Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins Achievements

Set foot in every area in the game

This has to be done in one playthrough. You'll need to hit every location on the main map, and the sub maps for the Deep Roads and Denerim. You'll need to do every main quest and quite a few side quests to visit all of them. Make sure you go into every door, every shop, every section every town, every Chantry...everywhere. These are the locations you'll need in your Codex.

See this thread for a list of the locations you'll need for this achievement.

This achievement is a lot less forgiving than you'd think. I made like one mistake in my most recent playthrough and I didn't get the achievement. Someone made an in-depth percent-by-percent walkthrough that really helps. Now I have to make a new playthrough solely for this one. Grr.

Make sure you don't screw this up in the fade. Go through every mouse hole, massive door and especially Spirit Door cause I'm pretty sure this is where I messed up. You can;t go back to this area.

Go to that website, very accurate followed on my first playthrough and I unlocked it as soon as i hit the rooftop

I was at 96% world explored before going to the rooftop when I unlocked it. Anything less and you won't get the achievement.

I also got it somewhere around 89% unless the rooftop is worth 7%?

I entered the rooftop at 76% in one of my playthroughs, and that's when this achievement popped.
Upon entering some areas it will say: 'Area Unlocked' followed by the name of that area. I think that's the only thing you need. So exploring areas to the max isn't necessary at all. Just pop in and out of every area and it should pop.
At least, that's my theory. I think it makes sense.

I happened to get this by dumb luck. I was at 94% when I entered the Rooftop so I wasn't sure if I had found everywhere or not, but apparently so :)

Quick question: can I complete the Origin stories and not have to worry about this until after I do all of them? After I choose my permanent character then can I start marking places off? Thanks

Pretty tough achievement as there are a few shops that only become available at certain points in the game, meaning even if you go out of your way to go everywhere (like me) you may miss them as they weren’t available when you previously checked. it took me three play troughs’ to find the Shop in the dwarf city that only opens after you have done the main quest there.

Hard one to get, but defiantly not bugged as I have seen others claim.

I did not even pay attention to this achievement and got it the first time. The second time though, when I played on my own platform and knew about how easily it can be missed, I was pretty freaked out, because I knew at least one quest that unlocks an additional building I had missed. But it popped nevertheless :D

Where can I tell the percent that I have traveled? It will come up once in a while during an auto save but besides that I can't locate it.

@Ancient Warri0r:

It's under 'Heroic Accomplishments' (same screen as Quests and Codex).

Just scroll down, it'll be on the right-hand side.

alright first off the description for this achievement is not very accurate considering i unlocked it at 94% and others unlocked it at various percentages; however i do have some info to help those in the future to learn from past mistakes. as soon as i entered the royal palace to begin the lands meet the female officer addresses you before the confrontation begins with logain, the point of no return is entering the court to begin the landmeet. anyway at that point i had 79% of the world explored, and finished the game with 94% as i mentioned above. by that math 15% of the map can be unlocked after lands meet. so if you do not have at least 79% so not begin the lands meet until you have obtained that percentage. also the rooftop did not increase the percent unlocked as i had 94% before an

*** and after i reached the rooftop. also the achievement unlocked at the begining of the cutscene after opening the doorway to the rooftop. so remember at least 79% before the lands meet and 15% percent after. also this is not fail safe as there is 6% of the map floating in neverland so i cannot guarantee this will work, necause you might have explored an area better than i did and could still have missed a spot or two and have more than 79% at the lands meet, however the 15% after is as good as gold. good luck everybody.

The tricky one is 'Figor's Imports' in Orzammar because it isn't there until after you pick a new King. At that point you're ready to get the hell out of there and get to the landsmeet (assuming you do Orzammar last). After the landsmeet, you can no longer return to Orzammar, so make sure you stop in to Figor's Imports before blowing town.

Hey, I got a question (it might be a noob question) but if I am a Rogue/Warrior can I still get the Traveler achievement if I am not able to go in the basement of the Mage Tower because you only can go there if your a mage. Please let me know as soon as possible thank you for your time!

Places from Origin stories, like the Circle Tower's basement or Castle Cousland, are not required.

@32, yeah Max, I found out the hard way. Hit all locations except Figors, and started a DLC before going back. New game wiped out all saves, so I need to redo everything plus side quests if I want to try again. Ugh! Might pass on 100% on this one.

Easy but Long. You dont ened to explore 100% of the world. I got this achievement on the loading screen as i enter for battle with the archdemon. I checked my world explored at that time, it was 93%.

In this play through i did all the sides quest (chantry board and blackstone) which does reveal maps in ferelden. I also did crime wave which reveal map in Denerim.

I followed this guide...

I figured I would never get it, but I followed this walkthrough to the letter and it unlocked during the cut scene to fight the Archdemon.
You also got to think that some places you simply will never visit because of the Origins.
Dwarf Commoner - Rica's House
Dwarf Noble - The parts of the Deep Roads you visit
City Elf - The PC's parents house
Dalish Elf - All places you visit during
Magi - The circle basement
Human Noble - Castle Cousland

Figor's imports opens up way before you choose the new king in Orzimmar. You just have to go inside while he is dealing with the thugs who are trying to rip him off and help him get rid of them. The place you dont want to miss in Orzimmar is the chantry that gets started with your help. It ends up being near where you meet the Dwarf who wants to stat one.
