Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Achievements

Arrive on Solstheim

Story related, cannot be missed.

This achievement is obtained after you first arrive in the new island of Solstheim, during the very first quest to start the DLC. To start the DLC, you must be inside one of the major cities, where you will be attacked by cultists. You will recognize them as they will be wearing robes which are only just introduced in this DLC. After dispatching your attackers, search both of their bodies to find a note and read it. This will then activate a quest for you to go and speak with a ships captain, who can be found on his ship just outside Windhelm. After a small conversation, he will eventually, albeit, reluctantly agree to take you to Solstheim, thus starting the DLC.

Also, it seems you have to have completed the mission, 'The Way of the Voice' in the main Skyrim game and received the quest 'The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller' for the attack to trigger.

Ok, well, it's Tuesday, December 4th @7:43 am CMT and I'm eagerly awaiting my trip to Solstheim, but so far just keep seeing the Dragonborn promo on my dashboard, which I've probably watched a hundred times already. Does anyone know what time the dlc will be active?

It has released in the EU - go to marketplace and search for skyrim dragonborn and it will show as there for 1600 points and downloads pretty quickly.

CoolhandCapers is correct! its not in with all the other skyrim dlc yet so what you do is go onto the Bing search and search for "Skyrim Dragonborn" if you do that like i said, then it will be the first highlighted entry

Loading it now. Whoo-Hoo!! It just came open after 8am. One more wish I would have of Bethesda is to release Morrowind with the original Solstheim with the Bloodmoon dlc.

careful, if you go to solsteim before you get ambushed in skyrim and find a letter on a cultist, chances are some quest will be glitch.

also, at least one quest in skyrim, the one where you get thrown in jail in Markath is bugged if you come to solsteim before doing it. my game freeze everytime when they try to throw me in jail in markath.

It doesn't have to be in a major city; I just fast traveled to Ivarstead from High Hrothgar to trigger the initial cultist encounter. It could be possible to head for Solstheim prior to starting "Way of the Voice" or "Dragonborn". Either way, it's most likely recommended for Adril Arano to scriptedly approach you on the Northern Maiden to be sure.
