Complete all levels on UltraViolent mode
Here’s a better way of getting 5 achievements while running through this game from beginning to end. Instead of starting a game and trying to get the EPISODE achievements on Hurt Me Plenty, start a game in Ultraviolent mode instead. The only difference between the 2 difficulties is that there are more enemies in Ultraviolent, but its not that much harder. Just go from beginning to end. You’ll pick up the episode achievements along the way, and upon completion of Episode 4 you’ll receive the RAMPAGE and EPISODE 4 achievement.

do the "remove all enemies" glitch to do this. It's super easy

^^^ UV isn't hard. If you can't complete it on UV then you don't deserve the
achievement. It's super easy to do anyway. fuck glitching.
And if you complete it, actually playing the game normally.. Just like god
intended you to. you will feel super good.
And you will have a good time. :D

literally impossible. i can do the first two or three episodes on ultra violence but after that, epic fail. i can't even complete episode four (on bring it on). this is coming from someone who has been playing doom for 16 years. i honestly think episode four is severe overkill.

if you feel this is impossible than you need to try it a different way, save and then rethink your strategy, if heaps of people can do this then its not impossible and its not luck

Guys, This achievement is super easy. The only level that might give you trouble is Against thee wickedly. Save every chance you get, and the achievement is yours!

Ok this achievement isn't 'super easy' but it is deffinatly not impossible as I just got it last night (Woohoo!). The top tips I can give are conserve your ammo, use the chain saw on the pink/invisible demons, strafe (sidestep) round enemies in circles whilst blasting them especially groups as this will cause them to shoot each other. Use doorways to control the amount of enemies coming at you at once and finally save often.

Saving/Loading isn't a tatic I like using as it does feel a little cheap but I found for this game it was near maditory. Save at the start of each level so if you die you can load it in again and don't lose all your weapons and also save several times throughout a level so that if you have a good run on a section you can start from there again without having to rest

And yea, Against Thee Wickedly was a bitch but I found E4M1: Hell Beneath was horriblly hard for the first level in the episode! And there is another that is almost covered in lava that you need to cross to get to teleports where I almost died cause there were no more health packs and I couldn't remember which teleporter I had to go to!

Anyway deffinatly a fun game and a great achievement to get. Off to buy Doom 2 now :D

Does this require the secret levels to?

I have probably beat this game a thousand times on ultra-violent. If you think it's still to easy try using nothing but the pistol.

I cant even beat episode 4.. I beat the mech-spider thing, but when I fall through the hole in the middle of the room and the white screen comes up with the story, my whole game freezes if I press A... Is that a glitch or am i doing something wrong??

Hell no. You can do co-op on Marathon: Durandal though, because it's a better game.

It's easy till you get to episode 4. Just remember one thing, don't rely on just sight. If you have headphones those will help. The enemy projectiles are easy to dodge, and the only hard part is when you have to go against the cyberdemon in a crowded area.

This was a pretty easy achievement, got through every level, except the secret ones. Beat the cyberdemon, and final boss, (and for anyone whos beaten the game and gets this) avenged my dead bunny daisy. But, by far the first 2 levels in e4 were brutal! Barely any armor, or Hp, plus scarce ammo.

I've done this twice now, with all four secret levels, and still no achievement. Am I missing something? Is there a known glitch about this one?

I just finished completing all levels, with the exception of the secret ones, on Ultra Violent mode... no achievement for me! I think it might be a glitch. It was a good nostalgia trip, but I don't fancy going through it again to see if it'll unlock this time. Apparently the secret levels are not necessary for the achievement, if anyone knows otherwise please message me :-)

I know I'm replying to myself here, but I figured out the problem...

I checked the online leaderboards, and for some reason the last two levels of episode 1 had not registered that I completed them on UV mode. I made sure I was connected to LIVE and completed the entire first episode on UV, and lo and behold, the achievement popped. Strangely enough, the 6th level of the third chapter was completely absent from the leaderboard, despite the levels after it having registered, but the achievement popped regardless.

Hope this helps those that are struggling - connect to LIVE and make sure your times etc are being added to the leaderboards!!

This one wasn't too bad. At least we didn't have to complete them all on Nightmare difficulty

tl;dr
Managed to do it, Episode 3&4 is pretty hard especially considering you start the episodes without the weapons you finished the previous episode with (Playing the original Doom where they didnt have episodes, I assumed that would happen). Just save alot throughout turning points in the level, Its what I did :). Conserve ammo too if you can, especially if you've picked up a berserk pack, not many people realise when you pick a berserk pack up it lasts until the end of the level, not just until the red screen goes off (Only found that out myself last week and have played Doom for years).
Good luck :).

23: No kidding

25: Oh, I didn't know Berserk lasted like that, thanks.

I've done ep. 2 & 3 so far, and I'm working on 4. I've passed the first 2 maps, so I'm breathing easier- Hell Beneath was brutal.

As for advice, I'd say if you're having trouble with a episode, playthrough on Hurt Me Plenty first. I attempted ep. 3 on U.V. first and it sucked (got to the third map and was constantly scratching by on ammo). After playing through on H.M.P., U.V. was much easier. And, of course, saving frequently (I use multiple saves sometimes) and conserving ammo helps alot.

This guy plays all the levels on nightmare and completes mostly all the levels in around 2 mins, he does all of doom 2 as well. This will save you so much time and you achievement seekers will love this!!!

#25 and #26 are right save often, and conserve your ammo. You don't need to do anything more than it takes to make it to the switch at the end of the level, but sometimes it helps to open a few secret doors here or there to gain a weapon a few levels sooner than you would if you didn't open the secret doors.

totally agree with #23, it could always have been far worse, imagine having to beat every level on Ultra violence mode and not die even once, or have to do it using just your fists.

I played the Episode 1 and 2 on normal then saw the achievement and play Episode 3 and 4 on Ultra Violent. I found it super hard. I tried walkthroughs but they were hard to follow because people didnt explain what they were doing.

Look up BigMac or something who plays Doom. Its super helpful.
