Fable 2

Fable 2 Achievements

The Ruler of Albion

100
Amass a 2.5 million gold real estate empire, or be there when another Hero does.

Simply mass a "real estate empire". Easier than it sounds and the best way to get gold fast in Fable 2. Basically, what you need to do is buy and rent out every piece of architecture you can get your hands on; whether you up or lower the rent is up to you. Obviously if you up it, you'll get rich quicker and be able to expand quicker, BUT you'll be a evil, corrupt character.

Buying and renting is a great way to get a regular income of money and simply going to bed at night while your Xbox rests earns rent as well. So simply, buy, rent out and expand. It should not take you ALL the property in Albion for this achievement, but chances are, you'll need the castle because it's worth a million.

To check your current real estate value, go to Start > Logbook > Stats and scroll down some.

Significant Places to Buy:

  • Fairfax Castle - After the game is complete.
  • Cemetery Mansion - After the "Love Hurts" mission.
  • Father Gile's Farm (Brightwood) - After the "Blind Date" mission.
  • Garth's Tower - Sometime later on in the game.
  • Reaver's House - After the game is complete.

This is a little hard. I'v brought almost all houses, almost all businesses (including stalls) and even the mansion at the end and still haven't unlocked it. :(

Choosing the needs of 1 at the end gives you 1 million gold.

I'm running out of things to buy. I've got 2.7 million gold and I pretty much own Bowstone. What should I do?

Don't forget to upgrade all the furniture and put in trophies to up the retail prices of the homes. Just buying the house and walking away won't get you there.

You don't have to upgrade anything to get this achievement. It was really
simple for me. As I progressed through the game I bought a house every time I
could afford it, then jacked up the rates to +100%. This will bring you more
and more money. At the end of the game, buy the cemetery mansion, fairfax
castle, and Reaver's house plus every other regular building. This will unlock
the achievement.

Good thinking #6, this also affects your good/evil rating depending on how you have set the rent prices. Should be an easy achievement now. :)

@6 this only increases your money
not your real estate wealth.

Would it be possible to get this achievement without the Knothole Island DLC?

It's the money you earn from your properties, not the amount you spend on them

To get this you have to own most all of the properties and the world economy has to be well off. I'll help you get this.

This is not about how much money u make from the real estate but how much ur real estate is worth. u basically have to spend 2.5 million on buildings all together to get this achievement, upgrading furniture also adds to it. If u dont know how much real estate money u have jus go to logbook in the pause menu, personality, stats, and scroll down till u see real estate wealth.

Okay guys, this is freaking nuts. I've been trying to get the money glitch to work, and everywhere I've read says that it has been patched. Well, I just did it and earned 325,000 bucks. So yeah, it fuckin works, go do it!!!

Yes, the money glitch still works, but simply buying a ton of homes and doing the exploit doesn't seem to work. Like many others have stated, this has nothing to do with simply having 2.5 mil on your character. If you press start, go down to the Logbook, go to Personality, go down to Stats and scroll down (using right stick) to Money. The first entry in the list, Real Estate Wealth, is what you're looking at from what I gather. Get that number at or above 2.5 mil.

My real estate wealth is over 4 million and I don't have the achievement. I buy every building I come across but leave the prices of rent etc at 0%. Should I hike the prices up 100% ? any ideas/advice would be appreciated.

Not sure if anyone stills plays but does anyone have any tips for getting gold in this game? it's so easy in fable 3 I have about 5 mil by doing nothing, but in this game holy cow I had to pinch pennies to get reaver's mansion, the graveyard mansion, and the tower. I only have about 320k to put towards fairfax gardens and I have a few pieces of real estate. I can't unplug my cable because My internet is wifi. I was thinking about being proactive and just blowing my 320k on shops and etc and not playing for a few and hopefully I come back to a pleasant surprise....

I got this after buying just about every property on offer no new furniture either I just increased rent to 100%. My last property bought that unlocked the achievement was Brightwood Tower. Time consuming but worth the 100G.

So. I just got this achievement today. Without any cheats or tricks.

What I first did to start the moneyball rolling was to chop. For hours really.
And then I bought the bar in Bowerstone, + any building I could afford. Think I ended up on like 6-7k pr tic of income.

Then I didn't play the game for months. Just got back from playin' other games, and all of a sudden I was filthy rich.

Need to buy the castle for sure, that's worth a million right there. + U gotta buy Garth's tower, and Reaver's mansion. Then it's all about buying all shops and houses.
I didn't upgrade anything really, it just popped for me after teleporting around buying everything I could find.
Ofcourse not everyone has the time to wait months. But ^^

The fastest way I've earned money in the game is by buying all of the weapons you can in Bowerstone Old Town (since they're 50% off because of the guard) and then selling them to the traders in Fairfax Gardens (who will give you more than the weapon is worth due to their 32% markup). It can be very lucrative, especially once you start selling Master level weapons. You could spend less than $50K on weapons in Old Town, and make a profit of over $400K on those same weapons in Fairfax Gardens. If you do that occasionally as you're playing, you shouldn't have any trouble affording a lot of properties.

Also, go to the furniture stores in Bowerstone Market and Bloodstone whenever you're in those towns, and buy all of the four and five star furniture they have. That way, once you start buying
