Welcome to Disney-Pixar’s Up. This game is based on the animated movie by the same name. Overall this game is exceptionally easy and should present very little if any challenge to even the most casual of gamers. Having played numerous movie tie-ins and kids games, this is by far one of the easiest I have ever played. Very simple game play and no challenge levels - very common in this type of game - makes this game a breeze. Sit back and enjoy this game and add another 1000 to your score.

Step 1: Campaign / Story Mode
There are eleven levels in story mode. All are very easy and revolve around the two main characters - Carl and Russell. You need to play the majority of the game as Russell because he is the one who can catch the bugs (Carl will squish the bugs). Keep in mind that you need to collect 6000 Merit Badges (the coins scattered throughout the game) and a number of different bugs and butterflies. On a few occasions you will get to play as the dog, Dug. If you are playing as Dug you should also be on the lookout for dig spots on the ground. There is an exceptional Artifact, Mementos, and Bone guide found here: Artifacts/Mementos/Watermelons & Bones Locations. Make sure you have the page open while you are playing the game. He also covered the missable achievements, so if you are following the guide you should have very little trouble.

Step 2: Quest Cards
The quest cards are unlocked by collecting Merit Badges. For every 400 Merit Badges you unlock another Quest Card. The cards unlock the Concept Art and Multiplayer Maps.

In order to complete the Quest Card you must collect a certain number of bugs as well as specific Mementos and Artifacts. You can check your Quest Cards through the Start Menu. If you need help finding specific bugs check the Bug guide. Just remember to play as Russell and collect every Merit Badge and bug you see and break every object you can find.

Step 3: Clean Up
After you have completed the game and the quest cards you should have very little left to do. Check the achievement guide to see what you are missing and go after it.

You should now have your 1000 on Disney-Pixar's Up. This game is wonderfully simple and easy to play. At times the camera angle can get in your way, but still should not hamper you that much. Make sure you read through the achievement guide first to get a good understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. Enjoy the game and move on to the next one.

x360a would like to thank Jedi ObiJoe for this Road Map

Adventure is Out There15
Defeat the first wave of combat planes.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

For your first mission you will be flying a plane. Your objective is to protect the house which is under attack by a bunch of enemy planes. In order to progress you must destroy four enemy planes.

Pressing the Button shoots your plane’s guns – holding the Button will continually shoot the guns at a fast rate. You maneuver your plane by using the . The controls are inverted and I was unable to find a menu option to change it. Fortunately this mission is very short.

In order to shoot down an enemy plane you must first align your targeting marker (the circle in the center of the screen) with an enemy plane. When you are properly aligned the targeting marker will turn red. Continue shooting the enemy planes until they are destroyed.
To Paradise Falls15
Complete the level to start Carl's journey to Paradise Falls.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 2. Simply play through Level 2 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. To help with some of the badges and bug collecting later it is in your best interest to play through the majority of the level with Russell. Playing as Russell you can collect bugs with your net. When you are near the bugs press the Button to catch them. You will need to collect a number of different bugs throughout the game so go ahead and start now. Press the to change characters.
A Bird Named Kevin15
Find Kevin before Muntz does.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 3. Simply play through Level 3 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. During this mission you will have your first opportunity to choose a character to use during the “Dog Ambush”.

After you find Kevin you will be attacked by one of the dogs. You will have to choose which character to use. I don’t believe there is any difference in the character selection, so you can pick either. I have seen threads saying that the achievement for defending against 10 dog ambushes was not unlocking with Russell, so I stuck with Carl for most of the game. Follow the on screen prompts to defeat the dog and continue the level.
Slide and Slither20
Defeat the giant Anaconda. (2)
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

You will face the Anaconda at the end of Level 4. You defeat the Anaconda by getting it to attack the Electric Eels. There are three spots in the final area where you must use Russell to get to a platform above the water. Pressing the Button near the edge will lower a rope for Carl. When Carl grabs onto the rope the Anaconda will attack. You are using Carl as bait and the anaconda will hiss before the attack. Right before the attack move Carl out of the way – the anaconda should miss Carl and hit an electric eel. Repeat this two more times to finish the level. There are plenty of health pickups, but you may still have to repeat this mission.
A Voice In The Mist20
Find the voice in the mist.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 5. Simply play through Level 5 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. As with the other missions don’t forget to collect any and all bugs you see and break everything you can to raise your merit badge level.
Meet the Pack20
Meet the pack: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.
This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 6. Simply play through Level 6 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. As with the other missions don’t forget to collect any and all bugs you see and break everything you can to raise your merit badge level. Your only real challenges in this level are the dog fights. Choose Carl and press the Button before the dogs attack (they growl first). When you have stunned the dogs (typically after two hits) walk next to them and press the Button when you are prompted to.
Night in the Jungle20
Avoid being captured by Muntz's dogs.
This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 7. Simply play through Level 7 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. As with the other missions don’t forget to collect any and all bugs you see and break everything you can to raise your merit badge level. Your only real challenge in this level is the final dog fight. You may want to use Russell for this fight because of his water bottle special ability. Pressing on the Directional Pad will equip his water bottle (if you have one in your inventory) and refill your health bar. You have to fight several dogs in the final battle and the checkpoint is before the battle. If you die during the battle you will have to start from the beginning of the fight. To defeat the dogs press the Button before the dogs attack (they growl first). When you have stunned the dogs (typically after two hits – the boss dogs take three hits) walk next to them and press the Button when you are prompted to.
Sinkhole Terror30
Defeat the giant Crocodile. (2)
You will face the giant Crocodile at the end of Level 8. This battle takes a little more effort and is a good place to get Teamwork Badge if you have not done so.

The Crocodile is sitting in the middle of a pool of water. There are sharp vines on either side of the pool of water as well as stalactites above the water on each side. At the front of the screen there are four rocks sitting on the edge of the water. Your goal is to lure the Crocodile into the sharp vines on either side. In order to lure the Crocodile to the vines you must swim to them – it is a good idea to use Russell for the swimming part since Carl has to be carried around by Dug. Swim in front of the vines and an animation will take place showing the Crocodile getting ready to attack you. The on screen hint is “Dodge” – not very helpful. As soon as you are able to take control of you character again swim away from the Crocodile – toward and away if necessary. The Crocodile will attack hitting the vines.

When it hits the vines it will stun it causing it to roll over one it’s back. Using the second player hit one of the four rocks at the stalactite causing it to fall on the Crocodile’s belly. It may take several tries since the Crocodile does not line up with the stalactite every time. When you successfully hit the Crocodile the vines on that side will be covered by a rockslide and bats will appear. The bats will fly from rock to rock (the ones you have to hit on the shore) so step back a little so your character is not harmed. Move to the other side of the pool of water and repeat the process again. If you are running low on health use Russell’s water bottle special ability to regain your health (you can find a water bottle located under the waterfall on the back Left side of the screen). You only have to hit the Crocodile two times to defeat it.
Paradise Falls30
Help Carl get his house to the top of Paradise Falls.
This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 9. Simply play through level 9 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. There is very little in this level that will cause you much trouble so as with the other missions don’t forget to collect any and all bugs you see and break everything you can to raise your merit badge level.
Spirit of Adventure30
Free Russell and Kevin, then escape the Dirigible.
This achievement is unlocked after completing Level 10. Simply play through Level 10 following the in game prompts on where to go and what to do. There is very little in this level that will cause you much trouble. There are no bugs to collect in this level, but if you still need the Merit Badges you can get a number of them here by breaking boxes and other objects.
Adventure is Here50
Defeat Muntz's canine squadron in the skies above Paradise Falls. (3)
This is the final Level of the game. Once again you take control of Dug in an airplane. Shoot down all the waves of enemy planes and the blimp to complete this mission. The controls are the same as your first flying mission: Steers, Button Shoots, Button Breaks, Button Boost, Button Special Attack. If you plane is damaged pick up the wrench symbols to repair it. The enemy planes are not hard to kill so your main difficulty will be keeping your plane safe. It is very weak and will be destroyed if you hit another plane, floating mine, blimp, rock formation, the ground, or enemy plane (really anything you hit will probably kill you). You get a checkpoint after each wave of enemies so don’t worry if you die. The final blimp battle it a little more complicated – you need to take out all eight engines (4 on each side of the blimp) and the two rudders (located on the upper and lower tail fin of the blimp). The blimp continues to move during the battle and it drops floating mines. If you run into the side of the blimp you will die. Give yourself a little distance and use the Button to break to slow you down, so you can do more damage to the blimp.

Wave 1 – 3 Enemy Planes
Wave 2 – 4 Enemy Planes
Wave 3 – 6 Enemy Planes

Final Blimp Battle – 8 Engines and 2 Rudders
Teamwork Badge30
Defeat either the giant Anaconda or Crocodile with 2 players.
To unlock this achievement you must be playing with two players – either legit with two people playing or by yourself with a second controller. To add a second player press on the second controller. If you have two people you can defeat the Anaconda (Level 4) with ease – by your self with two controllers is harder. If you are playing by yourself with two controllers go for the Crocodile (Level 8).

For details on how to beat the Anaconda see Slide and Slither
For details on how to beat the Crocodile see Sinkhole Terror
Wings Badge10
Defeat the first plane in the battle over Paradise Falls.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

During the first mission of the game you are required to shoot down four enemy planes in order to continue the game. Pressing the Button shoots your plane’s guns – holding the Button will continually fire the guns at a fast rate. You maneuver your plane by using the . The controls of the plane are inverted and I was unable to find a menu option to change it. Fortunately this mission is very short.

In order to shoot down an enemy plane you must first align your targeting marker (the circle in the center of the screen) with an enemy plane. When you are properly aligned the targeting marker will turn red. Continue shooting the enemy planes until they are destroyed.
Animation Badge20
Unlock the Bonus Art.
The Bonus Art is unlocked by completing the Quest Cards. The Quest Cards are unlocked in order (there are 15 Quest Cards) every time you collect 400 Merit Badges (the small Bronze, Silver, and Gold Coins).

Quest Card 1: Heavy Iron Concept Art – Enemies
Quest Card 2: Heavy Iron Concept Art – Environments
Quest Card 5: Heavy Iron Concept Art – Gameplay
Quest Card 6: Pixar Concept Art – Dirigible Biplane
Quest Card 9: Pixar Concept Art – Environments
Quest Card 10: Pixar Concept Art – Characters
Quest Card 13: Pixar Test Animations
First Aid Badge10
Use Russell's Canteen three times.
You can use Russell’s Canteen during the game after you have collected the gold icons that have the canteen symbol on them. The canteen is a special ability that allows you to heal yourself. Press on the Directional Pad to use the canteen special ability. You must first collect the canteen icon in order to use it.
Bug Hunting Badge50
Catch or squash 100 Dio Bugs or Butterflies.
During the course of the game you will come across a number of different bugs (by destroying logs, mushrooms, etc.) and butterflies (randomly flying around the screen). The achievement unlocks after you have caught or squashed 100 bugs. Using Russell you can capture the bugs by pressing the Button when you are close to them. Using Carl you can squash the bugs by pressing the Button when you are close to them.

Because you are required to collect a number of different bugs for quite a few of the other achievements I would recommend using Russell to capture the bugs. Pressing the will toggle between your two characters. You should have no trouble collecting 100 bugs (I was able to collect 100 by the middle of mission three) through the course of the game.
Bird Watching Badge10
Locate Kevin for the first time.
This is Story Related and CAN NOT be missed.

You locate Kevin (the bird) for the first time in level three. He is surrounded by three dogs. As soon as you get close enough to him Carl will use his hearing aid to scare off the dogs.
Defense Badge15
Successfully defend against 10 dog ambushes.
To defend against dog ambushes you need to play as Carl (some people have said they could not unlock this achievement with Russell – I played as Carl to be safe). The dogs will growl before they attack. As they attack press the Button to knock them back. Do this twice to each dog and you will stun it (the dog should have a circular white icon above it’s head) giving you the opportunity to get rid of the dog. Walk close to the stunned dog and when the Button symbol appears above your head press the button. Carl will tie a balloon around the dog causing it to float away and Russell will throw a squeaky toy. If you press the Button before the symbol shows up above your head you will hit the dog and you will have to stun it again. There are more than enough dog ambushes spread throughout the game and you should unlock this by Level 7.
Fishing Badge20
Survive against the hungry Piranhas.
In Level 6 you will be required to use Dug to pull Carl across the water. Switch to Dug by pressing the get in the water near Carl and press the Button to swim to the other side. In the water there are schools of Piranhas. You can see the schools by the bubbles in the water and the piranhas will be jumping out of the water. Simply make it across the water to the other side to unlock this achievement. You can be bitten you just have to make it across.
Global Citizen Badge20
Make sure to put out your campfire.
Immediately upon starting Level 6 you will be standing next to a burnt out fire pit. Press the Button near the fire pit to destroy it thereby unlocking the achievement. You can easily miss this achievement if you are not paying attention.
Hiking Badge10
Find the picture-perfect view of Paradise Falls.
After you exit the bat area of the cave you will be in a large open area. If you are facing the cave you need to go to the Left cliff edge. There is a small rock platform with a kickable boulder on it. When you get near that spot the achievement will unlock and a group of balloons will lower. Use the rock to take out the balloons. This achievement is easy to miss – if you are following the artifact guide it is listed in the order you discover it.
Entomology Badge20
Collect all varieties of each Butterfly and Dio Bug in the game.
Bugs can be collected by using Russell. When near a bug or butterfly press the Button – Russell will use his net to catch the bugs and butterflies. In order to finish the quest cards you must collect a certain number of each bug in the game. Butterflies can be found on various stages flying around. The bugs are typically found by breaking logs, mushrooms, and various objects in the game. Make sure you keep Russell as your playable character (use the to change characters) and try to catch all the bug and butterflies you see. If you have been making an effort to collect the bugs and butterflies you should unlock this achievement by Level 7.
Karate Badge20
Break open 10 watermelons. (1)
You unlock this achievement by destroying the watermelons found in Level 7. There are 10 watermelons in total and the locations can be found in the guide found here: Artifacts/Mementos/Watermelons & Bones Locations. The watermelons are round and green and tend to blend in with the background. Follow the guide and you should have no trouble finding them. To break open the watermelons simply stand next to them and press the Button. The game keeps track of the number you have broken. If you miss any go back into Level 7 from the level select guide and play through Level 7 again.
Kite Badge 20
Use Carl's House to float across all the chasms in the game. (1)
This achievement is kind of misleading. In order to do a chasm float you need to walk next to the cliff (there should be an icon with both characters pictures in the location you need to stand) then the game animation will do the rest. Most all of the opportunities to use the house to float across the chasms are story related and can not be missed. There is one in Level 3 after you have discovered the memento. You should unlock this achievement on Level 7 assuming you did the chasm float in Level 3.
Sharp Tools Badge15
Use Russell's key to cut through three items in the game.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

You will have to use Russell’s Key Cutting ability a number of times (the achievement only requires you to use it three times) throughout the game. This achievement unlocked for me during Mission 3. To use Russell’s Key Cutting ability you must be next to something you can cut. There will be an on screen prompt to press the Button to cut the rope or vine.
Knot Tying Badge10
Tie off the house so it doesn't float away.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

During Level 5 you will have to tie off the house to progress in the level. Walk next to a tree stump and press the Button to tie off the house.
Music Badge10
Use Russell's Bugle three times.
You get the “special ability” to use Russell’s Bugle by picking up the gold colored music note symbols during the game. Press on the Directional Pad to activate Russell’s Bugle. Do this three times to unlock this achievement.
Recycling Badge15
Play through any previously completed level in Story Mode.
After you have completed the game go into the Level Select Menu and replay any of the Levels in the game. This is a great time to collect any bugs, butterflies, artifacts, mementos, or bones you may have missed. You will also be able to pick up a lot of Merit Badges, so if you still have not reached 6000, make sure you pick them up during your level replay.
Shoveling Badge25
Dig up all of the hidden bones using Dug.
You get the opportunity to play as the dog Dug at specific points during the game. Scattered throughout the levels where Dug is playable there are dig spots. Dig spots are represented by small circles on the ground typically brown or gray depending on the ground color. To switch characters press the . While playing as Dug when you walk over a dig spot the Button symbol will appear above his head. Press the Button to dig in the dig spot. The bones are located in the following Levels:

Level 6 – 2 Bones
Level 7 – 3 Bones
Level 9 – 3 Bones
Swimming Badge10
Swim through all of the areas that have water.
This is Story Related and CANNOT be missed.

This achievement is very easy and cannot be missed. During the game you will have a number of spots that require you to “swim”. This achievement should unlock during the final Crocodile battle on Level 8.
Survivor Badge50
Complete any Story Mode level without failing or quitting.
This achievement is very easy to obtain on the first level because it is very short and very easy. This game is not hard (it is a Disney kids game after all) so you really should not have much trouble on any of the levels. Simple complete any of the levels without failing or quitting.
Artifact Curator35
Find and collect all of the Artifacts.
Artifacts are scattered throughout each level (Except Levels 1 – Flying Sequence, 4 – Boss Fight / Anaconda, 8 – Boss Fight / Crocodile, and 11 – Final Boss Fight / Blimp). There are three artifacts for each of the levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold. Follow the guide Artifacts/Mementos/Watermelons & Bones Locations for a complete list on where to find them and when they appear in the game. If you miss any of the Artifacts, go into the Level Select Menu after you have completed the game and you will be able to see which ones you are missing.
Memorabilia Specialist30
Collect all of Carl's Mementos.
Carl’s Mementos are scattered throughout each level (Except Levels 1 – Flying Sequence, 4 – Boss Fight / Anaconda, 8 – Boss Fight / Crocodile, and 11 – Final Boss Fight / Blimp). There is one Memento for each of the levels. Again follow the guide for a complete list on where to find them and when they appear in the game. If you miss any of the Mementos go into the Level Select Menu after you have completed the game and you will be able to see which ones you are missing.
Merit Badge Champion50
Collect 6000 Merit Badges in the game to become the Merit Badge Champion.
Merit Badges are the coins you collect during the game. They can be found attached to balloons, in objects you destroy and laying on the ground. You need to collect 6000 to unlock all the quest cards as well as this achievement. There are more than enough Merit Badges located throughout the game, so if you have been destroying everything you can you should have very little trouble getting this achievement. The game keeps track of your progress, so if you die backtrack a little and collect the easy Merit Badges to help make sure you reach 6000. This achievement unlocked early in Level 10 for me.

Bronze Merit Badge – 1 Point
Silver Merit Badge – 5 Points

Gold Merit Badge – 10 Points
Buddy System Badge25
Free your buddy from five Snare Traps.
The Snare Traps are located in Level 3 immediately after the cut scene where Carl’s house gets stuck. The small piles of leaves on the ground hide the trap. Stepping on the pile of leaves will get you caught in the trap. Repeatedly pressing the Button will free you from the trap but it will not unlock the achievement. To get the achievement (if playing on single player) you must change characters (by pressing the ) after you have been caught by the trap. The second character needs to go to the base of the trap (the metal boxes where the rope is attached) and press the Button to destroy them. Destroy five traps and the achievement unlocks. There are more than five traps in this level and you can always replay it if you still have not destroyed five.
Environment Badge20
Break apart 500 objects.
Objects include rock piles, mushrooms, logs, etc. You break object by pressing the Button when you are next to them. Breaking objects typically release merit badges (coins) and on rare occasions bugs. Make sure you are playing as Russell (Press the to change characters) when breaking objects just in case there are bugs inside. There is no reason to rush this achievement since you will easily break more than 500 objects through your first play through of the game.
Pest Control Badge25
Squish 10 Wasps and Spiders.
Wasps and Spiders are harder to kill – you have to stun them before you kill them. Russell’s Bugle works well on the wasps. You can also wait for the wasp or spider to attack then press the Button before you are attacked thereby stunning the wasp / spider. Press the Button near the stunned wasp or spider to kill it. You will have more than enough opportunities to kill wasps and spiders throughout the game.
Multiplayer Extras50
Unlock the extra Multiplayer Combat Maps.
You unlock the Multiplayer Combat Maps by completing the Quest Cards. The Quest Cards are unlocked in order (there are 15 Quest Cards) every time you collect 400 Merit Badges (the small Bronze, Silver, and Gold Coins).

Quest Card 3: Alpha’s Plane – Multiplayer
Quest Card 4: Canyon, Night – Multiplayer
Quest Card 7: Beta’s Plane – Multiplayer
Quest Card 8: Mountain, Stormy – Multiplayer
Quest Card 11: Gamma’s Plane – Multiplayer
Quest Card 12: Pillars, Night – Multiplayer
Quest Card 14: Muntz’s Plane – Multiplayer

Ellie Badge50
Complete all of the Quest Cards for a special badge.
For this achievement you must complete all the Quest Cards. Each card unlock after you have collected 400 Merit Badges (Merit Badges are the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Coins found throughout the game). Each of the Quest Cards has a specific requirement for completion; ie: collect a certain number of specific bugs and artifacts or mementos. To view the Quest Cards choose the Quest Card link from the Start Menu. Scroll Left and Right using the or or on the Directional Pad. For a complete Bug Guide detailing which bugs you need as well as which level they can be found on check the guide found here: Bug guide.

Secret Achievements

Rare Statue Badge25
You've found the Gold Jaguar!
After you have rescued Russell from the cage you enter a room full of artifact displays. On the far left side of the room is a display case you have to move to get to Kevin. The door on the Left leads to Kevin – the door on the Right is blocked by a picture. Smash the picture (this will give you another Kevin collectable) and you will be able to open the door. After you go in the room you will see a short cut scene of the Gold Jaguar. Pick it up and the achievement will unlock.
Excavation Badge25
You've found the hidden cave in "A Voice in the Mist."
If you are following the artifact guide you will find this with no trouble. It is found on Level 5 and you are looking for the Gold Artifact. After collecting the artifact you will have to push a rock over to get out of the cave. As soon as you reach the top of the cave the achievement will unlock.
Beginner's Wings10
