Complete The Knife of Dunwall without killing anyone

For each mission, make sure to be loaded up with plenty of sleep darts. Choke out any enemies in your way and dart any enemies that are facing you or if they’re too far away to reach. Make sure not to hit enemies in the head with sleep darts, it will kill them. Darting enemies that are standing on high ledges or near water may cause them to fall and die, so be careful. For each mission, there is a non-lethal way to handle all main targets:

Mission 1 - A Captain of Industry: After interrogating Rothwild, you are given three options. You can either prepare him for the crate or leave him in the chair; both options will keep him alive.

Mission 2 - Eminent Domain: Meet with the prisoner after entering the legal district. Go to his apartment and take the required items. Unlock Apartment 10 and pick up the odorous bag. Locate Timsh in his estate and pickpocket him, which will switch the forged letter you have with his letter of immunity. Enter the basement of the estate and place the odorous bag in the ventilation system. Wait until Timsh is neutralized, then finish off the mission.

Mission 3 - The Surge: Knock out any Overseers in your way, including Overseer Hume. At the end of mission, choose to capture the remaining Overseers and spare Billie Lurk’s life, assuming you have completed the game in Low Chaos up until this point.

Kinda feels out of character to do this as Daud :P

I just hope this isn't as glitchy as the achievement in the main game!!

Why make a game based around killing people in different ways then make a list that tells people not to experience the majority of the content, I hate things like this.

@3, but there's the high chaos achievement. As well as 'rats and ashes' and 'message from the empress' which both involve kills. The achievements focus on both killing and stealth.

@3, it just allows the player to play the same game in different ways. Yes the game is about killing people, which is why they also have the No Regrets achievement for completing it in High Choas (i.e. lots of killing)

@3, have you ever seen the F.E.A.R. achievements? It's like, "Do it again without the fun."

It makes sense as Daud if you watch how the game plays while doing it. Also remember Daud is haunted by his last contract, so sparing lives makes more sense with how he is now.

I agree with #10. Daud is suffering from deep remorse, not killing people may somewhat calm his soul you know. I liked clean hands in the main story because it was a challenge. If you don't want a challenge but want the achievement just play it through on the easiest difficulty..

@3 because its for people who value stealth over combat. I, for one, love working out the enemies movement and the avoiding them without being seen... Like a ninja basically. Kill only those you have to, if you have to.

Part of why I love this game is because it's the closest I can get to the old Thief series.

@7 No, it's glitchy. The status screen at the end of every mission has a box next to "Didn't kill anyone." My first no-kill playthrough, every box was checked, and I didn't get the achievement.

@10 It is out of character, actually. Yes, Daud is remorseful, but there's a ton of evidence in the Flooded District mission in the main game that shows he's just as ruthless as ever. The note by the sleep darts saying they're not to be used to prevent collateral damage, the overseer whose legs were shattered by Daud and left in a pit to die--the fact that every overseer in the whole district was killed, for that matter.

Killing the whale does NOT count towards "killing anyone." I can confirm this, however PETA might not agree.

Does having Amy Kill Rothwild screw up the achievement?

For those having trouble with this glitchy achievement… you have to do all 3 missions in order from start to finish… if you don't do the missions in order you WON'T get the achievement… I originally did it in the order of 2,3,1. Even though the No Kills box was checked I did not get the achievement so I did them all from the start in order and got it. You can rush the levels pretty easy if you save often.
