Step 1: Choosing your hero
Putting your points into his tower life/damage I found were the most important things to do first, also occasionally putting points into his tower range and attack rate.
I suggest maxing out the Tower Life, Damage, and Attack Rate. Range can do without putting 70 points into it. I stopped at around 25.
You can skip playing on easy and jump right into medium, you will get better XP & Gear and the difficulty increase is not that large. Also be aware that having more players in your game increases the amount of monsters per wave.
You will want to spend some time leveling up your Hero and grinding for some decent gear before bothering with the Hard & Insane difficulties.
You can switch between characters at the Tavern or even during a level. Simply activate the Defenders forge and select change hero. You can only do this during a level during the build phase.
Step 2: Level up the Huntress!
She of course can level up much faster if you build towers with your high level Squire, switching to the Huntress and any kills your tower gets will gain XP for her.
Step 3: Challenges/Survival modes
Pure strategy mode is exactly like survival but has a bit less enemies per wave, and you can not use your hero to attack/repair or build during the combat phase.

|Store 15,000,000 Mana in your Mana Bank||(10)|
1. A way to do it (near constantly for upgrades) is beat Summit on Insane difficulty to acquire your Animus pet. If it has roughly 26+ upgrade levels, upgrade it's projectile speed and ONLY its projectile speed. PS levels faster than any other stat, and will reach the hundreds of thousands...and after you upgrade the pet, will be worth more than 15mil. Then simply sell it.
2. A Good way to earn mana fast is Mageus Quarters on hard or insane survival. Squire is better for this. Place 1 bowling ball tower on the left and center stairwells up to the crystal, and a bouncer on the right. This should take care of wave one.
Next, set up all stairs up to the crystal to have a bouncer in front of 2 bowling towers, you should be able to do this by now, but it may take another round if you are a lower level.
Now place 2 harpoon towers between the left and center stairs on the edge to cover the birds.
Place 2 more harpoons on the edge between the center and right stairs. I also like putting a slicer right in front of the crystal to be safe. Upgrade whatever you want, and let it go.
|Catch 'em All||10|
|Store all Pet types in your Item Box or on your Heroes||(6)|
The Giraffe and Chicken are not needed for the achievement
|Defender of Etheria||20|
|Reach Hero Level 70||(1)|
XP increases quickly on the higher difficulties, bonuses for completing a wave without taking damage or the crystal taking damage offer large XP bonuses on Insane difficulty. Also you can build your defenses on a stronger character and switch to a lower level one during the game to get XP faster.

|Complete all levels on Insane||(15)|
Complete all levels on Insane. Including Glitterhelm bonus level.
The easiest way to do this would be in a party of 4 with characters over level 50. Try to upgrade your weapons to the best possible stat. A good weapon tends to be one with a elemental attribute attached to it so make the best of weapons with elemental attributes. Your main character should also have their "health","strength" & overall "tower defenses" at a fairly decent levels. I would suggest using a character that is a pure
Also note that with more players the overall enemy count increases drastically, you may want to take the insane attempt alone depending on your play style as it is possible. Suggested level before attempting solo "70".
See Clips of Levels on Insane for assistance.
|A Challenger Approaches||20|
|Complete All Challenges on INSANE Difficulty|
Use the same process as "Dungeon Defender." Only difference is this time challenges have different requirements than just doing the stages. Use the level range on each challenge as a guide as to what lv you should attempt them at.
