And welcome to Hell!
|Completed all missions on Hell and Hell difficulty|
If you're new to the Devil May Cry games, the first time you hear about Hell and Hell, it sounds impossible as maybe it was in previous games. In this one, it's much easier. What is this mode about? You die in one hit, the enemies have their normal health and the difficulty is set to normal. If you die, you can use up to 3 Golden Orbs to revive yourself as they're free and unlimited. If you loose all your orbs and die, you will restart to the last checkpoint with all your Orbs and items back. Something else that will make your playthrough a cake walk is the Super Dante (infinite Devil Trigger) ability that is unlocked by completing the game on Dante Must Die difficulty. What's the Devil Trigger ability? It levitates the enemies in the air which makes them vulnerable to all your attacks… the best thing is, you can use it as much as you want.

And here it is. One of the achievements that makes it a true DMC game. Some of the achievements in this game are WAY too easy compared to the others.

As long as it doesn't have some luck based thing like that stupid gameboard in DMC4 then I'll be able to do it.

People must be insanely good at this game to get this. I used cheats to unlock everything in DMC3 and never even attempted this mode because I knew I would never be able to pull it off. I doubt I'd even have gotten past the first enemy wave, much less the first boss. Heaven and hell mode is fun though.

Get the game for fun damn people. If you enjoy dmc at least a bit then grab it when it's out for fun. Not for achievements. Not getting a game because of the achievements is so stupid...

I've completed Hell & Hell mode on DMC4. If it's anything like that, this won't be as bad (granted, as long as you're given three golden orbs and have the access to Super Dante if you complete DMD mode).

I could not beat Hell and hell mode in DMC4,i got as far as mission 12 and could not pass it. Then my hard drive went and died on me. so that was 121 hours of DMC4 gameplay gone :( I cant wait to see if i can beat Dante Must die in this game.

if hell or hell is like dmc 4 it is fairly doable. but i bet they will release a dlc where u'll have to complete some sort of bloody palace without useing super mode to get an achievement. that will b the real challenge of the game :D

@9, That is pathetic. Achievements don't make a game you know, people like you is the reason why i wouldn't mind going back to the old days. Achievements are clearly ruining games if this is how people are starting to think. If it's that much of an issue for you then play it on a different account, that way it won't ruin your completion rate on your main account.

People hating at people for basing a purchase on achievements... on an achievement-oriented site? Get of your high horses people, you have no right to judge. I didn't buy Max Payne 3 because of the achievements, and I might not buy this either. Gonna wait and see what the guide says after release. I still feel anxiety for DMC4, which I bought in 2008 and only have 150 Gs in. I'll buy MP3 for the PS3 when it's cheap, but this I can do without if it's too hard.

What is going on, why do people think that this is the hardest difficulty? Ever played a DMC game before? Heaven Or Hell/Hell And Hell are bonus difficulties. Normally, Dante Must Die is the hardest.

#18 Because Hell and Hell hits are one hit KOs... for you. You know that. That's what makes it annoying, especially if there are attacks you can't really evade.
But I doubt that it will be this hard, I imagined DMC4's HAH mode to be harder too.

@#19 for YOU know: one hit KOs doesn't mean it's automatically hard. The enemies might kill you with one hit, yeah, but their health was only like in Devil Hunter. Don't tell me about DMC games man.

The fight with Vergil is easily the most difficult part of this mode, but as long as you're patient and wait for the right times to attack, it is definitely doable.

Haha, not sure what wuold be more annoying - 900/1000 like DmC, or 990/1000 like DMC4.
I'll attempt it for sure, but DMC4 Hell and Hell hurt me (and my controller) a lot.
At least there's a relaxing Heaven and Hell mode before it - a bit of fun before the battle!

This was surprisingly easy. All you have to do is beat the game on Dante must die and get the super dante form. If you already beat the game this many times you should know when the next set of enemies are coming up, so use devil trigger and they all fly into the air. Focus one enemy at a time cause if you hit one and stop hit it, it will fall to the ground and will be able to move. If that does happen just real quickly turn devil trigger off and on. The main combo that I used was the regular Y button and once they flew away just LT, X towards them. This also works for the elemental enemies too. Do this through the entire game like this and you'll just breeze right through it. Once you get to a boss try to RT dodge an attack so you can get the extra damage, and you will hit bosses so

hard with the three combo Arbiter attack you can almost kill them with just that.
Once you get to the final boss quickly turn on devil trigger and attack him with the three combo Arbiter attack and once he parry's it, dodge his attack and use stinger on him. And if he summons those blades that hover above him just attack him with Osiris and they will be destroyed. After every little cutscene devil trigger will get turned off, don't forget to turn it back on. If hes standing there and you don't know what attack hes doing next just jump and try to stay in the air till he does an attack. If he does the one where he just shoots air blasts at you jump in the air and use Arbiter Y attack where you throw it at him, this should stagger him and you can either use stinger attack again or the t

three hit Arbiter combo. For the other attacks where hes standing there charging, just keep jumping in the air and dashing away from his wall blade attacks. And if he does do a wall blade attack, he will probably dash towards you and start charging again, quickly jump and air dodge the second wall blade attack and use stinger. If you ever use an attack and hes still charging just cancel the attack and jump dash away. Now when he jumps in the air he will either throw a air attack at you or just slam onto the ground. If he uses the air attack just quickly dodge it and pull him to you, then use the three hit Arbiter combo. If he slams onto the ground just dodge it and use stinger. And if it isn't showing him getting hurt just jump dash away. For the whole fight just play real defensive an

and counter all of his attacks. Once you get him down low enough and he summons his clone thing just turn devil trigger off and on and it will stay in the air. Just continue fighting him while dodging everything and this should be the end on him.
You're probably not going to kill him first try on this difficulty, so fighting him enough times you're going to learn his moves and what each one looks like. Just keep retrying and the final boss will become your little bitch.

Okay I went as far as mission 12 on HAH mode today. For those wondering even though its a one hit kill and enemies have normal health this mode gives you 3 free gold orbs each mission. So just like HoH mode if/ when you get knocked out it will use the gold orb to bring you back. You get a new lot of gold orbs each mission so you don't have to buy them.
Also if you get knocked out and used all of your gold orbs up it will be game over. But you can continue and it will continue from your last checkpoint and give you a new set of 3 gold orbs from that checkpoint.
I'm using super Dante atm through this mode and its obviously very easy just got to be quick to react and dodge at the right time. I'm just worried about Lilith and her baby battle as well as mission 20 T-T

Hahaha I laugh at everyone who gave up on this achievement.
Its mega piss easy compared to DMC4.
You have Super Dante at your finger tips here guys and every time you use Devil Trigger it launches all enemies up into the air except bosses.
The only kind of skill you need is platforming and boss asskickings.
So shine those boots and get ready to kick some ass.
