to eliminate multiple enemies quickly.

    • Driving - You earn driving experience by doing road races, catching renegade driving orbs, doing tricks in the air (barrel rolls, J-turns), hitting/running over and killing enemies.

DLC: Deluge

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Survive the Deluge for 15 minutes in every arena.

    (5)

This one requires you to survive 15 minutes in each of the three arenas (Hope Springs, Green Bay, Unity Heights). The best way is to start at Zone 1, Wave 1 and continue to play until you've reached Zone 2, Wave 7. If you die, you need to compensate for the time penalty you receive and keep playing. The achievement will pop up once you've survived long enough in the last arena.

  • Win a public match of Capture the Orb in every arena.

Capture the Orb is the latest addition to the team-based PvP modes in Crackdown 2. You need to capture the enemy's orb while defending your own. The following are the six maps to win on:

    • Docks
    • Block
    • Figure of Hate
    • Hostile Takeover
    • Uptown GRRRR!!
    • The Pit

Note: If you are on the leading team and everyone in the opposing team quits, the game will end and will count as a win.

  • Destroy 10,000 wave enemies in Deluge.

    (3)

This achievement is self-explanatory. You must kill 10,000 enemies of any kind in while in Deluge mode. A good way is to unlock the Project Sunburst achievement. Doing so, will unlock the helicopter. Use the helicopter to breeze through the later waves, which contain a lot more enemies. You can grind about 2,000 kills/hour using this method.

You can check your status in the pause menu, under "Achievements". Also, you can always save & quit, your kills will be saved.

  • Complete all 50 waves of a Deluge arena.

    (4)

Just start any arena and complete it until the very end. If you're hosting, don't worry about dying, you can restart at the last failed wave.

  • Achieve 5x Combo, Blast, and Air in Deluge.

    (2)

This one certainly requires a bit of luck. It requires you to gain 5x Combo, 5x Blast and 5x Air at the same time. This means you will have to kill 5 enemies with a gun (You could also melee-kill them) while standing on the ground, kill 5 enemies while in the air (Also no explosives here) and kill 5 enemies with any kind of explosives (Grenades, Rocket launcher, grenade launcher, etc.).

A simple technique is to throw a grenade into a big group of enemies, jump in the air, shoot 5 guys, land, and kill another 5 enemies.

A good place for doing this is Hope Springs, zone 4, wave 4.

  • Play Deluge with Project Sunburst enhancements or with someone who has this achievement.

    (19)

This is a viral achievement, unless you happen to own a Windows Phone 7 smartphone with Project Sunburst on it. If so, you will gain a few advantages including Peacekeeper support and several powerups. If you gain this achievement by playing with somebody who already got this achievement, you will get only 1 bonus: A helicopter.

If you are looking for someone to give you this achievement, take a look into THIS thread.

  • Kill 10 Freaks in 30 seconds by shoulder charging.

    (2)

A shoulder charge can be done by holding after running a short distance. Running into enemies will kill them on contact. Find a highly-populated area to kill some freaks. A good place to do this is the quarry in Hope Springs.

  • Score 20,000 points in 1 minute in any Deluge arena.

This will most likely be your first achievement in this DLC. If not, just cover an area full of enemies with grenades and rockets, this will give you a nice score, even without a high multiplier.

  • Score 1,000,000 points in any Deluge arena.

This one is a bit tricky. You need to gain 1 million points in any of the three arenas. The trick for this achievement is racking up your score multiplier. The higher it goes, the more points you will earn for your kills.  Avoid dying at all costs, since it resets your multiplier back to 1.

  • Kill 60 Freaks in 60 seconds using the blades on the helicopter.

    (9)

Start up a singleplayer game and hop into a helicopter. Fly to the quarry (top island of Hope Springs) and wait for the Freaks to come and spread out. Fly to the topmost path and lose height until your helicopter floats above the ground. Then just strafe to your left or right, butchering large groups of enemies and this achievement will pop up in no time.
