Don't get cocky, kid Achievement in Dead Space

  • Don't get cocky, kid

    10

Survive the ADS Cannon with over 50% shield strength remaining

  • How to unlock Don't get cocky, kid

As soon as you cross the big cap where the asteroids are coming at you, have the door close and save right before you get on the gun. If you don't save and go below 50% shield strength on the gun you will not get the achievement. I got this achievement with 77 shield remaming. What you need to do is focus on the big rocks and the really fast ones. Fire both guns at the same time - it will kill the big rocks a lot faster. Remember that the sequence isn't scripted so it will be different every time. It took me about 3-4 times and I finally got an easy sequence. If it goes to 49, quit out and load again and you will be right next to the gun for another try. Happy rock shooting!

From: Sgt Dex Grif: "This is the segment on chapter 4 where you have to shoot down the asteroids before they hit the ship and it's pretty difficult. Remember you have two guns, and you can hold down both triggers, but the guns will overheat. Try to only concentrate on the ones headed straight for you and the huge ones that split. I noticed that some of the asteroids will fly off screen and won't damage you. Keep an eye out for them."

  • i'm having lots of trouble with this one. does anyone know how i can do it
  • just keep repeating it gave me tons of trouble got it on 20th try
  • CRAZY Achievement! F@#K!!!
  • I hate this achievement. My intense need to collect as many achievements as possible has driven me to attempt to get this achievement over and over again... forcing me to waste my life on a video game. Why, achievement? Why?!
  • This achievement is ridiculous. I've tried sooo many friggin times to get it. Haven't done better than 18%
  • Still haven't got it, but instead of wasting time I reccomen quitting and reloading over and over again. :
  • i got this on just about the 50th try (no exageration)but the try that i beat it on i only lost 5% of my sheild its all about the randomized order in which the rocks come. to offer any advice prioritize aim for the biggest asteroids first then all fastasteroids then slow asteriods and dont use both triggers fire just one and do not spray use a burst on the big rocks. i am trying to get all of the acheivements before Dead Space 2 comes out all i have left are the flamethrower kills and the impossible mode along with "Maxed out"
  • I got this in 15 tries. I suggest only using one of your triggers to (LT or RT)and only use them both at the same time for the larger asteroids. And keeps your laser pointed at the centre of the screen, the closer the asteriods get the harder it is to come back to the centre and defend the ship. Take your time, and stay calm :)
  • i got it second try, first try just barely got it with only 2% left. You just need to take your time, line up your shots and make sure your gun doesnt overheat.
  • It'll take some time, but it is Attainable. Just keep reloading the save before you get in the gun to start the sequence.
  • I got it around the 5th time or so, but that's only because I actually passed the section on that try, I was unaware there even was an achievement :/
  • harder than it looks.
  • crazy hard bro
  • I got destroyed the first 7 times but on my 8th I got really lucky. Luck is a big factor. Love the Star Wars reference though.
  • I think the really horrible thing about this is the perspective, instead of looking down the sights of the gun you're using, you have this elevated angle to the camera that makes aiming *so* much more difficult than it has to be, argh!
  • My buddy got this for me. I reeeally hope there aren't any of these in 2.
  • SECRET I discovered a way to make this alot easier. Only works if you have an HD tv preferibly 1080p. First go to your hdtv settings and adjust the black level to, dark or extended. This will allow for objects (astroids) to be more easily visible in the background. Second, and this is key, adjust your aspect ratio to (ZOOM). This will make the center of the screen larger allowing you to see astroids larger. Easier to target. I thought of this when i was frustrated that the in game window did not take up the entire screen. I hope this helps everyone. Please comment or let me know if this helps you. ok the quick guide. HDtv only 1) Adjust black level to dark or extended. 2) Adjust aspect ratio to Zoom. Enjoy
  • You could just turn the brightness up in game. It makes the asteroids a little easier to see.
  • Don't use both cannons at the same time, otherwise it jams. keep shooting each cannon individually. I somehow managed to clear this with 93% integrity left.
  • I managed to do it after trying 8 times. Passed it with a 54% integrity. HINT shoot with one cannon and try to shoot at the one's that are coming from the center do not over heat cannon and it will take u alot of times in order to get it. It was hard but very interesting never had spend so much time trying to get an achievement, but it's a good satisfaction when it is achieved
  • @19 - 93% integrity left???. Weird, once the scene starts it always shows me the hull integrity starting at 85%. How on earth did you get 93%? Inquiring minds want to know
  • are there any tricks for aiming cause i find thats where i have a problem, i can see them coming good enough but cant get the cannon aimed at them quick enough
  • Just use 1 of the cannons, don't let it overheat. Play it on easy, i'm pretty sure they asteroids do less damage on lower difficulties. I always aim at the closer ones and the bigger ones that break into smaller chunks. Adjust ur sensitivity to move faster. There are a lot of ways to do it. I was lucky enough to get this sucker on one of my first tries when i was in iraq. Hard drive busted before i could connect it to XBL worthy internet. Had to do it again.U just have to keep trying
  • took me approx. 20 times. at least the reloading is not long... I give EA that. looking so forward to playing Dead Space 2. This game is bringing back some great nightmares.
  • Tried all suggestions above and I'd like to add... get lots of sleep and have no distractions when attempting this. I'm on my 15th try and can't get over 30%.
  • HotSauce217... You're a genius. Thank you!
  • This will make it so much easier. 1) Don't use both guns at the same time. 2) If an asteroid comes from the left use the left cannon and vice versa, it makes it easier to lead your shots. 3) Max the games brightness and adjust stick sensitivity. Should be cake.
  • Brutal.
  • Can anyone confirm that the asteroids do less damage on easy difficulty?? I've tried this like 15 times on medium and I've gotten tantalizingly close to pulling it off a couple times, but this is getting pretty irritating. Maybe I could get it when I play through on easy for the One Gun ach,, but I want it NOW!! :> Confirmation anyone?
  • LOL!! ok,, I just got it (at least 25 trys) and I can't believe what helped me. I shot a bunch of them until the coast was relatively clear, maybe 1 or 2 asteroids still on the way, and then paused! got up, stretched, had a drink, thought a happy thought or 2,, then unpaused and went back at it. I must have been close to half-way done when I paused cuz it was all over soon, and my xbox told me not to get cocky. a little noobish, I know,, but if you've tried to get this one so many times you lost count,, pause half-way through-take a breather
  • I think I must have tried this somewhere between 5-15 times. I managed to do it after changing my sensitivity of my controller, upping the brightness of dead space and then further tweaking the brightness of my TV. This allowed me to see the asteroids from way off in the distance. I finished with somewhere in the region of 75% +
  • Easy, got it 2nd try. Used both lasers simultaniously, seemed to make it easier than one at a time. Just don't go too OTT with the laser usage to avoid overheats, but don'tbe too cautious either.
  • did everyone else start with 85% shield strength? i got it 4th try, had like 65% left.
  • I just can't seem to get this.... does it make any difference what difficulty its on? I started a game straight from Hard mode.
  • I am not in the mood for this cocksucking bullshit right now, I'll try it later...
  • FUUUUUUUUUU... I thought i could do the achievement using the ASD when you have to kill some monster but no, it just works on the asteroids part, DAMN IT I THOUGHT I HAD IT
  • I had 53% left and I knew I was almost there. And all of the sudden I saw this massive group coming, and I knew I couldn't hit them all, a few slipped through and I was like; No, no, nonononononoNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *blieb* YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Half a second later and I would not have made it, damn that gives a rush haha
  • I'm sorry for messing up the comments :/ I didn't know that :(
  • Oh my gawd I can't get this! I almost threw the remote at the wall, but my girlfriend happened to be over to stop me XD
  • I FINALLY GOT IT!!!! AND I HAD 71% LEFT! Everything these guys posted is true... all except that one guy who said to just point at the center of the screen and hold both triggers. That's just stupid. I am Officially 1000/1000G on Dead Space! Now I can stop playing it and concentrating on Dead Space 2
  • This took me a while but well worth it.
  • I tried this several times on my normal run throughs and failed everytime. Then wouldn't you know it, I got this first try on my impossible run through. It was definitely an easy randomization (only three, yes THREE large asteroids). Just shot as many of the little asteroids as possible and let some of them come through. I ended with 55% shield remaining. Turning up the brightness also was a great help.
  • Finally got this on my 20th try. For such a short sequence, it was extremely aggravating. It shouldn't get me (and I'm sure others) annoyed that quickly, but I almost quit for the day on several occasions when I got blasted 30 seconds in. Ridiculous.
  • I gave up on my 20th try. Will try again later on.
  • finally got it ....what a pain...anyway try zooming in if you got hdtv,it helps and get a 4 leaf clover cus your gonna need luck too
  • The aiming with this thing feels so crappy... Also, it'd be awesome if they included sensitivity settings. But they didn't. Damn this achievement sucks dick.
  • so hard D:
  • oh yeah baby! 51% left for integrity...so close to failure....
  • Screw that. Most pain in the a$$ achievement ever.
  • WORST CHEEVO EVER. :| I only just managed to pass it once with 6% integrity left, this achievement sucks ass.
  • I hate the achievement but I love the Star Wars reference :D
  • definitely one of the most annoying ones in the game...even Slugger is easy on impossible, and I don't think the difficulty matters, it's still all the same
  • took me quite a few tries but I finally got it I went to impossible to see if it made a difference and it kind of did so I went back to easy with max brightness and finally got it only tip I can give is save right at that station thats in the room with you and if you fail let the asteroids kill you and just keep trying
  • damnn hotsouce217 dude you rock that wass very helpfull mannnn i tried and tried and allways fail but this quick trick awsome thank dude know only a couple achivement more and complete the game thank man
  • To anybody who still needs this. I found using only one cannon until the bigger asteroids come helps keeps the guns from overheating. This means you can have a more constant stream of bullets to help defend. I just got this on my third try with this strategy. Good Luck
  • this one is annoying. when i finally completed it, i did it with only 71% damage. best tips i can give are turn the game brightness all the way up, turn your tv brightness 3/4 of the way up, shoot them before they get to close, and if there is one stray plus a cluster, dont worry about the stary focus on the cluster. it is ramdom, but i stood behind the chair and waited until i was ready. since it is random there is now technique other than helpful tips. hope they helped.
  • I was having trouble just getting past this section, let alone the achievement. I stopped playing it for ages then managed it in one go. Luck I guess.
  • FINALLY!!! this son of a gun took at least 25-30 tries! I finally decided to use the brightness and zoom factor after several attempts fell 45%-49%... took me a few more runs at it but finally got past with a 51%
  • this has nothin to do with the achievement but when i played this game for the firs time i didnt even know u couald use bith triggers. im stupid sometimes.
  • its easy on easy mode!!!i got it in that way!!
  • I couldn't get this or the Slugger achievements for the life of me. I probably tried each one 50+ time and nothing. Yesterday, a year and a half since the last time I played the game, I decided to try for them. I got both of them on my first try! Just keep at them and you'll eventually get them.
  • One of the most annoying Achievements, i have ever tried to get. took 20+ tries finally got it. and swore i would never do it again. then i realized i want 100% completion sometime on the game.
  • I remember having many wars with the gunship. got it on my 3rd time. It was easy.
  • One of the toughest achievements ever. worth more than what is it 10 gs.
  • Took me about 8 or 9 tries, then just about managed it with 51% left. I also agree that alternating the fire between triggers and only using both at the same time for bigger asteroids is the best way to do it, it also helps to stagger the bursts rather than firing both guns at the same time, as you're more likely to hit something
  • It took me about 15 tries, and I ntocited that its about coincident. It isn´t about you, but it depends how it is scripted.
  • Pure insanity. Took 20+ times, but did everything in the comment about brightness and my TV aspect to get this one.
  • Okay, the first two times were damn ridiculous. But I got it on the third try with a bunch of trigger-mashing and luck. It is scripted randomly. I can attest to that from popping the achievement in only 3 tries. I've had my share of frustrating achievements. Looks like I dodged this one easily, haha. Good luck everyone.
  • jajajjajaja 3 times it took me on impossible mode =)
  • Here's how to get it, for those of you that are still having trouble. 1: Turn down your volume all the way, noise will only be a distraction. 2: If you have a small tv, get close to it, you wont go blind, I promise. 3: Turn up your tv's brightness, thus making the asteroids easier to se. 4: See which one of your trigger fingers is faster. 5: Use the side of the cannon that your prominent trigger finger controls on all of the small asteroids. Use both cannons on the big ones. 6: As soon as you see a bigger asteroid, obliterate it, a few smaller ones hitting the ship are worth not having the big ones do 20+ damage. 7: All in all, keep calm. This is a difficult achievement, no doubt about that, but if you follow these tips and keep a cool head, you should be able to pass with 5
  • no TOO hard, i noticed that smaller asteroids did next to no damage, so i tried to pop em as much as i could, but u must concentrate on the big f******. they do the most damage. getting hit by smaller ones every now and then isnt too bad. did it around the 7-8th try.
  • , but i concentrated on the big f******, they're the ones to watch for.
  • Sounds dumb, but on my first try with my TV on mute I DID IT!!! xD
  • This is never gonna happen for me. I beat it every time with 2% left. Annd once I got 8%...once...This achievement makes me sad, I love this game.
  • IT HAPPENED!
  • My dude did it, 2nd try. WTF... I treid for hours!
  • This is one of the hardest achievements I have gone for - I'm playing on the 2nd most difficult setting and I can't even make it past that to progress, gonna just try and make it and come back later.
  • this achievement was hard, but like other people say on here, TURN DOWN THE SOUND!! I did it in 1 try on mute!! SOOOO crazy huh?
  • it took me forever to gt this. I just ldidnt play for a month and came back and got it. biggest pain in the ass
  • Took me about five tries. I had it black and white, TV zoomed in. Only tip I can give is fire when they are still in distance and focus mainly on middle. -Faxer
  • Pro tip: after you have loaded / purposely died, do the following: 1. Open the door to the airlock right behind the chair 2. With the airlock open to outside, jump into the chair while your oxygen meter is running 3. The door will shut when you get into the chair... Doing this will eliminate the mist / fog outside the glass where the asteriods are coming from and make it pitch black :). Much easier this way. Didnt have to mess with brightness or anything.
  • This achievement was tough. This was one of the last achievements I got in this game. Way harder than the rest of it.
  • I unlocked this with exactly 50% shield strength remaining. Robot lady voice stated "shield integrity less than 50%" but I noticed the gauge showed exactly 50% so I played it out. Glad I did because I had been trying and failing for at least a half hour. If the gauge shows 50% or more you should get this one too.

  • PS Did it on Medium difficulty on second play through.
  • Guys and girls, as you can probably already tell this achievement is one of those deserving few with the title of an "achievement". If you're one of the majority who are yelling, screaming, urging to break things, etc, than this achievement is definitely doing its job. Be patient, keep at it. There is a big chance you WILL get it with 50% armor remaining. If you really feel like you're going to fail, just let yourself die, or quit and reload (that is if you saved before you jumped on). PATIENCE!! =)
  • I got this easily first try because I own a XIM3. Umad?
  • First try with no sound on, with still 78% out of starting 85% damn.
  • Finally did it, took me 50 minutes on Easy, I recommend turning all the lights off, getting close to your TV and turning up it's brightness all the way, i also muted my TV and put on some music to keep me going.
  • well at least i kno im not the only peraon whos gone thrugh hell for this one
  • to up date my last message it took ne almost an hour to get this one
  • Probably one of the hardest part of the game ! Turn up the brightness and do your best.
  • Already missed this achievement on my first 2 play throughs. I did try a few times the second play through, but after failing several times I lost patience and just continued with the game. I'll have to really commit to the next play through. Damn...really not looking forward to it after reading all these comments.
  • As I am sure and really hope alot of people are as dumb as myself I just want to clarify that you can hold down the trigger. it made the whole thing alot easier for me!
  • Is it actually difficult even on easy?
  • For me it was easier than i thought it would be. Turn up your brightness and shoot the big ones and fast ones first like it says in the guide
  • Worst achievement ever... of all time. Took me forever but just got it. Tip: Raise both the game & TV's brightness settings and lower the sensitivity in profile game preferences. Found it alot easier doing it this way. Hope this helps :)
  • Almost had it today, went under 50 literally 2 seconds before the cannon reactivated. Such BS, hopefully get it sometime this week and get it out of the way
  • got it in my 5th try
  • Worst achievement I've ever seen. Brightness up, airlock open, and I still can't even SURVIVE the freakin' thing. Nada after three attempts. Must be having a bad run, just continually spams me with impossible barrages at the beginning and end. Won't even attempt this one. This segment has pretty close to turned me off the damn game.
  • what helped me was taking a week off from this game. relaxed, not zombie/alien stressed out. came back, on my third try I got it. i havent "YES"'ed to an achievement like I have for this one!
  • Oh yes! I got it!! finally
  • idk what was a bigger pain this or upgrading all your weapons but han solo ftw
  • Shoot with 1, but if you dont see any, just shoot in the middle. You may overheat once but you hit a whole bunch that you wouldnt normally see.
  • FINALLY!!!! Took me two hours! TV on mute and open the door to the airlock before you sit!
  • this took me about 15 times to do, all you have to do is save before and restart when you fail. Its just trying to get it with out getting hit. I think I final did it with like 51%
  • Give it a try with sound turned off. Helped me getting it. Takes away a mit of the pressure from the "One more second" trash talk.
  • does it go by difficulty setting or is it the same on all difficultys?
  • i really don't like this on i still cant get it...
  • Very easy if you play shooters regularly, got it 3rd attempt and didn't even know it was an achievement. Before you start make peace with that fact that you can't get them all. Don't chase after asteroids, once you chase one unsuccessfully it's hard to recover. Attack the ones in clusters, and the ones that look closer as soon as they appear. They look closer immediately because they are the bigger ones. They take about 10% for each of these that hit. Target all of those and keep shooting after they explode because they split into 2-4 smaller, faster moving asteroids.
  • It's simple with the right strat. Use only 1 cannon at any given moment always keeping an eye on the overheating. Use both cannons only against large asteroids. ...And practice til you get it. 2nd attempt.
  • Damn, the mute the TV trick totally worked, got it after 1 try on mute....and this used to be the bain of my existance....
  • Its not that hard just don't loose your focus It took me 4 tries
  • agreed turn your brightness up to max aswell.
  • for fuck sakes...you dont even start with 100 so im hoping 42 or higher counts...i got the brightness all the way but im rocking an old tube tv. i had achievements like this...so stupid
  • This isn't really that bad. I did it 3 tries after reading everything people suggested here. High brightness, turn the volume off or listen to music whichever you feel you'll do your best. Use your trigger finger to shoot all asteroids. Use both simultaneously at the big asteroids to take them out fast. If you're getting frustrated take a break and go back later.
  • I just got this achievement in 6 attempts with 51%. Im so lucky!
  • yes son i have done it 4th time 57% left :)
  • This achievement is way too difficult and infuriating for the measly 10 gps it gives you. Waste of time and not worth the frustration trying to get. I've tried every suggestion and still can't get it. The crappy joystick controls are far too sloppy; now if I could use a mouse to control the cannon... then it would be easy as pie.
  • AT LONG LAST....this was the last one i needed to get the full 1000gs. it helped me to turn out the lights and sit VARY clost to the screen, also try switching the screen format from standard to widescreen (and back again) that made it better to see.
  • After 1 hour+ of dirty words i finally got it. I hate dead space from now on lol. Max brightness ingame and on TV also using zoom on TV made it à little easier. Oh and turned of sound aswell.
  • Just let your son do it. I did lol
  • I just took a break after about 10 failures, got into the most focused gaming 'stance' about a foot from my tv and blasted the fuck out of some asteroids. finished with 65.
  • got it 4th time, not hard just fast move
  • Got on 3rd try, focus on larger rocks and keep trying, don't give up.
  • not sure if it's been clarified, but despite the description, you can still get the achievement if it's exactly 50% If you're having trouble with overheating, try to keep calm and shoot both barrels at the same time, and don't treat it like a machine gun.
  • I thought this was the hardest cheevo in the game. My way of doing it was to raise up the brightness, either in the game menu or TV, that way you can see the asteroids coming from far away.
  • another little easy way to get it it is save on 001 and then amek another save on 002,so just in case you didnt get it but still beat it,you can go to that 2nd save just for the achvie (i haven't gotten it myself so xD)
  • This was one of the hardest achievements I got, like, ever. My advice, turn off sound (so you won't get all panic while shooting), and play it while listening to classic music. It works for me. :)
  • Just got this, definately rage material!
  • Not to seem like a dick or anything but it's not actually that difficult. On my first playthrough i didn't know about the achievement so i just took a load of damage but on the second playthrough on normal mode i started at 85% and finished on 53%, didn't fail once. Advice i can give is #1. focus #2. dont fire unless you need to. (theres no real need to randomly fire while theyre off in the distance) #3. only use ONE side of the gun, i did most of it with the left side, and had brief moments rapid firing both sides to take out the parts of the bigger rocks (pull the R trigger straight after the L to create rapid fire, dont have them firing together and as soon as youre done, cool down for a second and get back to it) #4. more focus, It really isnt that hard, i read these pos
  • Got it on my 5th try. I did the full brightness, mute TV, and some good music "trick" Wasn't too hard, my twitch FPS shooter experiences came in handy for this one for sure.
  • i got so frustrated doing this my first playthrough and i managed to grab this on my 4th try
  • Finally got this after about a dozen tries. I have to say using the left for rocks on the left and vise versa is your best bet.
  • Tried this numerous times, left the game for awhile and came back. No go. Looks like 990 for Dead Space. That's a shame cause this was an otherwise great game.
  • I have been trying this for years sadly, I go on a dead space kick start playing the game and want this achievement and then nothing...I waited a year or so tried again with these tricks. I even had to ask a friend to try, as I am not good at fps and keeping a steady hand when moving, I tried the music, brightness, opening the door and nothing, I must just suck and its really frustrating
  • Got it on about 15th time. Just shot at the ones in front, big buggers & speedy Gonzales ones mainly,TV on so bright I thought i was in heaven, turn the volume down low so u can barely hear. When the voice says 1min and you start panicking just paused have a quick breather.
  • man this achievement blows, i had a hard enough time just getting past it...now to find out theres an achievement linked to it, uuuuugh!
  • Right, this is the first achievement on this game I actually had a problem with at first. It seemed impossible. After a few goes on my own I read some hints and tips and after trying those, I got it first time, with 55% of the hull remaining. What I did to my set-up was: 1. Turn up your in-game brightness to the highest level. Space is a dark place. 2. Turn on a zoom-mode on your TV. Further you zoom, the bigger the asteroids appear. 3. With your TV on zoom you really don't need to change the sensitivity at all. Your aim will end up whizzing past asteroids. Hints. 1. Use one gun, not both. Both at once run out of ammo far too quickly. 2. Although asteroids on the far left and right might appear onscreen first, it will be the asteroids in the centre of the screen that reach y
  • I just listened to the top guy and got the cheev first try on hard difficulty. For anybody trying to get this cheev just stay calm and do yo thang
  • Somehow I got it when I had 51 percent hull integrity. Not a very easy achievement that's for sure lol
  • Got it in like my 10th attempt and with exactly 50% shield percent so it's a close one
  • Tried 10 times, not worth the frustration
  • Just got this... My last DS achievement! Took me many times and a lot of cursing screams...
  • I bought Dead Space in 2008 two days after it came out, got the Elite pack. I've played it once or twice every single year. I can honestly nearly play it with my eyes closed. Clearly, I like this game. I've probably tried for this achievement about 80 to 100 times. Today I decided to really try, properly. After failing 9 times, I turned the sound off. Got in 1 go. I feel like we all deserve some kind of real-world recognition, rather than a paltry 10G. Hull Integrity 63% Take that Visceral.

  • Thanks for all the advice, got it with 61 left. For those struggling just stay persistent, there is a definite gap in difficulty in various attempts. I found muting really does help,(maybe a focus/mental thing) got it on my 2nd try after prob 10-12 attempts. Just to reiterate, imo, tap Lt or Rt for those on either side of screen respectively and double tap both for the larger. Also don't be afraid to let some smaller ones through. The less you have to swerve the better, try and stay centered.

  • I'm sure no one's looking at this these days. Came back to this game after years and forgot about this one. As many said Muting the TV seemed to help a ton, as did opening the airlock before playing. Gave up last night, picked it up again today got it after about 5 tries. 73% Hull integrity All the tips are above are very helpful, but honestly I do think there's a bit of RNG luck at play here too. The balance of regular, big, and fast asteroids varied quite a bit from try to try. PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE are key.
