Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Achievements
Consciousness is Over-rated15
Knock out 100 enemies in a single playthrough.

Again, remember that to knock your target out, you must only tap  and not hold it. You'll want to do pretty much the same thing as mentioned in the 'Oppurtunist' achievement above.

When you have a chance to take someone down, do so. It shouldn't take too long for you to obtain this achievement but it will come at least two 3rds of the way through. You're bound to miss a fair few enemies on your journey but don't fret as there are plenty about!

This counts all pacifist "kills", not just takedowns

At #3

Difference: A takedown is the quick melee event that takes out and opponent. It can be either a knockout(tapping the button) or a kill(holding the button). For this achievement, only the knockout version counts. A "knockout" can also be achieved with any of the non-lethal weapons(stun gun, tranquilizer rifle(don't hit them in the head), or the electronic pulse gun found in the police station armory).

Happy hunting.

@#5. how does a tranq hit on the head kill them. ive seen people who say that it does but it still has the asleep icon when you approach their corpse.

#7 I think it depends on the 'victims' dermal protection/helmet. I've had some die and some not. On one of the loading screens I had it said something about headshots might not kill in one shot if they have dermal protection etc.

I have never had any hostiles die from a headshot with a tranq. Ever. It is better practice to hit them in the head, anyway, as the effect of the tranq is typically immediate (unless they have dermal protection, etc). This prevents the hostile from becoming alarmed and making pacifism a pain in the rear. Additionally, you get Marksman *and* Merciful Soul this way.

@7 I've had quite a few die from sniping them in the head with the Tranq rifle. I don't know what determines whether they die or not. I'd suggest just saving really often in multiple slots.

@9 It's not good practice if you're going for the Pacifist achievement however, because they count as killed by your hand.

When using the tranq rifle its best to shoot them in the neck

@9 I've had guy with the "skull" icon show up after shooting them with a tranq rifle. In fact, there was one where the guys was sitting on a couch, I saved right before taking the shot. 5 times in a row I shot him with the tranq gun, then knocked out his buddy when he got up to check, and when I went over to make sure he was sleeping it showed that he was dead. Even though I was shooting him in the f*ing arm. So I always check every single person I've shot with the tranq rifle, and then I check them again. And you get the Merciful Soul regardless of where in the body you shoot them I believe.

I think that the zombies in Panchaea count as civilians (which means that they don't count for the achievement) when you knock them out, I've knocked about 50 of them now (and I got the other achievement for knocking 50 before that) so I was already supposed to the the achievement

I also wanted a counter but in the end got this natural doing a Pacifist play through.
