Complete The Brigmore Witches without killing anyone

Do not kill anybody, not even targets, there is always an alternate way. Dog Skull crushing will count as a kill too, so avoid that as well.

  • Corvo - You can let him just kill you (might as well to be safe) or you can fight back and beat him, and it shouldn't affect this achievement.
  • Old Geezer (leader of The Hatter gang) - He will ask you to kill him, just ignore him and leave. He will give you the code to the door that is blocking your way to the engine you need, if you kill him. However, you can still get the code on a paper in the sewers. For me the code was 984, however it is always random.
  • Delilah - When you are in the void she will begin a ritual, go further back on a different island behind her and get the painting on there. Now wait for her to finish talking to her painting and she will turn around and start walking back, this is your chance to go and switch the paintings. After she completes her ritual with the wrong painting she will be eliminated in a non-lethal matter.

Note: If you want to do the Granny Rags side mission on Mission 3, you can do it without killing. Make sure you pick up already dead bodies from the gang fights to bring to the ritual as the bride and groom. Do not knock out a male and female to bring because it will kill them. Also, if you are looking for the ring it is in a bush in the back alleyway behind Jeremy's (the Black Market merchant) house. It will help to have Void Gaze II to find it, it is also with a safe key for the abandoned Hatter safe in the same area just across the canal.

Really trying to not get detected/killing made the game fun for me.

This isn't CoD or Gears of War or even Assassin's Creed. The no kill/alert playthrough on this game made it more of a challenge. Anyone can run into a room and hack everyone to death or shoot from across the room. Too many games these days hold the players hands and award them for doing the most simple of things, it's good to see games like this offer a challenge.

@5 completly agree!!

"In The Shadows" - as I call it - playtrough was by far the most difficult and entertaining one.

Update. Finally got this achievement and got to say, it was easier then I expected. My playthough was done on the easiest difficulty, and I completed it in less then 3hrs. I'll lend those of you who are attempting this achievement an hand.

Playing a stealth approach to this DLC, I only went for the main objective. All the other optional objectives are.. optional. Completing just the main objective will save you a ton of time as well as a bunch of frustration and rerun. Trust me, you'll be surprised at how fast you'll run through the DLC. Each level should take at least 20mins if done quickly. Also don't go for runes or bone charms. upgrading your skills is not necessary and is just a waste of time. Just like the campaign, Both DLCs can be done with just the Blink skill ( I'll advise tha

IMPORTANT TIP: I just finished going through the DLC with no kills or alerts and I found out it is ok to kill Corvo at the begging of the DLC when your in the dream sequence playing as Daud. So it is ok to kill Corvo in the begging of the DLC and it will not void the achievements for going through the DLC with no kills or alerts.

that upgrading to Blink 2 is extremely helpful though for those high to reach places.)

- You'll also want to try an stay well above the ground at all times. There are tons of high spots you can blink towards, you just have to look.

- You will encounter some spots where passing the enemy is just not possible. The way I handled this was to use the sleeping darts. Buy as many sleeping darts as you can because they really come in handy.

- While also avoiding Runes and Charms. You'll also want to avoid trying to collect miscellaneous stuff - ex. Money, Collectables, items, etc. These things aren't necessary for the playthrough and trying to go for them will make things a little difficult.

- Use mana wisely. Let your mana recharge after every use. You don'

Continued: don't want to get stuck without any mana. Blink is your ticket to success, and without mana no blink.

Lastly, I'll add that I did happen to get the "Freeze Time" upgrade. Reason being is because near the end of mission 2 - The Dead Eel vs. The Hatters Gang level - just after you install the engine item for the Udina, the Brigmore Witches will quickly and viciously appear resulting in an automatic spotting for you. To combat this, I used "Freeze Time" just before I installed the engine item. While time was slowed/ frozen, I installed it and quickly blinked to the top of the ship - where the the horn is - and hid in there till the gang took out the witches.

Hope This Helps.

Was it just me, or was this easier than KoD? Even while going for Silence is Golden and the 10,000 coins chievos at the same time, for some reason I didn't have as much trouble as I did on the previous dlc.

Anyway, here's one video with all achievements in case you need any help:

@11, you'll find it hard to get stuck without mana unless you spam freeze time which is just unneccessary. But either way, you can't leave yourself unable to blink. You will always have a tiny bit of regenerating mana which will be enough for 1 blink.

I just wanted to query that in the guide it mentions doing Granny Rags' "Wedding" recipe kills the "bride" and "groom" as it certainly didn't for me. Or if it did kill them, it DID NOT void my "no kills".

Also the guide doesn't make it clear, but to get a non lethal for the ship part, simply walk into the room while Geezer is in there with his doctor to make a deal with the doctor, rather than Geezer.

Though you technically don't even need to do Doctor Trimble's quest as in the sewers you will find a corpse (just past the room with the witch crying for help) that has a key and a note. The key opens a locker in the room above the room where you do Granny Rags' recipe and inside said locker is a note with the door code on it so you can go grab the ship part. Though to be honest you may as well do Trimble's quest.

In missin 3 you may do Bride/groom with knocked out enemies safely - ritual does not count as killing them (just tested).

I took out a dog and crushed three inactive skulls in the manor and still got credit for not killing anyone. Animals and creatures don't count. (This means you can remove pesky hagfish from the water with Pull and drop them on the ground to die.)

So I just played through the DLC and afterwards I made sure i didn't kill or alerted anyone by playing through every individually mission however the stats show that I have completed the missions and made it without alerting/killing anyone but my achievement doesn't show.. Do I have to make a new game and play through it again?

hope someone can help...
