Introduction:
This game follows in the same direction as the two previous Xbox 360 CSI games. It is a point and click game with a few mini games thrown in. The great thing about this game is there are no collectibles, because the whole game is generally a collectible hunt anyway. You also don't need to worry about difficulty related achievements because there is only one difficulty setting. The only mildly challenging achievements are the 100% achievements and even they aren't that difficult. Overall this game is an extremely easy 1000.

Breakdown:
I will break the achievements down into sections to make it easier to follow. I will explain every missable achievement below, the rest of the achievements will unlock as you progress through the story. Here is a video walkthrough if you need it: Walkthrough (Thanks goes to GamerFusion for the video walkthrough).

Misc Achievements:
To get the three misc achievements; Reading is Fun, I Like to Watch, and Under the Hood, you need to do these three things, open up the PDA and watch a video, open up the case file, and visit the options menu. Please see the achievement guide for further information if needed.

Missable story related achievements:
There are six missable story related achievements; Not up to Code, Scavenger Hunt, A Tough job, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!, He said, She said, and Smoke the Hive. For Scavenger Hunt use this guide here. Some of them are more easily missed like Not up to code, Scavenger Hunt, and Smoke the Hive. Please see the achievement guide for further details on these achievements.

100% skill, thoroughness, and cunning achievements:
I recommend case 2 to get these achievements, this is because you can get the Scavenger hunt achievement as well, without going out of your way to get it. To do this, use this guide here. Once you do your first skill related mini game (e.g DNA comparison), do it perfectly and you will start at 100% skill. Every time you mess up your percentage will decrease, so always check it is 100% before saving. Cunning uses the same principal, when you are told to provide evidence to back up your statements, your first successful attempt will make the cunning statistic 100%. To make the cunning and skill achievements easier, make sure you save before and after everything you complete that effects the cunning and skill statistics.

For the thoroughness statistic you need to collect every bit of evidence and make sure you process everything fully. You will also need to look around every location, including the CSI lab. Make sure you look down the corridor of the CSI lab as this will add thoroughness percentage to your total. This is the only statistic that starts at 0% and works it's way up to 100%. Skill and cunning are both dependent on the number of successes compared to attempts.

Mop up:
You should now have all the achievements, if not, you can replay any case to get the ones your missing. Thanks for using this achievement guide and road map, and congratulations on the extra 1000 added onto your gamerscore!!

General gameplay tips:

  • Press  to skip dialogue if you are looking to complete the game quicker.
  • If you are going for the 100% achievements you can always save before performing a certain task, and try out all of the options available to you, and when you find the correct option for the job such as the correct DNA sample, you can then load up your previous saved game and use it without penalty.
  • Make a back up save in case you make a mistake on one of the 100% achievements and you accidentally save over your previous saved game.
  • The game will tell you when you have fully searched an area by an on screen prompt saying "Location searched". It will also put a green tick on the location.
  • To move around locations faster, use the to move the camera instead of moving the screen with the .
  • If you get stuck at any point during a case, read your emails. They can provide useful hints on what to do next. Reading emails has no bad effect on any of the achievements.

Research Grant30

Technically Perfect90
Complete a case with 100% Skill. (3)

Skill is measured in the amount of attempts it takes you to match DNA, fingerprints, materials, and chemicals correctly. To get 100% you will need to match the evidence correctly without making any mistakes.

An easy way to get 100% skill is to save before using any lab equipment that effect the skill statistic. Then, when you know the correct match, reload your previous save and match it up and then save your game again.

These achievements do stack so getting 100% skill will also get Test Tube Washer and Research Grant as well. To check your skill percentage click on the PDA, and then onto case file, and then go to statistics.

Use this guide to get this achievement easily on case 2: Guide.

Thorough Enough, Darn It15

No Stone Unturned90
Complete a case with 100% Thoroughness. (3)

To get 100% thoroughness, you will need to visit every navigable area in a certain case You will also need to check that you have got every bit of evidence and that it has been processed fully. To check this click on the PDA and then click on the evidence icon. If you have processed the evidence fully it will have a green tick on it. You will start off at 0% thoroughness and work your way up to 100%, when you have 100% thoroughness you have found every available location and processed all of the evidence. Some evidence cannot be processed and will remain unticked. Don't worry about it though, as it won't contribute to your thoroughness percentage in anyway. Look around the CSI lab to get at least 8% thoroughness, even going straight down the corridor will add thoroughness to your percentage.

These achievements do stack so getting 100% thoroughness will get you Thorough Enough, Darn it and Close Enough Counts After All as well. To check your thoroughness percentage click on the PDA, and then go on case file, and then go on statistics. Use this guide to get this achievement easily on case 2: Guide.
