DmC: Devil May Cry

DmC: Devil May Cry Achievements

Completed all missions on the Nephilim difficultly with a SSS rank

There are three factors that will decide of your overall rank at the end of a mission. Your Style Points, the time it took to complete the mission and the percentage of collectibles found. Obviously, the level has to be completed in the shortest amount of time. Finding all the collectibles is also highly suggested. The hardest part though, is to earn a big amount of Style Points. It's also what will most likely decide of your overall rank at the end of a mission. The best way to rack up points is to use as many different combos as possible. The Trinity Smash is an extremely powerful combo that gives a lot of style points (Rebellion  +  Pause Arbiter + ). I'd suggest using this ability when only a few enemies are remaining. It's a very slow attack, you don't want other enemies to hit you while you perform it. The Tremor attack (Arbiter + ) is also very good to hit many lined up enemies at the same time. Another combo that greatly helps me to rack up a lot of points is the combination of the Buy In and the Eryx Stomp (Aquila  +  pause + ) + (Double Jump + Eryx ). Other great combo -> Buy In, Killer and Cleaver (Aquila  +  Pause + ) + (Aquila  +  + ) + (Osiris +  +  Pause  +  + ).
If you go in Select Missions, you can see the rank you already achieved on every mission.

I completed dmc 4 and dmc hd collection, now I am ready to complete this.......I always thought there was this achievement or something similar in this game, such as dmc 4, but I don't find anything about a bloodypalace...... and this makes me sad.... I love that game mode.....

As long as you're not forced to do perfect runs (no damage, all orbs...) this won't be too hard, except the point-requirements are insane.

Seems all you need to do is get all the collectibles to get SSS-rank on a level, at least it said so during a loading screen in the demo after I beat the minigame behind the copper door.

Scratch that, that will only give you an SSS rank in completion, you still need to SSS-rank time and style points to get SSS rank on the mission I guess.

This doesn't sound bad at all consider the demo's Hard mode was pretty easy.

Yeah, I'm just glad I don't have to collect orbs for S-ranks like in DMC4. That part just made me give up on that game before I even tried to 100% it.

damn i was wondering if they'd switch it to DMD with all SSS rankings. seems it's much more easier to get 1000/1000. lame... for a real 'demon killer' it is a shame that this achievement won't prove ranking all DMD missions to SSS.

@15 superink your an idiot. No body wants to SSS rank on DMD, ive been playing DMC since you were prolly a child. Ive seen you comment on a few talking about REAL DEMON KILLER, acting like your better then everyone else. Your just a loser, just because everyone else has job, a woman, and a life doesnt mean we are not as big of fans as you. We dont care about achievements that prove we are better then everyone else. We play for fun and enjoy the story and gameplay. If the achievements are alot less stressful then Im all for it. And for the people that like the challenge. They can still do it, just wont be an achievement involved.

Those that are worried about this achievement; don't be.

I'm far from the best & even I just sat down and ran through the first 7 missions getting SSS on my first tries without any worry. I had already played through once on Devil Hunter, then a second time on Human; to get 100% keys, souls, doors and earn my permanent SSS rank for Completion. Cracked on with the first 7 missions and it's been no challenge. Provided you SSS Time you can drop to an SS for Style and still get SSS overall.

^Yeah, I just tried the 1st mission and got an S on style points because I got hit a couple of times by the Hunter - need to learn his moves. It only grabbed me a SS overall (I SSS'd the time and collections). Just need to learn the levels more, all there is to it people!

Not that hard, just avoid being hit, do NOT use Super Dante perk, and at least once in every Mission try and use your devil trigger, and just be quick running the level through

On the first mission I keep getting SS rank. Time and style points are both SS, completion is SSS. What time do I need to get SSS? At the moment it takes 9minutes to complete the first mission.

This will be fun, just gotta learn the levels and mix up the weapons.
#23 try and do it in around 7mins. I used devil trigger on the hunter which kicked his a**

@28 Hopefully you haven't given up hope or hopefully you already have the achievement.
I've been having trouble too. It was those damn Dreamrunners that were giving me the most trouble. The ways to deal with Dreamrunners are with Overdrive with Rebellion and Eryx Charged attacks.
Enemies in Mission 17: Hell Knight (Just use Demonic Weapons)
Frost Knight (Just use Angelic Weapons, it has no shield)
Elite Stygians (Use whatever means necessary to reach SSS with these guys. I like Aquila a lot. I suggest taking them out first before attacking the Butcher.)
Butcher (Demonic Weapons, I found that Eryx Fully Charged Uppercuts can launch him in the air. Follow up with Rebellion Aerial Rave and Roulette Spin then Eryx Showdown. You can charge it up if you want. You may miss if you hold it

for too long.)
Witch (Aquila Round Trip. When the shield is down, throw another Round Trip then follow up with Eryx Brawler punches. Pause after the second hit and quickly switch to Arbiter Trinity Smash. As long as the shield is down, I suggest just using Demonic Weapons to deal with a Witch. Always. ALWAYS deal with a Witch first before anything else.)
Ravager (Chainsaw Stygian in other words, just time your dodges with RT held down to get that damage buff.)
Stygians (Go ahead and use Rebellion Drive/Overdrive and Arbiter Flush on the two Stygians here.)
Tyrant (Just like the Butcher, you can Eryx Fully Charged Uppercut to launch them in the air. The first one you see is paired with a Witch, take out the Witch first then you can dispatch this brute. I suggest just using Demonic

Weapons and Demon Evade in order to beat this guy.)
Dreamrunner (Already stated, but use Eryx Charged attacks and Rebellion Overdrive on this guy AFTER he attacks. I suggest getting a good distance away from him so he'll teleport to get closer to you. When he exits his portal let your swing go. You may be able to parry him for extra points. When you hit him out of his portal, follow up with a combo. Remember, he can stop and counter your combo at any moment, so try to keep it short and varied too. There are only two in this mission. One appears with a Tyrant, the other with a Witch. Take out the first one before dealing with the Tyrant. The second one, I would suggest to pop Devil Trigger and deal with the Witch. Once the Witch is dead, dispatch the Dreamrunner with Overdrive and

Charged attacks.)
Another note: don't be hit by the Furnace, especially if you have a high grade combo going. Taking damage lowers the rank. If you don't already have it, if you avoid damage from the fire, you will receive "Every hero has a weakness" achievement at the end of the mission.

You're aiming for at least 250,000 Style Points and around 10 minutes. I ended with 260,000 and 8:04. I have my SSS rank now and I hope for the best for anyone else having problems with this mission.

Also, the forums are wonderful, but I don't like sifting through topics to find something. So here's a lot of information.

To those talking about the Furnace, I'd agree with that being the hardest. For some reason, I kept screwing up and getting hit. Eventually I watched a video of someone else doing it, and got it on the next try I think. Something useful- if you move quickly after the fight with the red & blue knights you can keep your rank starting the fight with the butcher & stygians.

In general:
-use devil trigger on dreamrunners, unless you're awesome at dealing with them. Even it you have to use a star, it'll probably be worth it.
-Use an item if you want. If you get SSS time & comp. you only have to get like 160 more style points to make up for one item

Also in general:
-it seems using attacks that damage multiple enemies at once end up with lower points, at least in my experience. I generally stay away from Aquila unless I'm atracking a blue enemy.
-If you're going to do Dante Must Die, do this achievement afterwards. You'll have more experience and enemies will seem easier.
-Don't perform too many environmental kills.
-Consider focusing on flying enemies first. I usually lose track of the Harpies and (B/P)athos, so I go for them first. I like to pull the _athos then use Eryx RT+tri. Harpies I usually lift up to then slice away.

This is gonna be a hard one to get, I usually get a SSS Rank on a few bosses but two bosses which will be hard to get a SSS completion rank is Mundus and Vergil especially Mundus because he fires the fire balls at you which I find difficult, anyone know how to deal with the two last bosses because I could do with advice on how to get SSS Ranks on them
